Not sure there will be enough room but here goes... Friendliness of staff (made you feel like part of an extended family) Tini, the owner was a powerhouse of knowledge and greeted all the travellers with such a friendly manner and was happy to sit and chat. Location was superb. Quick stroll to beachfront, convenience stores, warungs and restaurants, the main road, art and craft markets and nightlife/bars Different levels of accommodation all at bargain prices and included breakfast Two swimming pools (smaller pool near budget rooms and larger resort-style pool located at back of resort) with lots of sunbeds and shaded daybeds. Rooms cleaned to perfection and a jug of water replenished daily or refill at water stations in reception or restaurant. On-site restaurant had a selection of delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack options with a relaxing view over the resort-style pool. Spa on-site was amazing and well worth paying a little more for absolute bliss. Lovina is a wonderful place to stay, unwind and enjoy the peaceful life of North Bali. I will definitely be going back to Rambutan and stay longer. On this trip I stayed for 14 nights and could easily have stayed for a month or more!

We stayed in a Budget Room which was located near the front pool and Reception, Restaurant and main pool are towards the back of the hotel. The room was Budget but had everything needed, comfortable double bed, great A/C, tea/coffee provisions with BIG coffee mugs! a wardrobe, safe, fridge (with mini bar) and decent size bathroom with shampoo & soap provided. We practically had the front pool to ourselves most of the time. The grounds of the hotel are stunning, there are little area's everywhere to chill out. There's games & books you can borrow (located in the Restaurant), and a nice lounge area in the restaurant if you want to sit & read. The Restaurant itself overlooks the main pool. There is also a spa on site. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and always made you feel welcome. The hotel is located a short walk to the main beach area in Lovina with many restaurants, warungs & bars all close by - try Nemo's warung to the right of the volleyball court at the beach front - great food, great service, good prices & cold drinks! We will definitely be back again 😊

Nothing - it was all great!

Among the most beautiful hotel grounds I've ever seen, with lush tropical gardens and thoughtful landscaping. The rooms are older-style with Balinese-influenced details, very attractive and - in my opinion - much nicer than a modern-style hotel. Our rooms were upstairs with an interconnecting door (very useful!) and large balconies. The rooms themselves were huge, with high ceilings, and lovely views of the mountains and the garden. Beds were comfortable. Two swimming pools, both lovely and always clean. Pleasant breakfast/restaurant area, and staff were helpful making gluten-free adaptations for my child with coeliac disease. Hotel was lovely and quiet, away from the busy main road but close to everything, and staff were friendly.

A bigger range of breakfast options (there are 5) would be good, as well as a larger range of fruit. A couple more lounge chairs needed around the smaller pool, as it was sometimes hard to find a spot there. Fridge in one of our rooms was noisy. All relatively minor concerns though - we absolutely loved the Rambutan.

Fantastic garden hotel in tranquil Lovina Beach, with gorgeous grounds and a lovely setting. Staff are delightful and the pools (two of them!) are perfect for an afternoon swim in the tropical heat. Lots of nice restaurants just minutes away, plus some excellent local cafes for an espresso fix. If you're looking for a low-key Bali escape, this should be your base. If south Bali is too buzzy, overdeveloped and costly for your tastes, Lovina is a pleasant reminder of traditional Balinese delights. Tip: Ask for a tour to the beautiful Buddhist temple and beautiful Banjar hot springs - just short drive away, and very relaxing.

The breakfast was basic. Nice fruits, a choice of dishes and average juice and coffee. Just a quibble, because overall the hotel is great value for money.

Rambutan hotel is a wonderful relaxing place to stay. With large clean rooms,beautiful gardens , two swimming pools, a restaurant on site and a short walk to the beach front and good warungs and restaurants it is very good value. The room (deluxe) was huge and had a big bathroom with a constant flow of hot water, the fridge was large and cold. The wifi worked well throughout the property and staff were great. Breakfast choices were limited but were fine and they could be topped up ( for a price) from the menu. The large pool near the restaurant was heaven and was super clean. Will be back.

I was not impressed by the spa-the actual place or the staff. It is onsite and reasonable prices so it seemed a good idea to use but I wish I had gone to one along the road. I had a massage and facial. The massage was nothing more than rubbing oil on my skin though I indicated I wanted a deeper massage. The towel in place where my head was smelled and was much to large for the space, I asked for it to be removed but the under cushion was not pleasant either making it not relaxing at all. The attendent moved onto the facial without any warning and did not speak throught the whole process so I had no idea what was to come next. This was the only thing I didnt like about the place so know not to use it in future

Nice room. Lovely staff. Incredible gardens and grounds. Very nice vibe to the place. Breakfast was pretty good - a selection of about 5 options, mainly eggs, pancakes, toast and of course mie/nasi goreng. Fun wildlife in the garden including frogs and bugs, good for the kids to observe. Location good, lots of Warungs and other food places nearby. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing really. Shower could be a bit stronger.

The deluxe room was large, very clean, had a lovely bathroom with a powerful shower, a fridge, good AC, provided drinking water, had a safe and a terrace. There are 2 swimming pools, we only used the one by the restaurant. It was clean and beautiful. The area around the pool and the gardens are really pretty and well maintained. A lovely setting for breakfast/meals. The hotel is very close to the beach (5 minute walk) and there are many restaurants, bars, shops and tour offices on the road to the beach. A cheap laundry is literally opposite the hotel gate.

Breakfast wasn't great. The fresh fruit was uncovered on the bar and had ants crawling on it. Pancakes and jaffles (toasted sandwiches) were tasteless.

The place was beautiful. The spa was lovely, the pools were really nice especially the one with the waterfall.

The welcome drink was a squash/cordial. The breakfast was awful. The coffee and tea with breakfast was not drinkable, even though the coffee that you could buy was fine. The 'juice' at breakfast was again cordial/squash, not fresh juice. We left the breakfast as was really very bad. We bought toasties in the restaurant too and they weren't great. The bed was also way to hard and gave me a back ache and I like a hard bed! There was a tv on the wall but it had no working channels?

The position is excellent, 3min walk from the beach and 3mins walk from the main street. Room was large, clean and peaceful, silent. Restaurant location within the hotel is superb, just aside the swimming pool and with a view on the internal garden/forest. Great breakfast service for the late sleepers! We could order the breakfast for them and take it to their room. Dinner menu was rich and high quality balinese food. Personnel is really an asset for the place - very helpful, kind, always available and discreet - the latter being very rare in Bali! They really stand out.

Our airco was a bit noisy and not working 100% perfectly - however we could get along with it since nights were not too warm. otherwise we would have called the service. Fresh fruit salad at breakfast was excellent!!! Papaya and watermelon freshly cut every day. Although we liked it very much, and we had it all days, perhaps having more variety would have added the "cherry to the pie"

From the minute you arrive at the beautiful open-air local reception, you feel nothing but very welcomed! The gardens, pool, and actually the whole serene environment make for a gorgeous stay. It's an old Bali style hotel which we absolutely love. Large rooms, lots of space, huge bathrooms, and big verandah for relaxing on. Breakfast included is perfect by the pool. Location great...lots of warungs on the street and beach 100mtrs away. And their gift shop next door is fab too!
