Masseria is perfect in every way -- beautiful restored and quaint facility, gorgeous landscape, beautiful view of Locorotondo, wonderful breakfast. The hospitality is superb -- Emmanuele and his staff go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. On the evening of our arrival he even drove us up to Locorotondo (he reserved dinner for us), and then picked us up. We loved this location and it was very convenient to drive to visit other villages in the area. Honestly, one of our favorite stays in Italy. Everything is top notch -- facility, room, linens, food, service! We could have stayed longer!

There is no better place than Masseria Grofoleo and no more gracious host than Emanuel, who, along with his loyal companion, Evanno, will go to great lengths to provide the best possible stay. Our accommodation was comfortable (and incredibly fragrant) and had a balcony with a beautiful view of the city of Locorotondo, just a few minutes’ walk from the Masseria (also, Alberobello and Monopoli are two other beautiful cities nearby). Breakfast, served in a glass-enclosed veranda, lets you start your day surrounded by nature and the stunning landscapes of the Valle d’Itria. By the way, Emanuel’s mother’s homemade jams are fantastic. Everything was simply perfect. For two days, it was our little piece of paradise (crowned with a special dinner that Emanuel and Evanno prepared for us on the last day). We will return, and it won’t take long. Thank you to everyone at Masseria Grofoleo for the warm hospitality and kindness.

Masseria Grofoleo is heaven on earth. The reality is much more beautiful than on the pictures, from the smell of flowers in the garden to the smell of duvets. Every detail is perfect. I cant even explain how wonderful experience was for my family to stay here, especially tasty breakfast in the garden with view of Locorotondo. Its worth every euro we paid. I cant forget to thank all the staff, their work ensured that our stay was breathtaking. We could highly recommend this accommodation, one of the best I ´ve ever stayed.

5 stars all the way.! This is a must stay location if you visiting Puglia.From the moment you entering the fabulous ground you are greeted by the owner and his staff. The service is exceptional . This 17th century masseria is completely tastefully renovated in 2019. Yet the original construction was preserved The boutique hotel is situated on beautiful manicured landscaped ground . Breakfast was delicious with a variety of dishes. They will attend to all your travels needs.

Staying here was the highlight of our holiday. Despite reading the positive reviews before visiting, we were blown away by Emanuel’s (and others’) hospitality, kindness and generosity. The hotel itself is set in beautiful grounds and feels very private, despite being just a short walk from Locorotondo. Our room was well equipped and everything was high quality (bedding, showers etc). Breakfast was incredible, with lots of fresh produce provided by Emmanuel’s family/friends. We feel very privileged to have stayed here and would not hesitate to return.

Masseria Grofoleo is a family-owned hotel with the most welcoming and hospitable host, Emanuel, and staff, Maria and Ivano. The grounds are gorgeous and the rooms (we stayed in the trulli) are pretty, clean and comfortable. The pool was a bit cold but when it's hot, it's perfect to cool down in. The breakfast area overlooks the hilly town of Locorotondo and a bucolic field and every morning we got the perfect cup of cappuccino, freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit and baked goods (baked by Maria). Emanuel gave great restaurant recommendations for the area. The hotel is in a central location to do day trips to Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, Savelletri, Alberobello and Ostuni and is very close to Locorotondo and Martina Franca. The hotel is in a quiet area so you'll get great sleep. Our family including two kids loved staying there and didn't want to leave. The staff were so nice to our kids! We would recommend this place to our friends and hope to come back one day. Emanuel puts so much love and care into this place.

I have no complaints. They don't serve lunch or dinner, as it is a small family farmstay so I understand their limitations. The towns are close to run out to get lunch and dinner.

My husband and I booked this wonderful masseria for the first few nights of our honeymoon. It could not have been any more special - that's saying a lot as we even had thunderstorms wind and rain for most of our stay but still had a fantastic time. The location amongst olive trees, fields stretching out ahead for miles and locorotondo a short walkable distance away was just brilliant. Perfect base for driving to all the must-see towns such as Alberobello and Ostuni. The masseria was such a relaxing place to spend free time with lovely gardens, a decent sized pool and plenty of places to hide away with a book. Sleeping in a trulli was a really unique experience - the bed was so comfortable and the room was beautifully decorated with wonderful original features. Locorotondo had plenty of wonderful restaurants with traditional puglian cuisine - our host had plenty of helpful suggestions which all proved to be superb. The true gem of our masseria stay was our host Emmanuel supported by his friendly team and lovely family (and cat!). Emmanuel could not do enough for us. He was so kind and generous the whole time, from welcoming us with prosecco on arrival to driving us to locorotondo on a rainy evening and even calling up our restaurant whilst we were eating there to let the waiter know it was our honeymoon so we had a dessert brought in procession to our table! We were never waiting long for a drink or snacks by the poolside. Breakfast was wonderful too with a fantastic selection of cakes made my Emmanuel's mum! We were very sad to leave and will definitely be back!

If you're staying in this region, this is a truly special place to stay. The rooms, pool, gardens, view of the beautiful town of Locorotondo and the welcome from Emanuel and his staff is second to none. It is a more than 5 star experience, with the personal touch. Breakfast had delicious options, both healthy and also some wonderful baked treats! The pool area is beautiful and relaxing, the staff always on hand to offer drinks, and if you book in advance, a wonderful meal in their gardens with a view of the town. The gardens were stunning and a great place to explore including the olive grove, which we were lucky to enjoy it's olive oil. It is relaxing and luxurious, with the added benefit of being close to Locorotondo, Martina Franca and beyond to explore the region. Emanuel is an incredible host, so welcoming and helpful and friendly. His attention to detail is second to none and he has created a very special experience for his guests. We can highly recommend a memorable stay here. If we could give more than 10/10 we would.

A 10 out of 10 rating does not do justice to Masseria Grofoleo. I could spend hours writing about the immaculate rooms, the manicured gardens, the breathtaking view to Locorotondo, the home made cakes and jams for breakfast and so on. But what tops it all is Emanuel. He is an exceptional hospitality professional who clearly loves his job. He goes out of his way to serve you and truly makes you feel like a friend.  We will definitely come again and I recommend staying here without any hesitation. Without a doubt, you will have a wholehearted hospitality experience.

Everything! The property is amazing. The facilities, the location and the services were excellent. The property is like a dream villa just outside of Locorotando. It is perfectly situated to explore the Valle d’Itria. The owner / manager Emanuel is a gem and will do everything in his power to make your stay enjoyable.

The only difficulty we encountered was finding the property with our GPS. If your are driving call ahead for instructions.
