Everything! Where do I start. When in Agrigento this is the place you must stay in!! This is a spectacular place-family run Villa. We had the best dinner, breakfast and, stroll in the garden. They grow their own olive oil! Delicious. The room was clean, perfect for 2 couples. It’s only 15 min walk to the Valley of Temples. You can relax in the jacuzzi and see the temples from the jacuzzi. They have the most amazing chef “Salvatore.” Luigi welcomed us and was very hospitable. their dog Willy was the center of attention. I wish I had more space to write more about this Villa. It is the best in Agrigento!!!

Everything was perfect!!!

A beautiful setting for this amazing room. The room was very large and beautifully restored. Incredible views and we saw the moon rising whilst the sun was setting. The overall property is very nicely done and walks in the grounds through orchards and 100 year old olive oil trees. Nice and close to some great restaurants. Breakfast was great and the staff very friendly.

Unfortunately the weather was horrible we couldn’t enjoy the facilities but the room we got was perfect, the staff was friendly and explained us how to get to a very good restaurant near by for dinner. The bed and bathroom were comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was complete and delicious. We highly recommend to stay here if you are visiting the valley of temples and the scala dei turqui.

Our apartment was absolutely stunning. It was huge! It was beautifully designed and furnished. Everything felt very luxurious. We had a terrace with an amazing view of the temples and the sea. It was incredibly peaceful. Breakfast was delicious and many of the items were homemade. It was a very memorable experience. I can thoroughly recommend staying here. Private parking was right next to the property.

A written list of instructions for the property and directions to the temples would be really useful. There are several exits and I think we used the wrong one, making our walk to the temples further than it needed to be!

The location to the Valley of the Temples is exceptional. You can see them from the property! You can walk through the gardens to a few restaurants that are nearby. The gardens themselves are very pretty and nice to walk through. The private parking is greatly appreciated, and they give you a gate fob to be able to come and go as you please. Air conditioned rooms. Great breakfast! Multiple options and good quality.

From the main road, the road to get to the property is a bit small to enter. Coming back out onto the main road is a bit dangerous. Not the property's fault though. The wall glass in shower is a bit see through, but not completely. The jacuzzis were not operational, but we went during a hot day in June. But we did bring our swimming gear.

Our experience at Villa la Lumia was absolutely wonderful, largely thanks to the friendly hosts who made us feel instantly welcome. There was a genuine familiar atmosphere throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. Dining on the terrace was a highlight, offering great food with a stunning view overlooking the wonderful citrus farm. And the bar served up some fantastic drinks, with the limoncello spritz being a personal favorite – truly delicious! Of course, no review of Villa la Lumia would be complete without mentioning William, the charming family dog, who you could not help but fall in love with. Room was great too!

This is a charming if rustic B and B set in an old olive and lemon farm on the outskirts of Agrigento. There are so many very ancient olive trees! Impressive! One of the trees is over 1,000 years old. The views of the Greek temples from the hotel are special, especially to sit at breakfast and contemplate the Temple of Juno just 1.5 km away. Breakfast is served al freso on a rustic terrace shaded by an ancient olive tree. A cat and her litter of kittens provided entertainment. Francesca cooked our eggs to perfection and there were plenty of buttery croissants. The capuchinos were excellent! Our room was comfortable although the setup was a bit unusual, as though they managed to build an extra room in a space leftover near the kitchen and reception. Do not expect anything luxurious or manicured. You will be staying in a charming Italian farm with simple, pleasant people taking care of you. I highly recommend La Lumia to anyone visiting Agrigento and the temples. The bathroom was large and there were large dispensers of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The towels are large and fluffy.

This hotel is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There is a steep driveway to walk up from the parking area. There are steps up to the rooms. There are uneven stone steps up to the breakfast terrace.

Your best place to stay for your visit to Agrigento! The location is great, next to the restaurants, 15mins walk to the Valley of the temples, and you have the view of all the temples over arcs of citrus trees and olive trees! It’s not simply or a normal Airbnb type of place but a farm with a garden with olive trees that are over thousand years, a restaurant romantically set up under the olive trees on the terrace next to the garden with tasty food from farm to table. Luigi and his family are super nice and helpful and he kindly gave us an upgrade which made our stay even better! The villa we stayed in was spacious, tastefully designed with antique furniture but modern equipments. I couldn’t ask for a better experience! The only pity was that I only stayed for a night!

I highly highly highly recommend staying here. I cannot stress this enough. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and have a view of the Valley of the Temples, which you can easily walk to from the B&B. The rooms are spacious, the grounds are incredibly beautiful with lemon, orange, and pomelo trees as well as centuries-old olive trees that were amazing to behold. The breakfast was really delicious and all of the staff were super kind. Plus, they have hot tubs! There is nothing I would change about my stay except that I really wish I could've stayed for longer. I would highly recommend staying here.

The large yellow dog that roams the property and is likely a friendly dumb harmless dog nonetheless jumps and as I was exploring the gardens in the early morning to enjoy the light in the trees and take some photos, the dog came running directly after me (to play? Who knows) but wouldn’t leave me alone and was jumping all over me, muddy paws all over my shorts and scratches on my legs- didn’t appreciate that and it unfortunately ruined my experience in the garden
