Easy to find the location in Google Maps and the place is huge. You can do a 3-hour trek with a local guide for around 400k per person where you will enjoy 4 waterfalls and the blue lagoon with a quality swimming time. The waterfalls are walking distance from Shanti Hotel and all around you are surrounded by stunning views, green mountains and rice fields. You could sit in the restaurant and listen to the gentle sound of the waterfalls and birds as you relax. • Round the clock staff who are responsible for this make sure that all areas of the hotel meet its quality of cleanliness, rooms are cleaned everyday by default and if you require privacy and the room to be untouched, you have to let the front desk informed in the morning. • During Ramadan, breakfast buffet is not offered, however they have 4 set menus that you can order from. They do serve Lunch and Dinner as well and their food is delicious. • All the rooms are bungalow type rooms that are scattered all over the property. • All rooms had an unlimited water, tissues, bodywash, liquid soap and shampoo. However, they did not have Dental Kit or Sanity Kit. Fresh towels are provided and the shower is in the Bath Tub. This is not as comfortable, since the shower should be held while having a bath and makes the bathroom wet easily. • Tea/coffee or Creamer are not provided in the room. • Every room comes with a spacious bathrooms and Hot/Cold water for showers. Separate safe keeping facility are also available and the WIFI in room is relatively speed. • Value for money was satisfying regarding all aspects of the hotel.

Have to carry a bug spray as there are lot of tiny mosquitoes all over the place. However the room has Electric Mosquito repellents, hence make sure to switch it on as soon as you check in to the room. The A/C in the Nakhula room was blocked by the wooden bar of the bed, ensure you adjust the A/C vent to get proper cooling inside the room.

there are several catagories rooms. some bigger, some smaller, some with a better view. the cheaper rooms are smaller and have a downstairs sitting area. the more expensive rooms have a beautiful view. we opted for a larger room/bungalow with a large balcony with comfy lounge chairs. we were very happy. the restaurant was very cozy with good views and tasty food. we had our breakfast served on our balcony. monkeys in the garden. beautiful large swimmingpool. i regret not having hired a scooter at the hotel. we visited Lovina but found that very disappointing (there is however a real good bottelshop) next time i must bring shoes which prevent slipping on wet floors. the balcony gets wet if it rains.

i found climbing in the bath tub to have a shower dangerous.

I wanted a quiet and relaxing hotel and this was the perfect place for me. Every day I was sitting in the restaurant which has a stunning view on the mountains with jungle and the river and waterfall and clouds. I could sit there for hours and just relax after two weeks. I felt like reborn. While many tourists keep running around to visit waterfalls and temples. I was totally happy with sitting in the restaurant. Once or twice a day, I also went to the pool, which was very good for swimming. The food in the restaurant was very great and surprisingly cheap. Normally, I don’t eat in the hotel because they have 30% higher prices, but not here. I especially liked the chicken Gordon bleu, and im Austrian so I know what a good schnitzel is.

While they have a big area and lots of separate houses, but you can sit and relax, I was missing a possibility to walk around the area like in the circle. That way I could have walked for one or two hours just within the hotel area that would have been very nice and relaxing too and better than just sitting all day in the restaurant. Maybe they can improve it

The location is beautiful, the cottages are very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The view of the valley is simply stunning and you can see and hear a waterfall. The view from the restaurant and by the pool is simply brilliant. The staff are always available and very attentive. Many thanks to Mr. Komang for arranging dinner for me even after the restaurant had closed and for packing me breakfast on my way back!

This is a different side of Bali, it's definitely not a 'party place' which is what people who are more familiar with the southern part of the island may expect. This is a quiet village nestled in the mountain where you can unwind and relax. Definitely bring some mosquito repellent. Bugs are inevitable when you're in the middle of the forest among rice fields and the resort does put out mosquito coils to manage the bugs but it's always good to be well equipped.

The location is fantastic. I never got tired of gazing the stars-filled sky and beautiful sunrises each day. The staffs are amazing! Meals are excellent and well presented. Lots of activities which kept me having fun even traveling alone. There is an afternoon coffee/tea service with yummy cookies. I was impressed since early in the morning before 7am, the hotel staffs were already working and cleaning outside.They all seem to have a pride in their work. It was a perfect and memorable stay for me!

I hate bugs but in the nature, there are some insects… ants were everywhere and some dead butterfly wings left on the floor when I arrived. But they really cleaned well and took care of the matter seriously. The rest of my stay was like a magic.

We loved our stay here. The intricate woodcarving inside and outside our villa was spectacular. Our room was huge with a big, comfortable bed with mosquito net. One afternoon we watched the monkeys play right in front of our terrace. The pool was wonderful with breathtaking views of lush greenery and the waterfall. We really enjoyed the meals in the restaurant and the kind staff helped us organizing a tour to the waterfalls and Blue Lagoon as well as to Lovina. We also booked our driver to Ubud through them. The staff were so friendly. Would love to return one day.

The bathrooms are modest compared to the rest of the resort. We didn’t care but might be good to know. There were not really any other restaurants nearby so you eat in the hotel restaurant most of the time. It was good but normally we prefer to leave the property for meals.

If you get in real trouble, like if all the atms in the area stop working, and you can't get cash to pay the driver to get to the next hotel, don't expect any customer care, cos they don't care. They will just mess around, and tell you about things that they can't help you with, meanwhile if you are sick with a cough and stressed because you have money in your accounts but all of a sudden you can't access any, don't expect any empathy, support, you'll be all on your own. Typical lazy, self-centred, unhelpful Balinese. Some of them are helpful but not the guys in this hotel. They are incompetent and they don't care

This place is as close to Paradise as it gets. When you dream of going to Bali, this is the dream, traditional carved wood joglos nestled in the Sambalan Hills, amongst lush tropical plants and flowers, with the most lovely infinity pool with serene Buddha. Staff is totally on top of it. Place is tended and spotless. I was in Padma Joglo and it was a palace truly. Staff is lovely and helpful. Restaurant food is delicious especially yummy chicken satay.

Nothing could be better. It's like staying in a dreamworld. My 2nd time there.

It s such a peaceful place, with incredible gardens, views, rooms and staff. I extended my stay here because i loved it so much. Close to beautiful rice fields, waterfalls and 30 mn from the beach. The forest here is gorgeous and it is the ideal location to discover the real Balinese culture and life. The staff is the biggest highlight as they are the kindest genuine people and really open to share their culture. This is been a transformational stay for me and I am really grateful for all of them to have made my stay very special !!!

Everything was so perfect !!

Lovely villa with grand view of the hills, very much surrounded with nature. The bed n pillows were so comfortable and the toilet is huge! Staff were very attentive, helpful, and friendly. The pool location is perfect with the amazing view and sounds of a river nearby. the cafe location had a lovely view of sunset and waterfalls. Sounds of nature were serenading me to sleep. Overall, my stay was superb, and I am well rested & rejuvenated!

Wished they had a shower in the toilet. It's a bath adjustable shower head. Also missing some toilet amenities like cotton buds, toothbrush/paste and bedroom slippers.
