First, Antonio, the owner and host was amazing. So helpful sharing information about the old city. The steps to get up to the room are very steep and he was there for both check-in/check out to carry our luggage. They were very thoughtful in the items they choose to create a comfortable ambiance from the bedding to there ceramics used for food and drink. The location is easy to find as it is right across from the castle and on the edge of old city; the famous pasta ladies are actually right out the door. Our breakfast could be wheeled in to the room so we could enjoy while getting some work done, etc. Hope to come back soon.

There was nothing. Just be aware the steps to get to apartment are steep if you have any issue with ability to walk up and down but we didn't have to carry our belonging which made it very manageable.

I stayed at B&B Murex in Bari Vecchia, and it was an incredible experience! The accommodation is absolutely beautiful, and I couldn’t find a single fault. Due to my early flight, Antonio kindly let me check in much earlier than expected. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything you need. One of my favorite parts was the 24/7 access to the stunning rooftop terrace, where breakfast is served. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with all ingredients being local and fresh. They were also happy to accommodate any special requests for breakfast, which was a lovely touch. Besides coffee and water, there was access to other beverages throughout the day, making it feel even more welcoming. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the old town, just steps away from Strada delle Orecchiette, where the local women prepare fresh Orecchiette every day. I also really appreciated that sustainability and recycling are priorities at B&B Murex, which made the stay feel even better. Antonio was incredibly helpful and friendly, offering great tips and taking the time to ensure every guest had a great stay. It was a flawless experience, and I highly recommend B&B Murex to anyone visiting Bari!

Amazing place in the heart of Bari old town ( Bari vecchia). The b & b is located in the city center of Bari. Well connected to the main attractions of Bari, churchs , in front of the Castel, not far from the train station, bus stops and well connected with the Bari airport. The bulding itself is old, but inside it has been recently completely rennovated. The bedroom has all the confort : tv , securty locker, air conditionar, brand new toilette with all products and all the forniture are new. Even if you are in the city center, there are no noises coming from outiside. The breakfast is served on an amazing terrace on the rooftoop. The product used are fresh. I really appreciated the courtesy of Alice and Antonio. The attention payed to each customer , the care on recycling waste and to avoid wasting food. For that reason they ask to you to reserve every day what to you want to eat for breakfast the day after. Maybe the only consern that i can report , is that there is a huge stair for having access to the reception and rooms and to the terracw. So maybe not easy for children or if you have any limitation. But i was aware of if when i reserved the room. The owner helped me when I arrived and when I left with my luggage. Thank you Antonio and Alice!

From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome and were very well looked after at B&B Murex. Antonio was the perfect host and went out of his way to ensure we had a good stay. The room was comfortable and cosy with a sweet little balcony and a stylish bathroom. We loved the roof terrace and the complementary drinks including an amply stocked mini bar. We liked the ability to choose our breakfast options and these were well presented, both on a trolley in our room when the weather wasn't great and on the roof terrace when it improved. The location couldn't be bettered, right next to the ladies making the orecchiette pasta, with the castle opposite and the cathedral less than 5 mins' walk away. It was an easy 10-minute ride by taxi to and from the railway station too. Would recommend as a great, central place to stay in Bari old town.

Hard to ignore the stairs! There was a steep stretch from the entrance to the communal foyer and another shorter, steep stretch up to the roof terrace. We got used to them, but couldn't have managed with our luggage. Antonio stepped in and helped with this. All added to the character of the place though :-)

We stayed here one night and were pleasantly surprised at the courtesy and accommodations of the host. He was so helpful, first in getting us situated (and carrying luggage up the narrow, steep steps) and then as we were leaving early in the morning, he asked what we would like for breakfast and met us early to give us a box of lovely pastries and juice to set us on our way. While the stairs are steep, once you arrive upstairs you have a lovely room for dining with other guests and our bedroom was lovely and equipped with everything we needed. It was in a perfect location to enjoy the sites of Bari and the ladies were right outside our door making orichetti. Lovely spot and gracious host!

Everything was wonderful, the room is cosy and comfortable. One of the best showers I had while travelling Europe. Antonino was a lovely host who gave so much great info about the city and recommendations and helped carry my luggage up the stairs. It’s in great location on the same street as the pasta ladles. Terrace is great for breakfast and just for sitting before going out for the evening. Honestly, worth the great reviews, if it’s available book it. I had a single room and it was great so I can imagine the bigger ones are better.

The stairs are steep but that’s really it. The WIFI was a bit patchy but honestly they were minor minor gripes.

The location is perfect, it's in the old town in one of the lovely streets but easy to find. Our room was clean and comfortable. The shower is amazing and they offer all sorts of toiletries if you've forgotten something. Our host was friendly and helpful, he suggested bars, restaurants and attractions to visit. His map was really useful! There was nothing to dislike however the stairs are really steep so it's not suitable if you struggle with mobility. I'd thoroughly recommend this place to a friend.

The property was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Facilities were top notch. Breakfast on the terrace was excellent. All services provided within the accommodation were outstanding.Antonio was not only helpful with carrying our luggage upstairs and bringing them down on our last day but also informative with the sightseeing and restaurant suggestions. I would highly recommend this place to anyone don’t let the steep stairs put you off. The facilities are very very good.

I accidentally broke a pot and told them about it. I felt this was rather unpleasantly dealt with and a 50 euro charge was made. The way it was handled was a little aggressive. I agree to pay and he kept going on about it. Also - I get that they are running a small business but so do I, it was a decorative item in the corner of the terrace that served no other purpose and as a business owner myself I would not have charged my client in the same circumstances.

Don't be afraid of the steep stairs, once you reach the top your welcome to Bari will a most warm one. The space is cleverly set up. The location is great for being right in the middle of the old town, with fresh pasta you can buy the moment you step out the door. I loved the open lounge with drinks and snacks. The breakfast is set up nicely through an online form that ensure there is no waste. The rooms are very clean, and even the single room felt quite spacious. The host is incredibly welcoming and takes the time to describe everything about the hotel, and also gives you a great itinerary, food and cultural recommendations, for what to see in Bari.

I wish i stayed longer!
