Beautiful setting high up in Chianti hills looking down over the valley. Decor is lovely in the rooms, extremely comfortable bed and beautiful windows that incorporated mozzie netting and shutters that gave us total blackout in the bedroom. We had a large terrace attached to our room with loungers and table and chairs. We stayed in the annexe, where there was a large communal area, honesty bar and comfortable seating area plus large table and chairs for the use of guests (saved a walk to the castle for a drink). Plenty of other little seating areas dotted around the grounds. The lunchtime and evening meals were served al fresco on the terrace. Great service and food with a lovely view. During the evening small lights started to come on throughout the garden - it was so pretty. The pool area was generous and the pool was a good size infinity pool overlooking the valley. Plenty of sun beds and umbrellas, and pool towels and a bag provided in the room.

Breakfast was a pretty miserable affair, indoors and rooms a bit gloomy. You needed to get there early if you wanted hot food - it ran out very quickly and wasn’t replaced on the days we were there. I would not recommend this for anyone with mobility problems. There are a lot of steps everywhere starting with the long walk from the car park to main area.

The castle is built back in 1300 but surprisingly the interior is very well kept and the hotel room is very large. We had a lovely stay and had dinner at the historical dining hall. The staff are friendly and attentive. Food and wine is amazing, love the homemade pasta. When we left the property, our car broke down and we had to text the hotel for taxi hotlines. Sarah from the property helped us promptly and provided us with various taxi drivers contact. Appreciate the hospitality and all the small and attentive details from the staff and the property. Highly recommend.

- breathtaking views, spectacular surroundings - breakfast is really good, although I had worries at the beginning of the trip - omelette, bacon, different sorts of sausages (mortadella, salami, prosciutto), cheese, pastries, yogurt, nuts, fruit, crunches, etc. - room and facilities - spacious room located in the additional building. Mini fridge is in the apartment. Iron can be found in the common area. - sunbeds, chairs with tables outside, so that you can have tea / coffee or just rest with the view - Wine tasting: interesting experience, we took Gold Wine Tour, that included visiting of vineyards, cellar and tasting of 4 wines and olive oil with bread.

- we had some troubles with the shower, water didn’t flow away properly. - lunch / dinner (same menu) - limited offer, pricy, small portions. Maybe for special occasion is ok, but we just wanted to have ordinary dinner at the hotel and not driving outside.

We had an amazing time at castello vicchiomaggio. The staff was extremely helpful and nice (they even helped us when our car broke down). Our room was very beautiful and clean. And we also had dinner at the restaurant multiple times, which we also really enjoyed! They even had vegan dinner options, which was amazing. The location is also amazing, very central in tuscany to discover the region. And the infinity pool is also amazing with the best view! We would 1000% recommend staying at this hotel!!

Nothing, everything was perfect!

The castle villa and grounds are exceptionally beautiful even above and beyond what you would expect in Chianti , Tuscany. Delicious on site restaurant and incredibly nice and helpful staff made our stay all the more beautiful. We were the first to stay in one of their recently renovated self sufficient holiday villas. In short, beautiful, clean, quiet and 360 views to die for.

They wouldn’t let me move in permanently. Seriously, there wasn’t a thing I would change.

Don’t think, just the book this beautiful property. It spells everything gorgeous- the views, the quality of the suite, the wine, the trail to the property - all of it and more makes it for an excellent place to stay! you can enjoy the experience more if you are driving to the place.

It was my fiancés birthday and I had mentioned the same to the staff prior to checking in and reminded them, have travelled quite a bit to say- in hospitality industry, the hotels are quick to make it special for their guests, all it takes is a small pastry or a bottle of wine. I requested the staff if something could be done, they messaged me that I can buy a bottle of wine for 17 euros or pastry for 35 euros- needless to say that I would have anyway done that and in fact did do. Not a big deal but let’s just say for a guest who is staying with you for 3 nights- you could make it a tad bit special with a small gesture!

Absolutely beautiful accommodations and facilities! Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were gorgeous and updated while preserving that old castle feel. (Even better than expected), Views and grounds were exceptional. Pool is amazing. Loved the wine tour and Monday night special dinner.

If i have to find something- Breakfast was good but not exceptional.

Beautiful property with great views and stunning pool. A great restaurant, with amazing food. Lovely & spacious room, good value for money. Great facilities especially on an extended stay. Staff were lovely. Cannot speak more highly about the staff. We did not have a car but Deborah (hopefully I’ve remembered her name correctly!) was an absolute sweetheart and drove us to the property’s shop so we could purchase some goodies for our family at home. We booked based on a recommendation of a friend and will definitely return, as well as recommend to our family to visit.

The only thing I’d say is the lighting could have been better as in the room it could get a little bit dark.

Great little castle on a top of a hill with a wonderful view and the vineyards and valley below. The castle itself is property of a winemaker. 5 minutes drive from a bigger village Greve in Chianti. Very easy access from the main road, comfortable rooms and good services. We stayed in a room part of the annex to the castle. At the ground floor of the annex there is a living space with a self service bar where you can enjoy a coffee, a nice glass of wine or a soft drink (loved this area). The beds were comfortable and the room itself was nicely decorated. The restaurant serves very tasty food and great wines. Breakfast was good. The swimming pool was still closed due to winter season. On the last day before leaving we stopped at their wine shop. The person in charge of the shop was very nice with us and really knowledgeable about the wines and the production processes that the winemakers were using. Thanks again!

Il Wifi connection was poor in the room

It was the perfect way to end our three week stay in Italy, we came here for two nights after our wedding and we enjoyed every moment. Having been here before for lunch we were very excited to stay and enjoy the facilities. Both nights we ate in the amazing restaurant, staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly and the pool is beautiful. Greve is just next door so we were able to make some time for the amazing wine festival that happened at the same time we happened to be there.
