I loooooved the staff. It was all local and family owned. They went above and beyond meeting our needs. My husband has celiacs and they made sure he had access to plenty of gluten free options beyond their typical pizza and pasta. The food was absolutely phenomenal.

More pool time. It closed at 7. They should guest untilize it until 10 without outside guest. I didn’t like having having to share the pool with locals. I don’t mind. But please let me have alone time in the pool. Especially a night swim!

The staff was really nice and friendly from the housekeeper to the breakfast attendant with a special thanks to Anna from the reception. Most of the resort has been fully refurbished and renovated with a nice style and decoration items. Good breakfast with enhanced choice of sweet and salted items. Nice coffee shop tabacco and newspaper open until midnight on spot. We did not used the pool but it is very large and just a step from the beach with a stunning view over the Palermo bay.

Few details would need more attention such as some more electric plugs into the room (nothing nearby the bed and only 2 plugs at the desk where we unpluged TV and light to be able to charge our phones as wel as our respiratory assistance). No international channels, only hundreds of useless Italian channels More advance communication toward the guests would be needed to inform about the restaurant closure due to a business event so we could have better organized ourselves (we had to drive several kilometers to find something due to the remote location of the resort).

Room size is great. Beds are comfortable and bedroom had all we needed. Our room had a sea view balcony, which was a plus. Breakfast was fair and there was always a parking spot available for us. Staff is very friendly.

Location is not the best one. And we've booked this hotel with hope to use the pool, which was closed for the week we were in. The restaurant of the hotel is acceptable, but will never be a first choice.

The property was good very clean. Only problem was we had to change our room in the middle of the night because the air conditioner was giving up bad smell. The breakfast was not that great not too many options but the rooms were clean and bathrooms were clean and decent. The concierge told us that the pool will close at 7 PM. However, the lifeguard or pool guard was making us leave at 6 PM which was a bit unacceptable. The location of the resort was far from the city..

Cute small hotel with most amazing view on Palermo and seacoast. Rooms are big and clean, we’ve had terrace with sea view, and my parents took the room with the pool view. Both were really amazing. There is breakfast restaurant in the basement floor, and it has everything you need for good start of the day. There is also restaurant for lunch and dinner within the hotel where we had amazing steak, pizza and pasta. Everything tasted like it’s homemade. We wanted to try cannoli and they didn’t have it that day so the waiter offered to bring us some from local pastry. Hotel and restaurant stuff is so nice and polite also. If we ever come to Sicilia again we will definitely come back to La Martinica!

We took the wrong turn so we were driving to the hotel through some really bad neighbourhood. It was really dirty and it felt unsafe, but it’s Sicily so don’t get bothered, at the moment that we cane ti the hotel everything felt better and we found much better access to the hotel that leads directly to the highway

The receptionist who checked us in was very nice. She helped us figuring out whether a restaurant nearby was open (because of a national holiday) and she even wanted to call the restaurant to book us a table. So kind!! All the other staff members we have seen were nice and hardworking too. The swimming pool are is great. Breakfast is OK and the bed was comfortable. If there wasn’t a loud party during our stay, this hotel would have been a 10/10.

Bathroom wasn’t as clean as you’d like it to be (mirror was quite dirty and floor as well). We couldn’t sleep because of noise from a wedding / birthday party going on at the hotels restaurant. Little kids paying until midnight in front of our room. Noise from breakfast which started at 7.00.. sleeping wasn’t the best part of our stay :)

We had a fantastic stay! The hotel is beautiful, and the rooms were spacious, very clean, and incredibly comfortable. The staff were all friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Everything was perfect. Loved the views, the sunset was amazing. Food was first class. Receptionists were so helpful and friendly.

The reception staff were very helpful and friendly 10/10, but the function staff couldn’t be bothered to say as much as good morning. They need to take a leaf out of the book as the receptionists!!!

Very well equipped. Room was large and overlooked Palermo and sea. Staff are great and very attentive. Food was fabulous. Great location to stay when coming off the Genoa ferry.

Breakfast could be more continental but Italians love their cake in the morning. 15 euros per small dog is expensive.

Staff and location was excellent. Breakfast and staff in restaurant the same. Pool was still open which is good when you travel with children. Restaurant was excellent the first couple of days, but lowered its standard. Not to say it was bad - but in comparison. I would especially want to praise the staff on the hotel. The cleaning was beyond expectations like the service at the breakfast buffet. Bar service as well.

The only bad thing to say about the hotel is its location. It is nicely situated by the beach, but the neighbourhood was as run down as a suburb in Mogadishu. Garbage all over in plastic bags. Halfbuilt buildings or half ruins on the road to and from the hotel. The hotel can't be blamed, but this is something, that ought to be dealt with. It ruins the overall impression of the area.
