This was my second time to Val di Funes in as many summers. Previously, I stayed lower down the valley in San Pietro. I preferred staying Hotel Tyrol in Santa Magdalena. The staff was friendly. Our room was well appointed, comfortable and quiet. From our hotel room deck we could see the signature of view of the area the with the valley and Odle Dolomite mountains. The popular photo location of Santa Maddalena Church is a short 15 minute walk away, which you cannot drive any closer to. The church of Church of St. John is a short drive a away. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate for sunset and we had rain. We did see the mountains in the morning. I would plan on having a couple days to see the area if you time allows.

Quite simply the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The food was outstanding, the three course dinner was delicious and great value at 25 Euros per person. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were excellent, warm and friendly. The room was beautiful, stylish and contemporary. The spa was excellent. Then of course you have the mountain views to die for. Hotels don’t get any better than this.

Everything!! The attention to detail is amazing, everywhere you look is pleasing and artistically designed and every window you look through has a picturesque view!! The food here is AMAZING.....do yourself a favour and have dinner here, the quality of produce and flavours are to be savoured.... the best meals we've had so far!!!

Everything! What a special place. Views were amazing and both dinner and breakfast made our tastebuds so happy. I will highly recommend to others to choose this hotel if they are in the region. I wish we would have stayed more than one night. Hopefully we will get another opportunity in the future to stay here again.

Luxurious stay! Super nice hostess and staff. Hostess made arrangements for us to cover a misunderstanding with our booking. Misunderstanding was our mistake, but she kindly made up for our mistake and we really appreciated it!

This stay was one of the highlights of our trip. Stunning scenery, peaceful atmosphere and warm staff. Would absolutely stay again.

The restaurant was wonderful (we had half-board). The view from our room was spectacular. The staff were wonderful - warm, welcoming, and concerned to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

We had such a wonderful stay here over NYE. The hotel is beautiful and spotlessly clean, the views are breathtaking. The food is fantastic and all the people were helpful and friendly. 10/10 recommend
