This is the place to stay at, if you are visiting the northern Sicilian coast around Palermo and you want to stay away from the crowded streets of the big city. We stayed here in July and it was an amazing experience. The host was very friendly, accommodating to our every need and gave us quite a few inside tips on what to do/what to see along the coast line. The apartment was clean, comfortable and only a 3-5 minute walk away from the beach and the town centre. The breakfast is also amazing, with different Sicilian pastries available every day. Want to rent a car or do a catamaran tour? The host has got you covered. We had a great time and would for sure visit again! 10/10 would recommend!

The property is in a great location and very clean. The facilities are good. More importantly, the owner Baigo, is the best! He helped us with everything - where to eat, what restaurants were good. And everybody knew him. He speaks perfect English.

We had a fantastic stay at B&B La Balestra. Biagio, the owner, is incredibly kind, helpful, and always smiling. We had planned to reach Balestrate by train, but on the day we arrived in Sicily, there was a railway strike we didn’t know about and we got stuck for hours at the airport. I called Biagio, and to our surprise, he showed up with a smile and picked us up in less than 40 minutes! We’re so grateful for his help and warm welcome. Every morning he served us delicious breakfasts with fresh croissants, great coffee, and savory options too—not just sweets ;) The view from the dining room over the sea and town is unforgettable. We traveled with our 1-year-old and Biagio kindly let us use the kitchen to prepare food and heat milk in the frother—such a thoughtful touch. There's also a filtered water tap in the kitchen, which we really appreciated. Our room was spotlessly clean, with a spacious bathroom, child-safe balcony, comfortable bed and a fridge. The location is great—just a 10-minute walk to the train station. We felt very comfortable and welcome, and we’ll definitely recommend this place to friends. Thank you, Biagio!

Warm welcome from the host. Tastefully furnished room. Super comfortable bed. I slept like a little baby. Quiet neighbourhood. Breakfast offers everything your heart desires and even a little more....this view of the sea. A good start to the day. Short walk to the centre. Thanks for all the interesting information. The B&B is only a 10 or 20 minute walk to two of Balestrates beaches and has plenty of restaurants nearby. The rooms are airy and have good air-con and WiFi. Breakfast in the room upstairs overlooking the ocean was lovely. The owner was very accommodating - checked us in at midnight and took us to the airport. A great place to base yourself.

The road outside the hotel is very busy and noisy. It didn't keep us up too much though as the hotel as good glazing and shutters.

Great stay, very comfortable and super relaxed and accommodating when my plane was 2 hours late, meaning I didn’t arrive until after midnight!

the best feature was the kindness - courteous attitude of the host. He was present continually to help or advise in in whatever need. The room was always kept clean and the bed most comfortable ….I felt as if I was staying with my relatives.

The street outside was a bit noisy quite early in the morning ( I enjoy sleeping in at times)
