It was a very smooth stay. We were on the road with the baby, so I appreciated the option to cancel free of charge anytime. I liked the parking in the courtyard, it was easy to go back and forth to the car (which is also something you appreciate when travelling with the baby). The breakfast exceeded my expectations - I've been to quite a few hotels in Italy, and a free breakfast may mean just a croissant and a coffee but here it was a varied buffet breakfast, adequate to the level of the hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was spotless. Some areas of the hotel has pieces of frescos that are quite old. All in all, I liked the decor.

All extras, e.g. parking, are quite expensive. Adding a baby cot was 15 euros, so we opted out of it. I really don't understand why it has to be this way. But this information is given beforehand, so one can always decide, of course.

Good location – as I was exhausted from the trip, I was very happy that the hotel is right in front of the station; it’s also just 10 mins walk to the city center and the sightseeing. The room was big with a very high wooden ceiling. Nice staff – immediately shared the Wi-Fi password and brought me to my room. As I stayed only one night, I didn't have any other interaction with them. I was given a key to enter the hotel from another street so I could come and leave whenever I wanted without bothering anyone.

Extremely strong smell of perfume/air freshener that couldn't be lightened. I tried to open the windows and to turn on the air conditioner to freshen up the room but it didn't help much.

It was the cheapest option on Booking.com. Location opposite the railway station, with an underground car park in the vicinities (Pradella - near Esselunga) with Telepass payment. If they had had free parking, it would have justified the price of €85. The room had a double bed, the bathroom was clean and the shower had abundant water and immediately hot. The receptionist was very professional and courteous. Good choice for breakfast: even bacon and scrambled eggs. The cappuccino was excellent made there and then by the attendant.

At €85 it was slightly overpriced for the hotel - I think €60-65 would have been the right price. The room overlooked the very busy road opposite the station. Although there was double-glazing, you could still hear the traffic. The mattress was rather hard - I don't expect it to be soft, but this one was particularly hard! As for the breakfast, the bacon was good but not the scrambled eggs which tasted bad - not sure if it is because the eggs were old, or they had been cooked the previous day, or simply just not good! As there is an attendant, it would be far better to prepare the scrambled eggs there and then with fresh eggs per fare bella figura (to make a splash).

I was very well received, and the receptionist escorted me to the room and explained how everything works. The room is very clean, the sheets are of good quality, and the shower was excellent, with strong water pressure and very hot water. The temperature of the room was comfortable for the winter, at -1°C outside. The hotel is very close to the city center, just a 10-minute walk. For the price charged, it was very fair.

A fantastic stay at Mantegna Stazione! Arrived to Mantua for a wedding and found this place at a very reasonable price. Location is very good, with the Train Station crossing the street. And maybe a 10min walk to the city center. The room was great, bathroom size was kind of small, but overall all good.

Bathroom smaller than I thought it could be. Apart from that, there was nothing negative. All was pretty good.

I was very impressed with this hotel. My main reason for choosing this was the location, very close to the station and also within walking distance of the historic centre. The staff are excellent and very friendly. The room was very nice and very clean. The breakfast was good and the breakfast staff are super friendly. I would definitely stay again.

Very convenient place to stay if you're stopping overnight in Mantova. Right across the train station, very clean hotel, helpful and kind staff at the reception. The room we stayed at was spacious, comfortable bed, great shower. The room was very quiet. The centre is only a 10 minute walk away. We would definitely stay here again

The hotel can be rated as comfortable, although it is a bit outdated. It is very important to note the presence of air conditioning and a refrigerator in the room. The breakfast is also very good and varied.

Reception was very helpful. Showed me where to park my motorcycle and gave good clear instructions in English as to which doors to use and how to open them at night when reception doors were closed. Very helpful in a practical way

Right opposite the train station. Room facing inner yard so was quiet but some noise during the day when some people playing in the inner yard.

Didn't like that the duvet had no proper duvet cover but in between two sheets - one on top and one at bottom, the duvet got separated easily from the sheets. The spare duvet inside the wardrobe had no cover at all..
