Staying at the Residenza d'Epoca Palazzo Malfatti was a greta experience; one of the best flat I ever been in my entire life. The flat was completely refurbished and by opening the eindow you could see the Massa Marittima's square with its amazing cathedral. The check in was smooth and the flat was huge. The owners left some water and juices plus things for the breakfast. Really good choice.

Nothing. the wifi on the flat was not super powerful but we didn't need it; so all good.

Parking outside to carry the luggage 200 metres. There are 2 bathrooms, so when bathroom 1 is showering you dont get much hot water in bathroom 2

An enchanting medieval building transformed into a comfortable, charming holiday accommodation, which we absolutely loved!

We loved everything!

A beautiful, historic building in the heart of the town which was clean and comfortable with all we needed for a short break. We even had breakfast provided which was an added bonus. I loved the beautiful ceilings and windows in the spacious room.

With all the benefits of a central location, it is sometimes noisy at night, especially at the weekend.

Check-in was quick, friendly and trouble-free. Our room was spacious, comprising of 2 double beds (one located in the loft), a table with chairs for dining, a sofa, TV and a little kitchenette. The host supplied us with tea and coffee as well as milk in the refrigerator. The accommodation was beautifully located, close to the main piazza and shopping street, but far enough not to be disturbed by the week-end partying. All in all it was a wonderful stay and I would recommend it to family and friends.

The only down side was that the television didn't work consistently, so we were unable to watch a TV show from start to finish.

Unit in 800 year old castle … amazing! Easily the best accommodation we had in Italy! So surprised we found an affordable castle! The village is wonderful too! Nice restaurants and getting lost in the pedestrian only section was great fun!

The only negative was that was had to leave …

The hotel is located in a magnificent historical building in the heart of Massa Marittima. The apartments are very spacious and refinedly decorated. Vittorio and Enrico are very kind and friendly!

This is the second time we at Residenza d'Epoca Palazzo Malfatt and again, it was excellent (that's why we went back). The building and architecture is amazing and as a result all the apartments (we had four booked in total from small to the largest) are unique, individual and fantastic spaces. Most rooms had great views onto the main square and the central courtyard is really rather special. Vittorio and Enrico who run the Palazzo are lovely guys, very accommodating and will make sure you enjoy your stay. It's a great place, whether you stay there in Summer (August for us) or winter (December for us, and make sure you have a fire during at least one of the evenings - each room has a great fire place).

We loved everything, however one thing to mention (and to be expected) its a historical building from the 13th century, this means no lift and the rooms are arranged over the first, second and third floor, with most of them having mezzanines too (super high ceilings), we had grand parents with us and my advice is to ensure you book a room on the first floor for those who need it.

This is a very nice historical palace perfectly located practically in the cathedral square of Massa with refined decoration with very kind and professional owners.

I liked very much this place, is hard for me to indicate what I disliked.
