Our stay at Sandat was a truly memorable experience. The buildings and setting were wonderful : among lush green forest and beautifully tended gardens. It was so easy to get into Ubud with the free shuttle bus and such a pleasure to come back to the peace and quiet. Our room was one of the “rice barns “ The bedroom was spacious and comfortable and loved having a lower sitting room with a view of the pool. Gorgeous furnishings again and the fresh flowers were a lovely touch. The dining hall was amazing ; like a bamboo cathedral ! Dinner and drinks were excellent, as was the service at all times : the staff were super attentive, polite and courteous. Loved all the linen sofas and chairs , lime washed candles ; and the tablescaping was to die for : beautiful crockery , napkins and cutlery. Afternoon tea served on pretty china with home made biscuits was a real treat. A really special stay , made even more wonderful by the kind , friendly and considerate staff . Thank you !

If you're wondering whether glamping in Bali is the way to go, let me ease your concerns. This place is amazing. From the moment we set foot on the property we were greeted by a wonderful staff and the sounds of nature. We stayed 8 nights here and had very memorable experiences each day. The morning yoga overlooking the rice paddy fields is a must do and the scenery around the property is really something special. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each day featuring local cuisine as well as classic western staples. In case you have an early morning tour, the staff can prepare a to-go breakfast box that was really helpful a few times during our stay. If your worried about being far from the Ubud city center, the shuttle that the resort offers is always ready to drop/pick you up and is always on time. As for the rooms themselves, they are extremely well decorated and evoke a true Balinese vibe with the sounds of nature during the night providing an unmatched tropical glamping experience. The entire staff was extremely helpful and treated us like family. They are super attentive and accommodative for any needs you might have and are aware of dietary/food preferences. The food was also excellent, and we enjoyed the dinner 6 times out of our 8-night stay which says a lot about the quality of the food. We also had the opportunity to speak with the owner, Frederico, who was extremely personable and warm. Overall, one of the best places we have stayed at and would definitely come back! PS: Try the spring rolls, they are the best we've ever had...

Sandat Glamping in Ubud offers a truly luxurious and memorable experience. We had the privilege of returning to the same tent we stayed in previously, which is perfectly maintained, adding a nostalgic and personal touch as it was for our anniversary. The tent is impeccably designed, blending modern comfort with natural elegance, surrounded by the lush Balinese jungle and rice fields. A significant highlight of our stay was the hospitality of Federico, the owner, whose kindness and charisma truly enhanced my experience. He even took me on a wonderful run through the surrounding rice fields and jungle, offering insights into the stunning landscape that surrounds the glamping site. The 28 staff members were consistently attentive, friendly, and ready to assist, making us feel welcomed and cared for at all times. The amenities at Sandat are equally impressive. We enjoyed exceptional meals, featuring a variety of delicious options that catered to every taste. The service extended to poolside massages right in front of our tent, a luxurious and relaxing touch that added to the indulgence. Additionally, the daily yoga sessions were conducted with great professionalism and sensitivity, either complimentary or available by reservation, providing a perfect start to the day. The complimentary shuttle service to Ubud’s numerous attractions made exploring the area convenient and enjoyable, adding another layer of ease to our stay. My stay here was exceptional and a definite highlight of my time in Bali. The tents themselves are so thoughtfully put together, with complete privacy from other guests. Attention to detail and cleanliness are spot on, and while it’s a bit further than you might want to be from central Ubud, the shuttle service takes care of that. But the real stars are the staff. Tengo’s yoga sessions were outstanding. And when I said I wanted to experience a water blessing, Nusa - another member of staff - took me and guided me through the entire experience. She made it so special and I was so grateful to her for that. I genuinely can’t wait to go back.

The property is absolutely stunning, the gardens are beautifully maintained with lots of little secret paths, you are greeted on arrival with chilled towels and an infused water, orange and mint. I loved all the quirky furniture and they have pretty china that they rotate at breakfast. You get a complimentary afternoon tea which is a tea or coffee with homemade biscuits. I found the staff to be extremely kind and friendly with nothing being too much trouble, we ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was very nice. There is a shuttle that takes you into town and the road has been fixed so it was a very smooth ride. I loved all the plants and flowers and the fish pond. Every little detail is thought of and done well, this was a truly magical experience

Spectacular way to spend a very special occasion celebrating my husbands 50th surprise Birthday. The floating breakfast and romantic dinner set up was such a highlight with beautiful added details to add to the surprise!!!Communication from when I booked was amazing and staff always so attentive and going out of their way to answer questions and assist with anything I was looking for. Staff were so warm and welcoming. We loved the privacy of tent ,it felt very luxurious with our private pool. we made most of two nights here and spent time just enjoying the surrounds of our accomodation.

Loved how the staff were very welcoming and attentive. They made us feel very special. WhatsApp used to communicate with front desk. Top decor inside the tent. Our tent had an extremely luxurious feel to it on the inside due to unique furnishings. Breakfast was delicious and the outdoor/ indoor feel to the restaurant was so unique. Again, great furnishings especially for a glamping site. Our tent area was extremely private and our pool was just an added bonus!

The only downfall to our stay was that the tent next door were extremely loud on the second night. Even though the tents are extremely private and surrounded by jungle, trees and plants, they are very close together. We struggled to sleep until the early hours/ after 2am on our second night due to the neighbouring tents loud music and talking amongst other things they were upto - making our second night quite an uncomfortable one. We did WhatsApp the front desk about the noise, asking them to intervene/ help, but it was so late that they didn't pick up the message.

Everything was exceptional. My partner and I stayed for 3 nights in the Lombong house (traditional rice barn). We were lucky to have the pool to ourselves, usually shared with 3 houses. During the hot days, staff brought us pitchers of water with fruit. The design of the lombong house was beautifully done, with open air seating area downstairs, a partially open air bathroom; and very comfortable and clean bedroom upstairs. The staff were exceptional and friendly. After our hike to Mt Batur, dinner was served to us in the seating area of the lombong house. Food was excellent and there is a beautiful yoga/exercise stage overlooking the terrace. This was a wonderful luxury yet home-like stay. Surrounded by greenery and nature. Slightly off the beaten track, but still closely situated to Ubud center and other attractions. Would highly recommend!

The service was perfect. Warm welcome from the staffs, providing shuttles to Ubud central street. The best experienced we had, was they prepared breakfast box for us when we told them that we were unable to dine in since we have to leave at 7:30am. Really helpful!!

There is no roof above the shower place, so you will see maybe flies, slugs sort of insects around the shower room. Also, they don’t provide amenities.

The gardens and landscaping is beautiful and well thought out. The jungle views are incredible. The food is delicious and served in a perfect and well thought out way. The staff is very very good ,kind and helpful. We didn’t stay in one of the tents but we were able to visit them and they are a must to stay if you come all this way. The bar/restaurant is amazing made out of large bamboo. Good WiFi. Wonderful and relaxing
