We were quite surprised and absolutely impressed that the hotel owner actually walked from the hotel to the bus stop to greet us. Prior to our arrival from Amalfi he texted to ensure we were on the correct bus and that we got off at the correct stop. He walked us back to the hotel and straight to our room. The room was large and very clean, had the usual amenities, and included a balcony where we could see the activities in the small town square. We believe it was the family patriarch that looked for us the next morning as we sat on a local bench near the hotel just taking in the morning. He invited us to the dining room behind the hotel for a wonderful breakfast that included entirely too much food for two of us.

There was nothing we didn't like about our stay.

Staff is soooo friendly and helpful --> just stay at this place and you have a perfect experience of the "Sentiero degli Dei" (directly next to the hotel, staff helps you book your ferry back etc.) The view from the terrace is breathtaking - mountains on one side, sea on the other. Huge breakfast to be prepared for hiking.

Lovely location, handy for buses, and located in a lovely square with enough local amenities. The family run hotel was like home from home. Mario and his family are so welcoming and go the extra mile to make your stay an enjoyable one.

Amazing location. The hotel was lovely, with beautiful gardens & Mario was so helpful. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer as so much to explore here. We will definitely be back.

A very nice family run hotel. Mario is a great guy and very helpful. The staff is excellent. Free parking is a bonus. I would recommend this hotel if in the area. Very close to Amalfi but away from the crowds and noise. Hotel in a beautiful little village square.

There was no air condition although that is apparently being rectified.

Hotel Gentile is in the main square of Agerola. if you are doing the Path of the Gods walk it starts outside the hotel so perfect location . has a good restaurant and Mario the owner is very friendly and helpful nice rooms , good breakfast and good price I will be back another time

The bed was actually two twins push together in this very uncomfortable. Pillows really really bad.

Nice little village. Excellent location for the start of the "Path of the gods" hiking tour, clean rooms, satisfying breakfast.

Great breakfast and warm friendly staff. Super handy to the ‘Walk of the Gods’, one of the best walks you will ever do.

They said we would have a washing machine and we didn’t.

Mario and his family were wonderful people. as well as the American Mario that sat in the front patio that helped us check in as we had misplaced our credit card. they let us check in without paying and we came back to pay later. the place was exceptionally clean and we will definitely come back. thanks Mario
