We stayed here for a night on a bike trip in the area and we couldn’t be happier. Yes, as many say, the rooms are “basic” but for 80€ a night for two, this is excellent value for money! The room is clean and comfortable, and we had great rest. I also recommend to take breakfast, there was a great variety of choices. Safe storage room for bikes was also great. Mostly, we appreciated the kind and super helpful receptionist. We felt very welcomed. We hope to be back and will recommend this place to stay in the area for all our friends.

A traditional hotel close to the old town with phantastic views across the valley to sky-high mountains. Very friendly staff, several excellent local restaurants ('grotti') down the street. Reliable daily room-service keeps the place perfectly clean. The Crimea's own eatery, Il Locale, is the top place to eat in Chiavenna in my view.

Same as above. Traditional also means that the place is a little run-down and could do with a makeover. The attractive restaurants are full of guests until deep into the night, and the Italian way of celebrating with friends makes sure you won't find much quiet before midnight. The single room I had was basically furnished. One little thing that might improve comfort would be to add a soap-dish to the shower. But this is my personal grudge with almost all hotels: what are you supposed to do with the soap when you're not whipping up foam?

Very convenient location, just a few minutes walking from the train station. My room's balcony had a great view to the park in front of the hotel. The price is reasonable. The staff was very acomodating when I informed them I'd check-in late.

The hotel's bar works late into the night, and noise can be heard, so light sleepers might have trouble resting. It's not the worst, but noticeable. Sound insulation in general could be better.

Unfortunately the air conditioning system in the room was working all the time and the temperature was pretty cold. There wasn't any remote control for the conditioning system so we couldn't stop it from working

We really loved this hotel. The location was perfect as it was near the train station (1 minute by foot), the bed was super comfortable, the employees were very friendly and helpful. This place has a lot of charm and heart, as does the city. We would probably return.

The hotel is on the way to Switzerland with a free parking, very convenient They have nice terrace and warm rooms. However, choose queen beds room, cause twin room has tiny window only.

Very nice designed room, quiet inside room, amazing view, friendly staff, free parking near hotel, late check in before midnight. Good value for the money.

Water little bit licking when you get shower

Last minute booking since, all the train where cancelled because of a protest, we stayed at this hotel, very close to the train station. Great view and from the room, walking distance to all nice restaurants.
