Nestled in an oak and chestnut forest atop a high plateau, the hotel complements its extraordinary natural surroundings perfectly. We particularly appreciated the large room & 'parking' area(!). The room was basic, as per the price point, though note should be made of the large-size shower cubicle & consistent hot water supply - not as common in Sardinian hotels as one would hope. An added bonus was the fantastic restaurant & pizzeria that is part of the hotel - judging by the number of locals that eat there for lunch & dinner, it's not just us that enjoyed the shaded outside dining in the cooler mountain air. Breakfast was included in our booking and was a noteworthy highlight - substantial & much more varied than is usual in Italy. N.B. We've tried the local specialties 'culurgiones' & house Cannonau red wine at many, many different places, and can confirm theirs ranks among the best we've had.

We are 8 friends (4 elderly couples) hiking in Sardinia. It is Located in a vast wood area high in the mountains, a 10-minute drive from Lanusei. There are a lot of walking trails around. Rooms are basic but very clean, comfortable and big. A very welcoming and attentive staff especially Stefania who took very good care of us. The restaurant is excellent with a large variety of foods. We enjoyed a few dinners there. A very good breakfast is included. Free parking.

I would classify it more as a guesthouse and not as a hotel, although it is a very pleasant place to stay.

The hotel is part of a local co-operative celebrating the Selene woods and their ancient archaeology. So its main function seems to be as a bar and restaurant for day trippers. We stayed for two nights at the end of the season, and on the second night were the only hotel guests. I’m sure that the feel of the place would be very different in high summer. The woodland setting is beautiful, and there was enough to entertain us for a day (walks through the woods, viewing a couple of impressive nurarghic tombs) while we had a rest from touring. The room was large and clean with the usual facilities. The staff were all friendly and helpful and a good continental breakfast was included in the price of the room.

Location is situated in middle of the forest, thus in the middle of the nature so if you are a person beeing afraid of spiders I would not recommend

Very kind and helpful staff. I arrived very late by bicycle (9:45 pm) and they went out of their way to welcome me. There's a good restaurant where they make excellent pizza. The room was large and the bed comfortable. The next day it was raining hard so they agreed to take me and my bike down to the bus station. I offered the driver money but he refused saying this was typical Sardinian hospitality.

Despite the small wall-mounted heater I never got the room temperature warm enough to be cozy.

The location is spectacular and the restaurant was top notch for both dinner and breakfast. Local ingredients and so rounded by magical forest.

The food at their restaurant is really good and the waiters are very patient. There seemed to be a lot of locals at the bar and that made it even more fun. Our room was big and clean. Their breakfast was very bountiful.
