The breakfast was lovely, with a great selection. The option to choose what you have was great and the fact they offered so many GF options was amazing! The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you, they even allowed us to have our breakfast in the apartment. We were also able to leave our luggage before we travelled, which was handy with having that later flight. Location was fabulous, right near the mini square with a few shops and restaurants. We visited a local restaurant called Arte e Vino, based on a local recommendation and it was amazing. The setting, the food, the wine, its a must! We had an apartment, very spacious and had everything you would need, with the added bonus of a (roof) terrace, with stunning views over the lake. I’d like us, you’re looking for that authentic experience, in the small quaint streets, with a good and welcoming service, then this is the place for you!

Our room was spotless, very tidy and clean! The hosts were truly amazing, so friendly, accommodating, very wonderful staff, delicious (and bountiful) breakfasts, clean, tidy, a/c (yay!) Highly recommend! Location to many attractions, restaurants (Bucci!), Barberini Gardens, Pope Summer Home. Our taxi cancelled and the owners drove us to the train station! Excellent five stars!

No reflection on the hotel whatsoever! If you are using the train, there is a long walk down hill and steps, careful if rained upon (not too bad) but, after a day of sightseeing, you may be challenged walking back up the hill, especially if you are older or have physical limitations.

In the comments was written it is super old. Well it is old, but I would still say in a good way old. Nothing uncomfortable or bad, not a big but still cozy and comfy room. For summer, they have very nicely working air conditioning. Breakfast was also very good for Italy. You can order from many things and the things are very tasty. Staff is amazing. Views are amazing Location is amazing And very clean For Italian hotels standard, it was a nice hotel! So it was very good stay!

The view of the lake is EXCEPTIONAL. But, the highlight for me was the employees who were beyond accommodating and kind. I am traveling with my 11 year old son, so the fact that the employees involved him in breakfast decisions and how he was doing every day was really nice. And, let's be real, the fake nice were not displayed by the employees here - every single person was kind and thoughtful because that's who they genuinely are as a person.

The walls are a bit thin - but what do you expect from a historical town around Rome??? When it was a bit loud in the evening, I went to the front desk and they handled it quickly and appropriately without any drama. So, not really a negative ?

This hotel has the best location in the village with only a few steps to several small cute shops and nice restaurants surrounding it, If you get the lake view rooms you will believe you're in a fairytale because of how lovely the view is from the balconies where you can enjoy a good drink and just relax The staff were so informative before we arrived about parking spots and we even had the opportunity to meet their manager who made our last night in Italy even better than we imagined it'd be with a lovely restaurant booking in the back corner of the hotel We were so surprised by the lovely touch in our room after check in as well with the heart shaped towels and prosecco on the house Definitely coming back to this hotel again

Me and my fiancee could not find anything negative, we were so pleased with everything we only wished we had more time to stay

Room we paid for was not a lake view however we were on a side street which still had a window that overlooked the lake and just next-door was a small communal terrace with table and chairs again overlooking the lake. Breakfast is ordered the night before as they cook fresh pastries each morning. They also do hot food however don't expect a full english which is very rare in Italy anyways. The pear (pera) juice is really nice. The hotel is like a small boutique hotel and has a small breakfast room. There is also an attached restaurant which wasn't really open when we were staying due to the season being nearly over. Also it was windy the couple of days we stayed so the roof terrace was not open which was a little shame. You are right on the door step of the charming village of Castel Gandolfo and can stroll the streets around the hotel until late before retiring to bed. The palace gardens were wonderful. The lake itself is breathtaking however as mentioned quite windy down by the lake in mid October. All in all a lovely stay and the team at the hotel were really accommodating and helpful. The maintenance guy was a star and saved our bacon when there ended up being a transport strike on our last day! Grazie Mille

Very little wrong with the place to be honest. Slight smell from the bathroom but thats probably down to the ancient sewerage system in Castel Gandolfo. The whole village is very old with lots of history and charm. The other downfall is to get the lovely view from Castel Gandolfo then if you arrive by train then you have a short but steep trek up to the village. As soon as you reach the top and turn round you get the most amazing view that takes your breath away and you forget all about the brief challenging walk. If you call the reception in advance the will organise a taxi for you from the station at a reasonable price. Alternatively you can go to Albano Laziale station to the gates of Castel Gandolfo station by a small bus. However the timetable is quite infrequent.

Stunning views from balcony. Excellent location right in the center of town. Staff very helpful and polite.

Room a little small and bathrooms need a bit of maintenance. Need a kettle in the room. No hotel parking but you can drop cases infront then go and find parking. No problem for us but in high season could be difficult.

Great location 🙌❤️even though we had a car, we didn’t use it daily you have so many options, restaurants, cafes, lake, shopping, relax in their plaza ! Amazing, warm, friendly, unforgettable place ❤️ we traveled from San Diego, California and loved every second !!! PS FANTASTIC breakfast 👏👏👏 you order the night b/4, many options ! Great coffee ❤️ very clean room and phenomenal view !

The only thing they could improve on is the shower 🤔😲😔 but we made it work 👍

Amazing place with an incredible view over the lake! The staff are very helpful and will go out of their way to assist you. The gentleman at the reception even walked me to a local restaurant to recommend different dishes and explained what wine to pair them with. The breakfast is delicious, I had croissant stuffed with berries and a fruit yoghurt.

This is a charming little hotel with a fantastic location in the heart of the city center. We had a room with a beautiful view of Lake Albano and a small terrace.

The hotel retains a charming, historic atmosphere but would benefit from some updates, especially to the bathroom and terrace. A self-service breakfast, where guests can choose what they want, would further improve the experience.
