Superb location on the sea front and close proximity to Benetti Yachts and the port. Ideal business location. A very comfortable room with sea view (thank you for the upgrade 🙏🏻). Tea and coffee facilities in room, a large bathroom with bath, shower toilet and bidet and marble finishes. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Lots of spacious wardrobes with a well stocked mini bar and a good size digital safe which accepted a 16” laptop. The hotel was very nice with lovely architectural finishes and lots of interesting history. The rooftop pool area and bar was great. Although I didn’t use the rooftop restaurant, it was busy and the food looked and smelt wonderful… plenty of local people and guests eating there which says a lot. An excellent breakfast on the ground floor every morning… plenty of choice and a wonderful team led by the maître d ‘Fabiana’ who was so friendly with lots of warm smiles which made my day. I received a very warm welcome from the reception team on arrival quite late on a Saturday evening, and they were very helpful through the week. The Concierge ‘Andrew’ at the main entrance was a delight to talk to, and I was impressed he could speak so many languages and knew Livorno so well - thank you for your help Andrew. Overall an extremely pleasant stay and I’d definitely stay at the GH Palazzo again when in Livorno on business. Grazie mille x

I recently had the pleasure of staying at GH Palazzo Suite & SPA and I was thoroughly impressed with the level of service provided throughout my stay. In particular, I would like to commend Mr. Andrea, who was working at the entrance. His exceptional customer service stood out from the moment we arrived. He was consistently courteous, attentive, and always ready to assist with a warm and professional demeanor. Mr. Andrea went above and beyond by offering helpful suggestions on places to visit in the area, which truly enhanced our experience. Additionally, I’d like to highlight the receptionist who handled both our check-in and check-out process. They were efficient, friendly, and made us feel welcome from the start. Their professionalism ensured a smooth and pleasant experience at both ends of our stay. Overall, the staff at GH Palazzo Suite & Spa contributed greatly to a wonderful visit. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great hospitality and service.

This is a beautiful hotel, a stylish palazzo with big rooms, some that overlook the sea and promenade and others near a spacious rooftop pool and restaurant. It has a spa with a thermal circuit and many rooms have ample terraces, some that overlook the sea. It's very comfortable, too, and the staff was mostly excellent. The breakfast had many options and attentive service. The price was reasonable and for the beauty and luxury of the place it's all the much more a great deal. The location is excellent, right in front of a seaside park and close to a historic church where the American Saint Elizabeth Seaton stayed for a while. There's a bus stop right by the hotel's entrance that will take you straight to downtown or the train station if you need to or want to. The facilities at the hotel are beautiful. The only thing is that like many Italian hotels it does not have a room service menu (though I assume you might be able to ask for room service informally) and as far as I know it has. no business center. The restaurant was excellent (and it's a separate entity from the hotel) and the bar serves ouvred'ours with your cocktails but it was a bit pricy and lacked a "snack menu" or less formal eating options. It's a beautiful hotel and my favorite of a 25 day Italian tour. I definitely recommend it, especially for couples on a romantic vacation.

A room service menu or "snack menu" for nights when someone doesn't feel like going out or having a formal two or three course meal would make this hotel perfect. The internet was a bit spotty, too. I was at this hotel twice and both times I had to ask someone to come and make it work even though I had followed all the instructions. However the hotel is mostly amazing, and these are just tiny things, not deal breakers.

Very imposing building with high ceilings and by-gone charm. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast excellent. I had dinner in the Mascagni restaurant on the fifth floor of the hotel which merits special mention. I had a rich Octopus stew followed by a blue sirloin steak cooked perfectly and some cheese to finish off the wine. I chose a Poliziano Vino Nobile de Montepulciano to accompany the food. Waiting staff were very attentive and made the whole experience very enjoyable.

The hotel has parking but it’s not made clear until after booking that there is an 18€ charge per day. Not the end of the world but could be clearer on Booking.com that there is a charge.

The hotel itself is a perfect blend of historic elegance and modern comfort. The rooms are spacious, beautifully furnished, and offer breathtaking views. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every need was met, making my stay truly unforgettable. The hotel's restaurant served delicious cuisine. Whether you're visiting Livorno for business or leisure, I highly recommend Grand Hotel Palazzo for its impeccable service, luxurious accommodations, and prime location.

The hotel itself is grand. From the large exterior, to the marble floors and columns inside. The rooftop pool was a nice touch, with exquisite views over the seafront. The staff were lovely, especially the concierge! and we really enjoyed our stay, especially at the very reasonable price.

Although the bedrooms were nice enough, the bathrooms felt dark and damp and I felt they could have done with updating. The rooftop pool is nice from the deck but whether it’s the style of tile or mould, there’s lots of black marks round the edges on the inside part which isn’t very appealing. That room is also very dark and lacks any real luxury. There’s also a very old, mouldy unused shower on the rooftop aswell.

The style is great,it gives you this old palace vibe. However it is rather old. The facade was renovated, we were in awe. The stuff in most of the cases were exceptionally friendly and helpful so it is a huge thumb up. Andrea from all the people made our stay memorable and warm. Hopefully he will greet you at the entrance as well. He gave us recommendations for places to visit and always had some nice words for us. A truly nice person.

Parking is payable and rather expensive, 18/night if I am not mistaken. Everywhere else during our trip ot was free. The building is old and in some cases you can tell. Extremely huge potential left untapped. The restaurant on the top floor is expensive and we did not have the best experience with the staff there.

The staff were friendly and professional and went out of their way to accommodate my needs. Alessia at the reception was exceptionally helpful, she helped us with train tickets, room changes and generally really nice to talk to she really made our week a very enjoyable stay. The fifth floor bar was a great place to end our nights with great staff especially Valerio. Our room with sea views and balcony gave wonderful views of the setting sun over the sea. Breakfast had a varied choice to suit all and again staff professional and friendly. We will definitely be returning.

Spectacular and beautiful hotel. You truly feel like you are staying in a Palazzo but with modern interiors. The rooms were very beautiful, clean and spacious. Both the breakfast and restaurant had very good classic Italian food. The hotel is located in a beautiful area in Livorno by the sea front. It would be best to have a car while staying here as the city center is about a half an hours walk by the sea. Great value in money and would definitely book again !

We got an upgrade with a bathtub in the bedroom, it was a really nice gesture. The bed was huge and really comfortable. The room was always really clean. Accessibility to the pool was great.

The place is great, just a little bit tired and needs a bit of work to bring it to its original status. The fact that the soap was replaced every day was a bit wasteful. It would be better and more environmentally friendly to have a soap/shower gel/conditioner dispenser.
