We had a wonderful stay here! Great spacious room that was, clean cool and very functional. The microwave and fridge was a big plus. If you're walking (we were probably the only guests EVER to have done that) it's 30 minutes outside of central Alpine. Driving here is just a few minutes and most of the other hotels in Alpine are out here. The room had a giant comfy bed and a couch as well. Lots of storage space and a desk. Check in/out was really eaay in the diner that's next to the hotel. They even got us our room early!

For some reason this hotel has been given a lot of bad reviews. We can't really understand why. If I try really hard to find something bad.. the hair dryer wasn't working. They would probably have solved that if I had asked them.

The location from Sul Ross University was in walking distance I was there for my son graduation

Housekeeping never came to clean the room or take out the garbage no clean towels just nothing I was there for 3 days

The ice fridge did not work well. I lost some groceries i had for the night but everything else was well

Bed and bathroom very clean. Bed very comfortable. Good ambience and staff. Average value for money.

No microwave in the room - very unusual for a US motel at this level.

The room was very clean, they take Covid protection seriously. If guest is there for more than one night, the housekeeping staff do not enter the room at all. When the guest leaves the room is deep cleaned for the next guest.

There is no clear signage saying that to check into the hotel one must go into Penny’s Diner, across the entrance to the parking lot. I had to direct two different couples to the Diner as they were looking for the “front office”. The only other negative is that the hot water temperature needs to be raised about three degrees to be called “hot water”.

The staff was very helpful and friendly.

My card key didn’t unlock the door very well even after they reprogrammed it twice.

Very clean great mattress. Great wifi.

It didn't bother us but someone else might be bothered that the exterior doors were never locked.
