Staff was amazing, starting from fantastic ladies serving breakfast, through the cleaning service, and finally to the lady from the reception. The view from the hotel is amazing, as well as, a big terrace you can spend some time in the evening. The location was perfect, Massa Marittima is amazing, you find there anything you want, even the sea is around 20 km away from the hotel.

The hotel is a bit old and, in our opinion, should be renovated soon. The breakfast was typical Italian and we were disappointed because there were no fresh vegetables such as tomato, cucumber or pepper. In that regard, Polish breakfast are surprisingly much better and plentiful. Swimming caps are required on the pool which is strange, kids were complaining a lot. Finally, the guy from the reception was sometimes overwhelming, asking at any opportunity. Maybe it was a typical Italian approach, but we found that this kind of behaviour was not very good.

Nice hotel. Fantastic view from the outside area and from one of the two rooms booked. Perfect location close to the town. Very pretty nice town. Very good breakfast with a lot of choices. Very nice pool area.

Booked two Superior rooms - with balcony/terrace and view - but only one of them was according to the booking. Had to use swimming cap in the pool.

rooms are a bit dated, also receptionist was a bit sarcastic, which we weren’t keen on.

Nice hotel walking distance to the town centre. All the staff were very friendly! Breakfast was good and the room was clean. There was a great view from the balcony.

Certainly not a problem for everyone, but the room smelt VERY strongly of air freshener. To note for anyone with allergies or smell sensitivity.

Very good location with parking. Great breakfast with pleasant staff. Beautiful community with visible history and explanations., The politics of the Sienna, Pisa and Florence competition is very open. Several beautiful chruches have daily mass.

Some rooms are very small.

A very well located hotel with superb views of the sea and countryside from our large balcony. The staff were great- always friendly and helpful. There was no charge for the pool which was a great place to relax after seeing the town ( 10 minutes walk). We loved Massa Maritima !

Duca del Mare is always a good joice. Rooms are a bit small, but the staff is very nice and the view stunning. Quiet during the night and parking in front of the hotel. Recommended.

We loved where the hotel was located, the sunset view was stunning. And it was a walking distance from Massa Marittima where they had so many amazing restaurants. Also the staff was very professional and incredibly nice.

Breakfast was typical Italian, very nice .Personal very friendly kind ,helpful . We got at the location early hours in the morning ,everything was set for us to get inside with no trouble whatsoever .

Only suggestion they’re bathrooms need updating , apart from this it’s a beautiful place to stay in.

Short 10 minute walk into town. Lots of sensibly priced restaurants. Hotel staff were exceptional Great breakfast Sea view ( Yes really)
