a balcony and a terrace, lots of room in the main living area of the apartment, peaceful and quiet area, with restaurants and stores very close by, overall very clean and very helpful staff

minor things, I'ld say: the airconditioning was a bit loud (we had to put it on during the night because of the high temperatures), not a lot of contacts in the room to charge equipment (we unplugged other things), the bathroom didn't always seem so clean, but it might be due to "older age" of the building in general, relatively small bathroom

Beautiful room with high ceilings and original features. Great location and lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Staff helpful.

Housekeeping store next to the room so lots of banging and chatting from staff in the morning. Mocha pot provided to make coffee but only if you pay £20 to use the stove.

Location is great for town and ferry and bus lines The room was very spacious with balcony in beautiful style building Staff were very helpful and gave great restaurant recommendation Number One just down the road The views from the fourth floor were great Bed was comfy

You have to pay extra if you want to use the cooking facilities 20 euro I believe The lift is very slow so I just used the stairs

We probably had an upgrade as the room was much bigger than I expected, with a little separate kitchen. The position was great for using the public transport. All the staff there were very friendly and helpful. There is a fantastic bread shop just around the corner which also did pizza and hot dishes at lunchtime, calle 'Non solo pane', I can't recommend it highly enough? If/when we return to Messina, we would happily stay there.

A really smart hotel with a huge room and a wonderful high ceiling. The staff are what made it so special - nothing was too much trouble for them.

You might struggle to cook in the kitchenette without crockery, cutlery or pans but it was useful to have a fridge and kettle. With a good breakfast provided, and great restaurants nearby, this wasn’t a problem for us.

Hotel has an excellent location near the town center. Good parking options. Beautiful and stylish rooms. Very kind, helpful and pleasant staff. Rooms were always clean, beds were soo dreamy and comfortable, breakfast in swedish-tables style - so tasty. Overall - we've enjoyed our stay so much! Many thanks from Slovakia 😊

Our room was at the back and very quiet. The area was pleasant with restaurants nearby. The receptionist booked us a taxi to the hydrofoil port and the driver realised they might not be running due to high winds, waited while we checked and then drove us to the other port at no extra charge.

The breakfast was ok but nothing special.

Great Period Hotel in excellent City Location. Staff were always helpful and ready to assist us. Only blemish, is the size of the shower (very small) but this is common in Sicily. However Sicily is now the new “Go to Destination” in Europe, if not on the planet, so larger showers would be a wonderful and welcome addition for future visitors from all over the world.

Larger Shower. This is the only thing that needs to be addressed, otherwise the property is great.

Huge room with glorious floor tiles and painted ceiling. Large comfortable bed. There was a fridge and a kettle which was great. The staff were very friendly. The location was perfect, we had 2 balconies onto the street but the room was very quiet. Loved the slightly faded elegance of the hotel. It would almost be a shame to modernise it! We would definitely stay there again.

Great location, close to train station and ferry, in the city center. Our room (Junior Suite) was spacious. It was just a bit dark because not much daylight gets in. But we were out the whole day anyway, so that was fine. Staff was friendly.

The WiFi wasn’t great, it kept disconnecting and was slow. The headboard of the bed needs to be dusted.
