I had a wonderful stay at Akotika. The hotel itself has a unique charm, blending history with comfort, but what truly stood out was the service. Every member of the staff was attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The breakfast was also excellent, especially the fresh pastries, which were a real highlight. I would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Acre.

The room was beautiful - if I was designing an ensuite bedroom for my house, this would be a great inspiration. The bathroom was also wonderful. The view was amazing and access to the lounge was a lovely bonus. Breakfast was outstanding - fresh, delicious and varied. We were treated to a drink by the owner and his wife who breakfasted beside us,

I hate to say it but I could not get the TV to work, I tried for a long while with no success. At some point I needed an electrical extension cable. I asked the front desk and was given a "we don't have one". I would've expected a little more effort to be made to locate one. There was incessant hammer drilling going on in one of the neighbouring buildings. I dont know that the management could've done anything about it but it was annoying.

The rooms are very nice, the staff super affable- BUT with several shortcomings , and the breakfast amazing Got Two rooms upgraded

The surrounding area through which you have to go to get to the hotel is not nice . Days before check in they started bothering me saying I had to be in early because the staff leaves . That is NOT in their. Information and when you are on vacation you go to the hotel when you finish your sightseeing not in midafternoon because people need to go home . Israel has notorious bad service in hotels and specially when you compare price/quality it is shameful the way they treat tourism after charging what they charge . Some rooms need to use stairs : also not in the info and if you have big luggage that is a problem .

The rooms were very nice, well furnished, comfortable with amazing views. The hotel owners were really friendly and made us feel at home. A very relaxing stay and an amazing location to explore the city from.

The breakfast normally starts quite late (8:30am) which makes it difficult to utilise when on work trips. Although the owners went out of their way to accommodate us with an earlier time. An iron would have been useful addition to have.

Unique rooms. Good location, nice breakfast, nicely decorated. friendly staff.

The original room that we ordered with the indoor pool wasn’t available as there was a problem with the electrics so the water wasn’t warm, we were given an alternative room and a 25% discount, the next day we were told the problem was fixed so we moved to the room with the pool, but the water was really cold and we couldn’t use it. we had both rooms available to us for both nights which was a nice gesture, but the only reason we chose this hotel was for the indoor pool which we couldn’t use.

Lovely hotel in a traditional old building at the heart of the old town, really good size rooms with nice toiletries. Breakfast on the roof was a lovely setting.

Would have been nice to have a more extensive breakfast selection e.g. toast and spreads and fresh pancakes. The offering was quite good our first day but more limited the day after. Would have been nice to have a drink on the roof in the evening but it was unfortunately closed. Rooms a little tired and worn.

The staff was so nice and helpful! from giving us an upgrade when we arrived, to making sure every little detail of our stay was to our liking. the location of the hotel was perfect, walking distance from every place in the old city. The beautiful luxurious suite with ocean view, was clean as well as comfortable. the breakfast was on the rooftop and delicious. highly recommend!

Included breakfast was delicious and generous. Happy hour cocktails were great. Views, location, room, lounge - all just perfect. We felt comfortable and relaxed throughout our stay. We marveled at the unusual arrangement of rooms and facilities along a rather romantic, narrow alleyway that serves several local homes and businesses. This might surprise and perhaps disconcert folks who expect or require a more conventional accommodation model, but we found it all to be delightful, intriguing and romantic.

The bar was not open the evening we arrived (a Tuesday). No reason for this was given, and we had looked forward to this treat, so a bit disappointed by that. It was open the following night, and was great. Met the owner who was gracious and informative. Hours are a bit short, though: 6:00 pm to sunset. The bar could open at 5:00 and stay open a bit longer, IMHO. There is a nice flat screen TV in the room that is operated with two remotes. I'm technically very proficient and used to that arrangement, but could not get this to work at all. It did not matter that much, but it should be fixed. WiFi and internet were OK - Adequate but not great.

I highly recommend Akotika for its excellent location, superb staff, and spacious, clean rooms equipped with all the necessary facilities. The beautifully decorated rooms make for a special experience. The breakfast served is also of great quality. Overall, the price is definitely worth it.

Regrettably, the hotel is kosher so the Saturday morning breakfast could have been more complete.
