A cozy room right in the heart of Amalfi, with a lovely view over the square and the church steps. Despite the central location, the room and windows had excellent soundproofing — we didn’t hear any noise from outside, which was a big plus. It’s just a 5-minute walk from the port to the hotel. We were greeted by a very charming and friendly woman. The room itself was small, but it had everything we needed. What truly stood out was the breakfast experience. We weren’t sure we’d have time to eat because we had to leave early, but the woman at reception, along with the kitchen staff, made such an effort to ensure we had something before heading out. They quickly brought us coffee and croissants so we could enjoy a light breakfast. It was incredibly kind and thoughtful ❤️☺️

So cool to be right In the square but beware of the restaurants below (not affiliated but tourist traps). The rooms are small but if you don’t have a lot of stuff this could be perfect for you! The view is beautiful and AC is AMAZING, we got cold and that is saying something with us being hot sleepers. The breakfast was also fantastic and I had the best croissant of my life. If you don’t need a lot of space this is for you!!! So so convenient for a 5 min walk to ferry, bus stop, and shuttle area and very few stairs up into the lobby, just one floor of stairs.

For staying multiple days I personally need more space with my luggage. It was great for a single night.

The location cannot be better. Right in front of the famous cathedral, with a view over the main square. The Ristorante San Andrea, facing the hotel, serves fabulous food and gives you a discount for staying at the Hotel San Andrea.

A bit pricy, but considering that Amalfi is much sought after, and given the incredible location, this is to be expected.

Everything was wonderful! We were a family group of five, and occupied one room with a single and double bed (Room number 5), and a double-bed room (Room number 4). This is a family-owned enterprise, run by them for several generations, with lots of love and attention. We had a wonderful, wonderful, relaxing stay (November 2023). The rooms and beds were very comfortable, each with cheerful decor, a small fridge, good bathroom, and spotlessly clean. The location in the main piazza, opposite the Duomo, is exceptional. It’s a very short, flat walk from the port and taxi and bus parking area (maybe two minutes), with only a single flight of stairs to enter the hotel, which is on the first floor. I could lie in my bed and look out onto the facade of Duomo (Room 5)! (Room 4 also had an excellent view). Despite its central location in the piazza, I didn’t find it noisy, although we weren’t there in peak season. The breakfast was wonderful, and extremely generous. We were served individually at table - croissants, bread rolls, jams, prosciutto, cheeses, delicious cakes, yoghurts, a range of fruits, coffees, and fruit juices. The breakfast lady was lovely- I think she was trying to fatten us up, she kept offering more! The staff, Maria the owner, and the other lady, were truly wonderful, friendly and helpful. On checkout day, we had problems with the next and final leg of our trip - the ferry to Capri was suddenly cancelled on our day of departure from Amalfi. Maria contacted the ferry line for us, to confirm, was luckily, was able to offer us accommodation if we needed to stay longer; when we had decided our next move, she booked a taxi van for us to return to Naples. We were happy with everything!

Comfortable small hotel with ideal location right in the main square of Amalfi; I chose the room facing the Duomo so I had great viewing of the square and all the people-watching, including two weddings on the cathedral steps! The windows were well insulated so the noise wasn't a problem. Comfortable bed, good wifi, mini-fridge in the room, and a little desk made it a great base for work and play for a few days.

Perfect location, just a couple of minutes from the buses & ferries (pretty flat just a few stairs into the hotel). Room was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful (helped carry our big cases up the steps, walked to the port with us when we couldn’t find where to get bus tickets). Breakfast was plentiful and very good (ham, cheese, bread, croissants, cake, yogurt, fruit, coffee).

Would love to have had coffee making facilities in the room.

Excellent location, right on the main square, with magnificent view of the cathedral, on the first floor (not many stairs), family business (we loved nonna the most!). We had beautiful room, in white and blue, comfortable and stylished. Expensive, but it was worth it. Good breakfast.

There is no thing we did not like. Highly recommended.

Amazing location! Couldn’t be closer to the main square! The entrance was around the corner, but easy to find, the ladies at the reception were always really friendly and helpful. Our hotel room was prettier than I had anticipated and was cleaned every day while we were away. Although I wouldn’t pay this much for a similar hotel in any other place, considering it is in Amalfi, located in the very center of the city, the price was really really good for what we got! I would definitely visit again!

The breakfast was really tasty and more than enough, though you get the same thing every day. (Ham, cheese, a selection of bread, croissant and cake, fruit, coffee, juices)

Fab location, very friendly staff. Our room was the front with views of Duomo and piazza. it was quite noisy during the day and evening but quieter when restaurants closed at night. good windows so we were happy enough. ideal location for ferry and bus. surrounded by lovely restaurants and cafes. walking distance to beach. breakfast was good but quite sweet, lovely coffee. we had a late train our check out day and were allowed to use the luggage check until we were leaving which was much appreciated.

Entrance was a little difficult to find

Great location, right on the main cathedral square in Amalfi. Clear view from window onto cathedral ( see pic) great for festival days, in the centre of action. only a few mins walk from the ferry. Breakfast was good , nice people.
