Ra Cottage Mandalika made my time in Lombok! I originally booked accommodation at LOKA Lombok, but after just two nights, I knew it wasn’t the right fit. Booking Ra Cottage last minute turned out to be the best decision of my trip. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely relaxed and at home. I needed a scooter and a SIM card on arrival—and had never ridden a scooter before. The staff went above and beyond, helping me rent one and even giving me a quick lesson to get started. Their kindness and support made a huge difference. Mornings at Ra Cottage were a highlight. Having breakfast at their new restaurant while overlooking the jungle was such a peaceful way to start the day. The location strikes a perfect balance: just a 5-minute scooter ride to the main restaurants in Kuta, but far enough to enjoy the quiet and feel immersed in the local culture and daily life. I loved it here so much that I extended my stay by five nights. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again if I return to Lombok—Ra Cottage is a true gem.

I just had the one night here in a standard double. The setup of the place is great with a leafy garden and freestanding rooms surrounding the pool and eating area. It's a little out of town on the fringe you will need a bike which everyone rents in Kuta anyway to tour the coastline. It's a bumpy ride in off the main drag but worth it. Room was large and comfortable..Good bedding. Good shower pressure. Nice and quiet.

The bathroom was a bit of a letdown. Stained and cracked tiles in the shower. Brekky was pretty basic. There is construction across the street from the entrance although the rooms and pool area are sufficiently distant from it to not be a deal breaker.

Beautiful, new and cozy common area and garden. The cottage itself was very nice, amazing outdoor bathroom, all clean. The pool invites to spend the day there to relax. The staff was very helpful and friendly. With a scooter you can be in the centre in no time. Calm surroundings.

Some clarifications as we read it in other comments: the entrance is still under construction, therefore you can hear some noise during the day, but it's barely noticeable. We only had no water for a couple of minutes due to construction on some days. Also, the mosque can only very slightly be heard, like in the rest of the village as well we guess. But no reasons to not book it :)

Breakfast was lovely. Location was a bit out of the way so you needed transport of some description.

The rooms were nice and the air conditioning worked very well. The staff were excellent and a big plus for me. They really did their best to make your stay as good as possible! My included breakfast was very good with multiple choices and a juice and coffee/tea to go with it. Rentable bikes good. Overall, the place was very nice, clean and I recommend staying here!

Location was not the best. At the end of a dirt road with a lot of construction work on the road when I was there. Doable with some experience with a moterbike but if you are a beginner not the best.

I love the relaxed vibe of this place! It is more a hotel with some shared room, which is more elevated than a regular hostel. Anyway, people here is friendly and it is easy to get new friends. The pool is very nice and you have two quiet areas with proper table where to work or watch television.

Breakfast is not bed, but overall food is not really good. Wifi comes and goes, anyway there are some part of the hostel that have proper connection and quiet space to work.

Very beautiful establishment, the pool, garden, room are all really nice and well decorated Decent WiFi throughout the property Friendly and helpful reception arranged my pick-up, drop-off, motorbike rental and even cautiously kept the item I accidentally forgot in the room after checkout for me to pick up Location is a bit outside of the main strip, but not a problem since you’ll end up renting a scooter anyway

Shower was a bit tricky in my room, either cold or boiling hot

The place is amazing, you got areas to chill, including a pool, a restaurant, there is a nice atmosphere. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Very clean and you can also rent a bike with them at a very good price.

Nothing really, it's s a little bit away from the centre but I also like this, the quietness and to be surrounded by local people rather than the tourist hub.

Great pool and outdoor area, free coffee and tea all day, big room with a fridge what’s very nice, really friendly staff, easy to rent a scooter with them, pretty calm area but close to the city with the scooter.

The bathroom was pretty dark and the shower and toilet didn’t work sometimes, sheets and pillows weren’t that clean, just basic breakfast and no lunch or dinner options at all, what means u need to go to the city everyday to eat (but it’s easy with the scooter like we said, maybe not so for people who aren’t into driving). And the front door didn’t close so well what’s a bit annoying cause of the mosquitoes. But then ur in nature so animals are pretty normal and nothing to complain about.

We loved everything about the place.. In 5 months of travelling around, this was our favourite place to stay and would 100% stay again. The own Bachtair and his staff are extremely helpful and kind.. Best customer service I've ever seen.. the layout of the complex is perfect.. there's a good social vibe around the pool area. The rooms are super clean, best showers with decent water pressure. Only a quick drive to get to central Kuta.. all in all a perfect place to stay.
