The location is perfect, just 5 min from Duomo square and other sightseeing points. The have their own small parking, very convenient. The hotel itself is very interesting. The room was very spacious and beds were comfortable. We liked the breakfast on the roof overseeing the port and Catania. Staff was helpfull and very nice to us. All in all it was worth staying in this hotel. It was a nice addition to our experience in Catania.

The only thing why I would not give 10 points is the noise. We heard disco music coming from the nearby street both nights we stayed. Though we handled this successfully with the earplugs :) Also note, that there are quite some steps to make to get up to the hotel and there is no elevator. But for us it was not a problem.

+ The rooms were spacious and really clean; + The breakfast was amazing, with a view over the city and some home made cakes! Fruit and hot sandwiches; + The location is pretty close to the center and also close to the Alibus stops from and to the airport; + There are outer lids on the windows and blackout curtains so you can sleep in complete darkness and isolated from the street noise as much as possible + The receptionists were really kind and helpful, one of them even helped me park the car in the small inner yard.

- One of the receptionists was not talking well in English and we had to use Google translate; - The ceiling of the rooms is very high which was a bit of a problem for heating the room (in the early spring when inside there was more cold then the outside). - The warm water is coming a bit slowly, but at the end is really well; - As the hotel is on the main street there is a noise from 6 am till 2 am, but with the outer window lids shut - all is OK

LOVED the staff, the price, the breakfast and where it was served, the balcony and view, the location and the common areas/lobbies. It also felt very safe. The room was an odd but charming mixture of very basic and minimalist feel and interesting/unique accents like headboards, light fixtures, etc. The bathroom had everything you need.

We got the room with the queen size bed and a single bed. The queen was a very comfortable foam mattress but the single bed was pretty hard and uncomfortable. If we booked again, we would just get our own rooms because the hotel is so inexpensive to begin with. We couldn't figure out how to find the wi-fi name. The hotel networks our phones were showing never matched up with what was posted in the room though I'm sure the staff would have helped us if we asked.

Excellent location, very close to the main attractions and churches within walking distance. The room was spacious and clean with a very good air conditioner for a family of 4 with kids. The shower was good . The owner was super helpful and friendly, he allowed us to keep our luggage after checking out. Oscar does care about making sure that his guests are welcomed . Great breakfast on the rooftop. Best of all we did not worry about parking in the street, for 10 euro it was parked in the hotel. I definitely recommend this place.

The room we got was really spacious, very clean with good AC and small french balcony. Everything was just as it supposed to be. It is an old style hotel in an old building - but! it's not worn or underequipped! On the other side - it's comfortable and really nice! Breakfast - on the roof top - excellent experience! Staff was also really nice - helpful and smiling. We loved our stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone. There are stairs - hotel is on a second floor but it's nothing for a normal person, we were with 3 kids and luggage and managed ;)

Staff , especially a ladies preparing breakfast are is so kind , helpful ! Breakfast , typically Italian. Plenty of food and fruits. I love this hotel and miss this place. Huge rooms with terrace and awesome view on streets from small balcony. CLEAN , no remarks. Fast internet.

I have no remarks to the facility and stuff. This is just information for these people which considering to visit this hotel. As everyone knows South Italy is a bit different from super restored clean north Italian cities. Catania on first sight may not look super. Buildings here are a bit rusty. Hotel entrance is in back street through big gateway with intercom. Hotel has rooms on top floors plus access to roof platform. All in typical Catania style. Do not expect sterile SPA resort.

My family needed simple clean lodging and this hotel Biscari worked out perfect. Staffs are friendly and location is outstanding. Train station in 15mins walk and bus stop is right across hotel. Big bus terminal is 7mins away. Easy to get around in Sicily.

Really secured for 24hrs but at night you have to buzz to open entrance door.

Our family room (room 4) was massive and super comfortable with great AC. Excellent breakfast on the rooftop terrace. Every staff member we met was helpful and friendly. Close to the centre. We had a wonderful stay in Catania, thank you to all.

Nothing. It is an old building with a few old building quirks but these did not in any way detract from our stay. Note that reception and the rest of the hotel are up a couple of flights of stairs.

They made everything to prepare nice hotel rooms in an old charmfull building, but the effect is not 100% ok ( beacuse of age of building, I think) - bathrooms and sewerage system. But....it is really very small negative remark. If we are in Catania back, we will take this hotel again :-)
