My husband Alex and I spent 6 nights at Rafaela’s Vista Mare B&B, and it truly felt like home from the moment we arrived. Rafaela is the most gracious host - welcoming, thoughtful, and attentive to every detail. Each morning started with a heavenly breakfast: local, sun-ripened tomatoes and basil, sweet peaches and melon, Italian classics like mortadella and prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and other cheeses, plus a new pastry every day fresh from a local bakery. The balcony views were simply stunning - breakfast as the sun rose, and evening wine while watching twinkling lights over the Gulf of Naples and Mt Vesuvius. Our room was spotless, the bed super comfortable with lush pillows (three each!), and the shower was amazing. Rafaela went above and beyond, packing fruit for our day trips and even sharing her homemade dinners (the zucchini pasta and eggplant parmigiana were delicious). The location is unbeatable - less than 100m from the Sorrento train station (but you’ll never hear the trains) and just steps from the main street. Insider tip: take the train to Sorrento, not the ferry, and avoid a long climb up hundreds of stairs! Giovanni, Rafaela’s son, and the two cats Cleo and Mia were the cherry on top. We couldn’t fault a single thing - this truly is the best accommodation we’ve stayed in. Affordable, immaculate, welcoming, and bursting with heart. Vista Mare deserves its perfect rating!

Raffaela is the most INCREDIBLE host!! She was so warm and sweet and caring, and took care of us from start to end. She even drove us to the port upon our departure because it was raining! The apartment itself is simply beautiful and the views from the terrace are stunning (the most beautiful sunsets we have ever seen). The room was also so comfortable and homey, and the location was very convenient and close to shops and restaurants. We had the most AMAZING B&B stay. We will definitely be coming back!!

Excellent host - Raffaela was warm, welcoming, and always helpful. The B&B had an extremely convenient location - just a couple of minutes to the main square and also a few minutes to the train station/bus stop. The room itself was spacious, allowing for two large suitcases to be completely opened. Facilities were clean and proper. An extra touch was the breakfast on the terrace in the morning - Raffaela bought fresh mozzarella from a local deli, made fresh cappuccinos and also offered to make fresh omelettes in addition to the continental spread. This is a 10 out of 10 stay and I would definitely come back.

Everything was perfect

We loved our stay at Vista Mare. Raffaella, Angela and Giovanni were excellent hosts. The breakfasts on the rooftop patio were amazing. Tons of food and variety. Raffaella made us cappuccinos and espressos to get us going for our day. She was very helpful with information about sites and restaurants. We returned to the rooftop for the most gorgeous sunsets where Rafaela offered us wine. The location is great. Very close to the town center, beaches and David's gellateria! I will definitely recommend this special place to anyone I knew visiting Sorrento and hope to return one day.

Nothing to complain about - it was all perect!

The location of Vista Mare B&B is ideal in every way - across the street from the main Sorrento train and bus station, half a block to Corso Italia which leads straight to Piazza Tasso and 10 minutes down the walk to Marina Piccolo and the public beach. Our 2 bedroom unit was spotless and fresh, everything was modern and updated, and the bedding was so comfortable. We loved the terrace, and the amazing views in the morning at breakfast, and in the evenings at sunset. Speaking of breakfast, Rafaella has thought of everything. There is an amazing rotation of pastries, sandwiches, eggs, fruit, coffee, and so on.. Rafaella, Giulio and Giovanni are all very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had early morning starts and Rafaella always made sure we had breakfast before we left to go on our outings. Thank you for the wonderful memories we took back home with us. We hope to see you again.

We chose to stay in Sorrento as a location to visit the Amalfi coast with day trips to Capri, Positano and Amalfi. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to stay at Vista Mare. Not sure a brief review will do it justice, but if you have the option to stay here you definitely should. Raffaela is the perfect host and makes you feel so welcome. She is so attentive, with the room in spotless condition and makes the best breakfast. Breakfast has loads of options and totally sets you up for a day of exploring. Raffaela was absolutely brilliant and the breakfasts were perfect. The location is close to commuter train station and only a 10 minute walk from the main high street of Sorrento and the harbour. It couldn’t be a better spot, easy to find and allowed us to explore more of Sorrento than we expected and definitely want to come back. Great town to stay in. The terrace/the view are honestly amazing. They couldn’t be better and no picture will quite do it justice, such a great spot. Breakfast on the terrace was a great start to every morning, nice private terrace off the room for a drink in the evening too. We ended up on the main terrace for a couple of nights for the sunset and to relax and I wish we had that view every day. Special mention for Cleopatra and Mia who frequent the terrace in the mornings and evenings, who are lovely cats and just add another special layer to this property. Thank you Raffaela for a wonderful stay! If you have the chance to stay here we would 100% recommend it. We will definitely be back in the future.

There are not enough good things to say about Rafaella and Vista Mare. The property is relatively new, beautifully maintained, extraordinarily clean and wonderfully decorated. Plenty of space for everyone and everything. Extra towels, closet space, shoe racks, storage space, mini fridge and a private balcony. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment and had all the space we needed for an adult family of 4. Rafaella is the most genuine and friendly host I’ve ever met. She opened her home to us as if we were family. Every day Rafaella lays out the most delicious breakfast and makes one of the best cappuccinos we had in all of Italy. Then there’s the terrace. You cannot compete with the view. Every morning breakfast on the terrace was a special and relaxing time. The evenings brought beautiful sunsets. The entire stay at Villa Mare could not be any more relaxing. Just a few steps out the door and you are in the heart of Sorrento. Nothing takes longer than 15 minutes to walk. I have already recommended the property to my friends traveling this summer. There is just no question we will be back. You cannot beat Vista Mare for comfort, value, location - and, of course, Rafaella.

Everything was perfect. The location (less than 5 min walk from train station, 10 mins from ferries), the facilities (So clean! So nice and modern! So quiet! The balcony and cats!!), the breakfast! Raffaela and family made us feel warmly welcomed and at home. They accommodated our request to drop off our luggage and were flexible with check in/check out times. They even lent us an umbrella and beach towels. 100% will be coming back!

This was a very nice, comfortable, and clean B&B. It was well appointed and appears to be recently remodeled. Raffaella seemed to have anticipated what her guests will need for comfort and convenience. The location was very close to numerous shops and restaurants. Raffaella's breakfasts are wonderful and she was very accommodating of our morning schedule. Her two cats were very friendly when we were relaxing at the terrace and enjoying the great views. Raffaella was very friendly, helpful and had suggestions for booking trips and the local area. We had a great stay at Vista Mare!

EVERYTHING!! The property was beautiful, clean and well decorated. Rafaella was the most accommodating host, and her cats Mia and Cleopatra were the divas of Sorrento. She had breakfast waiting for us every morning on the gorgeous terrace. Sometimes we came back to our rooms just so we could enjoy the outdoor space.

We hated that we couldn’t extend our stay another day because she was already booked!
