I have to say i’m not easily impressed but the Ciavatta Hotel really delivered. Location and the true Tuscany experience was felt and the staff is amazing. Our kid loved it.

Only thing that can be improved is breakfast.

we stayed 9 nights in the cottages of relais ciavatta with 2 kids. it was a truly pleasant and relaxing experience. cottages are comfy and the area is nice and quiet. the swiming pool is a real charm, with space to relax, play, etc. the restaurant La Frasca is serving simple, yet very genuine local cuisine. Despite the warmth of the season, the place is fresh and pleasant. discovering the surraoundings: Scansano, Manciano, Pitigliano and all the historical and culinary treasures was an enchantment.

The property is well place in the heart of a majestical region.

Excellent location and the most charming grounds with a breathtaking backdrop. Rooms were spacious and bathrooms very clean. The incredible views, strong scent of flowers, and the singing sounds of birds made this place extra dreamy. The two pools were lovely, both offering a unique setting and experience . The staff was very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in a fairytale setting.

Everything was perfect.

Amazing location in the countryside, not far from the famous thermal spring of Saturnia and one of the most beautiful medieval villages Montemerano. This area is great for cycling. The complex is located on a large well-groomed territory, among olive trees and vineyards. There are 2 swimming pools, a restaurant. There is a paddock on the territory in which several wild horses live, of which there are only 85 individuals of this breed left in the world. The hosts are very hospitable. You can buy olive oil, wine and jams of their own production. We stayed in one of 10 chalets with two bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen, which had everything you need for cooking. There is also a separate building with rooms according to the type of hotel.

This was our favorite place that we stayed at during our travels around Italy! My wife and I were looking for a peaceful refuge in between our crowded stays in Rome and Florence, and we were so happy that we booked two nights here at Relais Ciavatta. A friend of ours stayed there a few years ago and she highly recommended it to us, and we were not disappointed. We rented a car and made little trips to some amazing, beautiful nearby towns as well, such as Pitigliano, Bolsena Lake, and Civita di Bagnoregio - upon the recommendation of our lovely hosts. These were all breathtaking places to visit, and the serene, natural beauty of Relais Ciavatta was an ideal place to call "home" in between those excursions.

Nothing. This place was perfect!

The place is incredible. Surrounded by nature, the facilities are very well-maintained, and the room was excellent. Good breakfast and attentive staff. Very close to the thermal baths and top wine producers. Will return and recommend!

Amazing location. 8 minutes to Cascate del Mulino. The area itself is incredibly beautiful. 100% Tuscany. The horses right outside the house were a real treat (and especially my wife, who loves horses). Two pools to choose from will allow you to cool off and relax on a summer day

Mosquitoes (really a lot, so take something from them). And flies. But this is a rural area, it's like that everywhere. The only negative thing is that there wasn't much kitchen equipment. For example, I couldn't grate cheese because there wasn't a grater. Which is strange for Italy, because how could we do without it.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Relais! Marco and his family were the friendliest hosts, the room was comfortable and spacious, and the pool was pure magic! We enjoyed our daily breakfast (eggs, pastries, fresh fruit and meat selection) and went on daily trips around the area (beaches 1 hr away, medieval towns 3-30mins away and thermal springs only 7 mins away). Make sure to book a reservation at their restaurant on site. It was so good we went twice! The Relais Ciavatta Country Hotel was romantic, peaceful and captured the beauty of Tuscany perfectly. We can’t wait to be back!
