The location is at a walkable distance from jodipan and city center. Toilets were clean, bed was comfy. There is water, coffee and tea available. The staff were very helpful even before my stay, sending all info through messages. I also highly recommend their 3-day tour to East Java, the whole team was very organized, perfect accommodations and good food, our driver Heri was the best ! Everything went very smoothly.

The room is a bit tiny, especially when everyone is packing their stuff at the same time. Toilets can get quite busy before tours departure.

Super friendly and helpful staff. They organise lots of tours and are ready to answer all your questions regarding the rest of your trip, or if you need help with booking anything. I did not join any of their tours but I talked to a lot of people how did and really enjoyed it, so I think they are great value for money if you are looking forward to that. They let you stay in the common area of the hostel or even take a shower after check out if you have a train or shuttle bus later during the day. The wifi is good and the hostel is just a 10-15 minute walk away from both train stations of Malang. The hostel provides good restaurant recommendations and a free to use water fountain. Overall, an amazing place to stay either for a tour in Java or if you need some time to figure out the next of your trip and how you organise it. The staff will help you and because many people come here for the tours, they are overall quite social and it is easy to find people who can give you further information about what you want to do later in your trip.

The staff has been welcoming, it was like being in a family! One of the receptionists, since I was sick and I could not stay on the 3rd floor in a bunk bed, offered me her own bed while another room was ready🥹 we had a tour at Bromo organised by the hostel: an unforgettable experience! They even borrowed us 2 jackets! They did everything to make us happy :) The room and toilets were clean.

The cleaning of some common parte could be improved (eg tables outiside) but generally speaking the accomodation is clean

MADOR Dorm Hostel were the most helpful ever, they went above and beyond, answering all our questions and providing us with the best advice and recommendations. They really have the best customer service, everyone who works there is very very friendly and welcoming. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean & spotless, very comfortable beds. The location is ideal, very central and barely any street noise, cannot complain. The 3day 2night Bromo Ijen tour was amazing from start to finish, provided us with great transportation and tour bus drivers Jim and Mr Boy were extremely helpful and kind to everyone, made each day better. Our Bus Driver Mr Boy is a true gentleman! 10/10 overall

everything was perfect , the facilities, rooms and the staff. and the tours they arranged were very nice and matched my expectations. will defiantly consider staying here next time , no doubt.

Nothing … the only suggestion I have is install an electrical gate with access control that customers can use to access the hostel after 10pm . but the current situation is fine they will happily support your access after 10pm.

The first thing we notice as we enter is how clean the place is. The room suprise us even more. The room smell so 🌸niceeee🌸 that we had to ask them what type of detergent they were using cause the room smell so goooodddd🤭 hahaha the room was very comfortable and the shared toilet is also clean. The first night of our stay the aircon had a leaked and we told the staff to get it checked and they were super fast to fix it the next day. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Overall, we had a pleasant stay here. Thank you so much!!

Very clean and the staff were helpful and explained things well. We liked that there were female-only dorms.

When we tried to leave for a tour (not organised by the hostel) at 5am, we found we were locked in. I called a number which had been left on the front desk for about 10 minutes before I found someone asleep who let us out. I understand that the front doors need to be locked for safety, however this could have been explained when we checked in as we told them we had a tour at 5am the next morning.

This place is great! We had lots of space to lay out our suitcases in our private room. Very clean place and can tell the bathrooms are checked often. Love the kitchen area and being able to store cold drinks. The staff are friendly and soooo helpful. They suggested vegetarian restaurants, helped us book our train tickets, and were all round very welcoming and accommodating. We loved our stay here.

Perhaps a laundry facility would have been helpful for us, usually we use the bathroom to hand wash things but this was a little awkward to do in a shared bathroom facility with gender separated. Not a biggie though!

Amazing staff, the building is a hidden gem and there is a large courtyard. Very clean and staff is always ready to help you book an excursion or answer questions. There is no kitchen, but there is free coffee, water, and tea. We didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast, but we heard it’s amazing. It’s perfect as a backpacker looking for a safe and clean place to stay when planning to see Mt. Bromo!

The surrounding area is extremely busy so just be aware of that, but the hostel itself was fabulous
