This property had the potential to be stunning. The room was beautiful and luxurious. The bed was very comfortable and the jacuzzi bath large, large, large. The convenience to Anacapri and transportation was great. We received a complementary ride from Marina Grande which otherwise would have been $90 euro. Very nice.

Although this was considered ‘off season’ there was no excuse to not have the grounds cut, pruned and groomed for the guest they were open to serve. It was completely grown over and the open area was not furnished for sitting out. Yes it is windy, but not the entire time. There was unfinished open flooring work on the front terrace that was dangerous. When you go on a dream trip to Capri and what at one time would have been the top of luxury you expect at least the lawn to be a dream. There were a few other petty issues but the personnel were nice. The gentleman especially was our favorite.

there was a ceiling light missing in our room and the sofa bed was rickety and extremely uncomfortable which at 400 Euros a night one would definitely not expect this. The pool area is rundown and there is dusty and very noisy work going on. In the corridors there are various boxes and materials scattered - some directly in front of our room door. It is quite tricky to find people - when you want to order drinks for example. Very long wait before anyone shows up.

This place is well worth the booking, especially if you can stay 2 or more nights. We booked a room with a private balcony (you can see your neighbours but the view is worth it). Easy walk to the local piazza and buses are the most economical way to travel around the island. Staff are very friendly and patiently explained all our questions. Once the day trip folks are gone for the day it is very calm ans serene here in Anacapri. Despite the narrow roads we had no issue with walking. Monte Solero was well worth the price, you can walk up for free but we took the chairlift.

The bed was very uncomfortable, both of us tossed and turned the first night. Small price to pay for the amazing views, stately hotel and fantastic local food.

Great location in Anacapri. 10min bus ride to Capri Town. We had a great family room with stunning views.. Big swimming pool is great with a nice pool side restaurant. Good breakfast and we also enjoyed the hotel bar with live music in the evening

Some of the facilities are a bit tired

We absolutely loved the property! It's quite expansive and the lobby offered iced lemon water which was nice after a long, hot day of traveling. The pool was large and there were quite a bit of sunchairs available. The breakfast had so many options and the view from the breakfast room was overlooking the harbor beneath and was so beautiful. I personally had great interaction with the staff, especially the owner, who offered to drive us himself down to the harbor so we could catch our ferry instead of waiting for the bus.

Our room itself did not seem to match the beauty of the property. It was quite small and plain. Also, be aware that you need to pay 6-8 euro to use the sunchairs---I was surprised that we had to pay for them since we already paid so much for the room. Be aware: it will cost you 30 euro to take a taxi up to the hotel from the harbor. The cheaper option is the bus; for 5 euro it will take you up to the hotel, or around there.

The hotel didn’t tell us they done a shuttle from the ferry so we got paid for a taxi when we didn’t have to. I messaged them two days before we got there to ask about a shuttle and got no response

The first impression in the reception area was good. & we were welcomed warmly…until we went to our room. The passages have bright coloured modern/abstract art canvas prints against both walls! I love this kind of art but it must suit the environment. It looks totally out of place and disturbing. They should stay with the stately decor as seen in the reception area. Rooms are also bland with white walls and white drapes. A lovely large antique canvas/print/ photograph would have looked so much better. Might be time for them to get an interior decorator to assist them in establishing the charm it deserves. Shower had nowhere to place shampoo/ body wash. It is quite small and difficult to bend down to pick up a product one wanted to use.

This picturesque and historic hotel is on the Anacapri side, more down-to-earth than the pricey town of Capri (which is only a short bus ride away). The pool is great, the view from the front lawn breathtaking, the rooms spacious, the breakfast has much more varied offerings than most Italian breakfasts. The Villa San Michele, made famous by the book The Story of San Michele, 1929, by Axel Munthe - read it to get a sense of the history of the area) is now a museum and right up the hill. The hotel dining room did not serve dinner, but there are many restaurants up the road in Anacapri in easy walking distance. There was a free shuttle bus down to the marina area where the ferries depart and arrive.

2 night stay with husband and 2 teens. Located close to the cliff side and from the seating area at front of property stunning views down to Capri port area. Lovely pool area with lots of sun beds. The guy working around poolside was great and worked hard bringing drinks and food. Location is great - about 5 minutes walk from centre of anacapri (make sure you find the cut through to the centre of anacapri - turn left coming out of hotel entrance and when come to end of pavement there is an entry follow this to top and then take a right to centre of anacapri) . We got a bus from bus station in centre of anacapri to the blue grotto for a few euros (buy tickets at the bus station). Went on the chair lift later in the day when all the day trippers gone and didn’t have to queue. Breakfast is good, and again stunning views from restaurant. If looking for something to do in the evenings(the hotel club was being used for an event) try the Jumeriah Capri palace roof top bar in anacapri centre - this does stunning cocktails (cheaper than the awful cocktails in surrounding restaurants) and staff very attentive and welcoming. Got open air taxi down to Capri on one night. The hotel does a minibus pick up and drop off to the port - but make sure you book this with hotel.

The hotel was in a fantastic location, the view from the window was breathtaking. We were kindly received. the room is spacious, very clean. The whole hotel has a pleasant lemon scent. Our family enjoyed spending time by the pool. There was an opportunity to have a meal accompanied by friendly staff, drink delicious cocktails and sunbathe.

Breakfast had a wide selection, the view from the window was stunning, but the already noticeable wear and tear of the dining room itself and the unpolished tableware did not go along with this beauty that the hotel offers. I wish they manage to freshen up the dining room and make the breakfast experience more refined, as it would suit this shabby hotel very well. May you succeed! :)
