Location: Definitely located in central area of Sorrento. It's very conveninent to travel either by train (10min walk) or by ferry (15min walk) Breakfast: Great variety of bakeries Room: It is a brand new hotel, everything is just clean. The beds are comfy. This hotel is definitely in the top tier in Sorrento for the same cost, considering there're many other bigger (but not necessarily cleaner and nicer) hotels nearby in the area.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink and warm smiles; the perfect start to what became an exceptional stay. Every single member of staff was friendly, approachable, and genuinely eager to make our time here as enjoyable as possible; nothing was ever too much trouble. Breakfast was fantastic, with a wide selection to suit every taste, and the team were more than happy to prepare additional dishes on request, like perfectly fresh poached eggs. The food from the hotel restaurant was exceptional; beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and served with the same attentive care we experienced throughout our stay. The hotel itself, including the pool area, was absolutely immaculate. Sun loungers were always available, and we were greeted with fresh towels before being taken to our preferred spot. Throughout the day, staff regularly checked in to see if we wanted our umbrella adjusted to suit the sun; such a thoughtful touch. Our room and the sky lounge had the most breathtaking views, overlooking the sea and Mount Vesuvius; a sight we never tired of. Every member of the team, from reception and bar staff to maids, pool attendants, and the dedicated advice team, was attentive and professional. Their local knowledge was invaluable, offering fantastic recommendations for trips, excursions, and restaurants, helping us make the most of every day. We also loved the friendly chats and light-hearted football banter about Manchester United and Napoli; it made us feel even more at home. We stayed at Ara Maris for 3 nights with a friend, and honestly, it was far too short – we didn’t want to leave! The hotel is beautiful, cozy, and located in a perfect spot to explore Sorrento and the surrounding areas. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptional – warm, helpful, and genuinely kind. A special thank you to Giulia at the concierge – she went above and beyond to help us make the most of our short stay. Thanks to her, we had an amazing tour and a car arranged to take us along the stunning Amalfi coast. That experience alone was unforgettable! The rooftop bar and restaurant is truly something special – not just for the views, but the whole atmosphere, service, and absolutely delicious food. It was one of the highlights of our stay. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, which had a great variety and was served by such lovely staff. Everyone we interacted with made us feel truly welcome. If I had to say one “negative,” it’s only that three days were not enough. We’re already dreaming about coming back for a longer stay. Highly recommended!

This hotel exceeded expectations in every way. The staff were genuinely kind and attentive, always making sure I felt comfortable and cared for. The views from the hotel are simply unforgettable—whether you're enjoying a quiet morning or winding down in the evening, it’s the kind of scenery that stays with you. The breakfast was another standout—delicious, varied, and clearly made with quality in mind. And the city itself? Hands down my favorite stop on the trip. The atmosphere, the charm, the energy—everything about it made me want to stay longer. I’ll definitely be coming back.

The hotel is quite new so looks stunn! We decided to rent a car so we could move around easily, the access to the hotel was easy and well located; plus they offer parking (extra cost) so was not a problem at all to find a place to park. The design of the hotel and the rooms were absolutly beautiful. We booked a top floor room with sea views and have to say each sunset was just breathtaking! The staff was extremly friendly and helpfull. I would defo go back next time I'm visiting the Amalfi Coast!

Everything was on point. Small tinny details... I would say: the pool was freezing, although it was mid-Septeber so we were not expecting high temperatures but perhaps a little warmer would have been great, mostly if it's a 5-star hotel. On our first night we decided to have dinner at the rooftop (which is stunning for drinks) but the food portions were tinny and the price quite expensive for what they were offering tbh.

The lobby bar was great as was the roof top bar. The breakfast was self service and offered everything you could want.

I would like more of an area to do my makeup (better lighting) and hair (better layout). The blow dryer cord is short & coiled so it is quite restrictive with outlet on left of sink and I’m right handed. If there was another mirror and outlet in the bedroom that would be nice. That way my husband can use the sink while I’m drying my hair in the bedroom or hallway, and also the steam from the shower would not fog up the mirror while I’m using it. There was a mirror in the hallway but no outlet nearby. We managed but not ideal.

Have had the pleasure at staying at some of the world's finest hotels and Ara Maris is on par with them. Ara Maris' ' staff is perfectly professional and attentive, it's amenities are luxurious and plentiful, and the decor is serene and calming. It is a modern hotel with sophisticated class. We will be back!

Location was excellent, breakfast and service fantastic. Room was as advertised and provision of slippers, flip flops and dressing gowns made use of the spa much more convenient. Gym well furnished for hotel.

Nothing I didn’t like, the drains smell was a little strong in the room. Balcony only had one chair although view was stunning and could just take one from inside. Mini bar hugely over priced. If it was more reasonable then people wouldn’t need to venture out to buy their own items.

In short, everything. The design of the hotel is a tasteful blend of modern and classic which gives a sense of peace and calm. The room was stunning. The accessible bathroom was also beautiful and elegant. A seat was missing from the shower but this was promptly rectified and I have since heard they bought seats for all accessible showers. Any issues which arose were met with quick and efficient solutions by the staff, as well as a smile and a little something to "apologise" for the inconvenience. We were given a bottle of prosecco and strawberries as we had just got married. All areas of the hotel were accessible to me and my husband who uses a manual wheelchair. There is no lift in the pool but we knew this and it is not an issue for us. The pool area is verdant, luxurious and absolutely beautiful. The spa was equally breathtaking and we both spent a a full hour enjoying the facilities in absolute privacy and silence. The spa treatments are steeply priced but also high quality. Breakfast is one of the best breakfasts I have had in Italy - heavy on the sweet as is our custom but many savoury options available. What can I say, it was just the perfect place to relax after the stress of organising our wedding and the wedding day. I am so glad we went here! Again the staff met our every need, and a special mention to Enrico who helped us figure out accessibility.

The accessible entrance was also the staff entrance - but I understand they had to work with the previously existing building. Small lip between room and balcony may prove difficult for electric chair users.

Overall an excellent facility with beautiful attention to detail. Staff is outstanding. First class facility. Dinner our first night was truly exceptional, one of the best we have had in our 2 weeks of traveling and fine dining in Italy. Second evening, dinner was a disappointment, as the head chef was not working and my food was inedible, and my partners mediocre. However I would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it for a first class stay and world class service.
