We drove from Amsterdam to Mondo D’Oro and got there around 8pm. The drive there up the mountain is a little bit hectic but worth it. Stunning view and perfect place to stay if you want to do a hike and enjoy nature. We had dinner at the restaurants 2 nights in a row. The food and wine was amazing. Room was very affordable, super clean and spacious for 4 adults. Also a lot of locals came into the bar for a drink which was a nice experience. The staff was also super friendly. I even forgot my AirPods which they send to the Netherlands via post which was amazing. Thanks so much for having us.

Everything was perfect

The location was perfect (20 min from Macugnaga, options for a walk along the Anza river, nice Walser village for a stroll in the evening). Very clean, very nice staff. Good restaurant. The bed was comfortable, the pillow was firm and better than in many places.

We booked the half-board option. In the end it would have been better to go à la carte because the price is the same, but the choice à la carte is much more varied.

The room we were accommodated in was in need of renovation, but it was presented clean and without any major problems. The family and the staff are very friendly and the restaurant is a great hidden gem. A good recommendation for anybody looking to get good food and enjoy the mountains.

It is a very charming and historical location, like from the movies, both the small town and the hotel itself. There is an excellent restaurant in the hotel. Many walking trails can be reached within a short drive

All was good, the quality corresponded with the price.
