Our stay was amazing. The hospitality off each and everyone in the staff is increadable and on point. They are genuily interested in making our stay perfect and manage to do so. We recently had the pleasure of sleeping 4 nights at Cicada, and I must say, it was an absolutely extraordinary experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked through the door, we where greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the entire stay. We started with a welcome drink and ceremony wich made us feel welcome. The room was perfect clean 2 times a day and free water and snacks. The view of the pool and the room was amazing. The food at Tangelo is nothing short of spectacular. Each dish is a work of art on a plate, showcasing not only culinary expertise but also a true passion for gastronomy. The menu is a delightful journey through flavors and textures, with each bite more exquisite than the last. The presentation of the dishes is a testament to the creativity of the chefs, and every meal felt like a carefully crafted masterpiece. But it's not just only the food that makes exceptional; it's the impeccable service. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this review. Everything was absolutely perfect the hotel itself, our room, the food, the spa… During our stay, we enjoyed every facility available. We had breakfast and dinner daily, booked a massage, joined a skincare session, and from the moment we walked in the door, everything absolutely everything was wonderful. I’ll never forget the welcome ceremony they offered upon our arrival it was a beautiful touch. As a hotelier and a chef, this was a truly unique experience for me. From the very first moment, the Front Office Manager, Lalu, took excellent care of us. He even spoke a few words in Turkish as he had previously worked in Türkiye, which was a lovely surprise. Lalu even took care of our transfer to our next hotel. He definitely deserves a promotion. I’ve been in the hospitality industry for 12 years, and I’ve never seen a Front Office Manager like him! The lady who assisted us during check-in (I can’t remember her first name, but her maiden name was Sari) was very polite and kind. Throughout our stay, our room attendant Adi made us feel completely at home and surprised us in the sweetest ways every time we entered our room thank you so much for that. A big thanks to Novi at the spa who did my massage and facial treatment she was amazing. Our room was incredible, with fantastic amenities. We didn’t want to leave the private hot tub. I honestly dream of staying in the exact same room when we return. I’d like to offer a very special thank you to the kitchen team. I tried nearly everything at breakfast it was all delicious. My husband tried the traditional Balinese breakfast and really enjoyed it. The waitstaff at breakfast were kind and attentive. As for the dinners Nico took care of our table both nights and made sure we were comfortable.(He was also working the morning shift we saw him both in the evening and the morning, and yet his energy was still at its peak, and he continued to deliver outstanding service

We stayed in the deluxe villa, the stay was amazing. The staff is super friendly and welcoming that you would feel they will carry you. The room was clean and they paid attention even to the smallest details. The private pool is temperature controlled and warm . The breakfast is amazing and super delicious and they offered us halal options as we requested. Everything was just lovable and amazing. I want to thank Mr. Lalu, Ms. Hana and all the team

Nothing to complain about . It will be best if you need to relax in the resort and enjoy facilities. But in case you are going for daily activities I would recommend to go to another hotel more close to the city

The staff and the views make this a perfect stay in paradise! The cultural elements, too, we absolutely loved, e.g. the traditional Balinese dancing and music at breakfast and dinner. Every member of staff is polite and friendly and will do everything they can to help you and make your stay perfect. We would 100% recommend this hotel and hope to be back. The views are to die for and the trips and entertainment offered are brilliant.

The pool was closed for maintenance on the first day of our trip and we were not informed until we arrived, which was disappointing. In addition, the food quality, temperature, choices and menu need improvements. Most food at breakfast and dinner was cool or cold when served. In addition, the breakfast menu setup could be better as the dishes you order all arrive at different times, so you can't enjoy the food together, instead just random dishes separately.

Everything! I've stayed all over the world and this is honestly one of the best hotels I've been to. The staff make the difference with such a personal service and helpful attitude. So many small details in the room like different biscuits every day. Breakfast is just incredible with such an amazing choice of original dishes. Generally an experience filled with small details that made it very special.

Some areas of the grounds feel a bit like they're still under construction but it's a fact the hotel is only a year old so they can't make plants grow faster.

Im going to get to beauty and serenity of this place later, but first - staff and breakfast were just outstanding. I can’t even describe how sincerely kind and curious and accommodating the staff was. We could not get over it with my husband! We live in Thailand which is the land of smiles so we are used to friendly service, but that was another level. Thumbs up to HR, you did more than great. Then - the complimentary breakfast is out of this world and beats all the breakfast / brunch restaurants that I tried and hands down the best hotel breakfast ever - I don’t think it can get any better than that. Impossible to beat, at some point it just does not get any better than that. Cleaning team - so kind and lovely, once again - everyone is speaking English and you feel at home. Later - infinity pool with the view - a dream! Location is serene and further from center of Ubud, but closer to Mount Batur, Tirta Epul temple and many waterfalls. Very convenient to get a motorbike or a taxi. There is a free shuttle service to the old town too. Thank you so much to incredible staff, Yumi and the rest - everyone from the front desk to cleaning team - you made our stay special and full of great vibes. With all hotel options in Ubud - next year we’re coming back to exactly same place.

You might want to get ear plugs if you’re staying in suites, it was bit loud when other people were walking by or closing doors.

Meet and Greet: Swift check in through WhatsApp before we arrive and we were Greeted warmly by the reception team specially by Mrs. Hana with refreshing drink at the lobby. Rooms: Were quite nice and almost as shown in pictures with great view Restroom: Where clean and beautiful Breakfast : The food was interesting classy in they way they service but we had some language difficulty during the order since its Alacarte base Environment: Was very relaxing except the music selection in the morning "its too loud and fast tempo!" Staff: Very helpful and friendly team and Chef Buda was very creative all the time :-)

Location: Its a bit far from central Ubud you'll need transportation all the time, nothing to do near the resort except village walk and few activities early morning ! on the other hand, its the smallest resort that we have stayed ever. Pool: Most pools of the resort were not equipped with water heater and the water was freezing in day time since it rains almost every night, which we haven't been informed before our arrival or even during booking. Facility : Too many satires to move between villas and places, very small open gym with minimum equipment and unexpert spa stuff. Note: The resort uses local incense which might not suit all guest! it might cause migraine or headache and due to difference in elevation too.

Absolutely everything. Cicada is like a dream come true for those who want a peaceful experience in the heart of a authentic Ubud Forest/jungle with stunning views and many facilities. The food was outstanding whether it be the breakfast, lunch or dinner. We stayed at Villa 01 which had a private pool and it was stunning, super clean, modern with a beautiful finish. The staff were amazing. I can’t remember all the names but to all who we met ( I remember Adi who was brilliant) thank you so much for such heartwarming time. We could not ask for more. They were extremely polite, always serving with you smiles and always helpful with anything you need. I must give credit to where credit is due, this resort is somewhere I can return to happily knowing I will be taken care of. I noticed some comments regarding staff “pressuring” guests however that is not the case. They are being polite and just making conversation with no ill intentions. Good staff makes a big difference when staying at resorts and hotels, I can definitely say these staff members made our time there even better. The Spa was beautiful, me and my husband had a couple spa on our second to last day which was delightful and relaxing to say the least. All the pools and jacuzzis were lovely and clean and not a busy overlooking a stunning view of the forest. I could continue writing forever if I’m honest but the best word to describe our experience at cicada luxury resort overall would be perfection.
