Highly recommended – Residence San Mattia! The accommodation is in a perfect location, right in the heart of the Spanish Quarter – close to the port, promenades, great restaurants, and many of the city’s main attractions. The apartment is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, offering a fantastic experience in many ways. But what truly stands out is the host, Maurizio. He is incredibly helpful, explains everything clearly, and provides excellent tips for exploring Naples. It’s rare to meet such a thoughtful and dedicated host! If you’re planning a trip to Naples, this place is an excellent choice.

The room was nice, spacious, clean, high ceiling, large windows with double glass, also elevator or palace stairs. The service was hightech with application for room breakfast booking, the location in famouse Spanish district with plenty of taverna, café, shops, close distance to harbour Molo where you get on Alibus to the airport in about 30mins, 5 eur per person.

As we stay 3 night, the menu for breakfast was the same, I would expect something else than only sweet food. We got café, juice, yougurt,croissant, breakfast, better, Milk, we prefered some cheese or ham, hard boild eggs for change. During our stay was noise ( both mopeds, cars, group, hooligans) on the street even at 4am, so didnt have change to sleep during holiday as we wanted to see city attactions and museums, castles, local market, never mind. We will come back again.

There’s nothing to complain. The apartment was very nice, located 6 minutes walking from Piazza del plebiscito, near to restaurants and other attractions by day and places to enjoy the night life. Room, kitchen and bathroom very clean and spacious. The photos don’t make justice to the apartment, it’s beautiful! The elevator uses a 20 cents coin to operate but the host give us 2 coins to use it. Maybe, 2 card keys for the apartment would help, but it wasn’t a big problem for me. The attention of the host was more than great, we arrived almost at midnight and he welcomed us and even gave us food and a Coke, the best one I’ve ever had after a 20 hours flight. When we left the apartment, he fixed us with a taxi driver from the apartment’s door to the train station. Definitely 10/10 ⭐️ Will stay again here when in Naples.

Fascinating combination of old and modern. Antique furnishing and high-tech service. Very comfortable room and bathroom. Excellent communication with the host. Location perfect for exploring Naples and experiencing the spirit of the city. Within easy reach of public transport.

Great place as base to visit Naples, the building not much to look at from outside and no signage but goggle map takes you straight there. Communication before arrival excellent via WhatsAp and Giovanna met us at the property and was so very helpful - he gave guidance on tours, ordered taxi to airport (fixed rate €25) and was very amenable with breakfast times. The room is lovely with fantastic alfresco on the ceiling, the bed is so very comfortable and the bathroom extremely modern. Breakfast is delivered to the table outside the door to eat in your room. There is an ipad on the wall in the room from which you can look up various information and also order your breakfast for the following day - very clever. We visited in March 2023 - perfect time to visit with minimal crowds so we were able to do so much in a short space of time - however it helps if you plan your time before :) Room is on the 2nd floor, there if a lift however you need 20 cents per ride (we only used when we had our bags). In the room there is a fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Lots of small local stores to be able to buy a few things (including fresh milk if, like me, you want milk in your tea :) ) Great find, good value for money, loved the place and will happily stay again and definitely recommend.

There is a slight step up into the bathroom which gets slippery when the shower has been used - soon fixed by moving the bath floor towel. There is no kettle, you can use the coffee machine for hot water however it is tainted by coffee, heating water in the microwave is not the same! .... really minor complaint and only as I love my tea!

The location of the accommodation was very central, close (3 minutes walk) to the metro station, shopping street, excellent restaurants, but also to tourist attractions, such as the royal palace, museums, S't Elmo and Nuovo palaces and to the see, etc. The host was very kind, helped us with everything, responded immediately and took care of things quickly. He provided excellent service.

The streetscape is 'old town', but the accommodation itself is very unique with its painted ceiling, modern bathroom and built-in smart home control features.

Great location, safe, close to the metro station, port, or even walking distance most of the attractions. Lots of restaurants around. Staff was very helpful and flexible.

The bed was awfuly unconfortable. :( The accomodation is on the second floor (more like fourth- high floors), which was bit hard with laggages. Later lift key was available. :)

Beautiful, spacious, centrally convenient accommodation in the Spagnioli Quarter of Naples. Housed in a tall 300 year old tenement block, the room has a beautifully restored painted ceiling and frescoes. Very attentive and helpful hosts.

Right from the start of arriving in the wonderful chaos that is Naples, we were driven through the backstreets of the Spanish Quarter to Residence San Mattia. Maurizio, was fabulous at communicating with us (via WhasApp) and we were able to check in slightly early. He was absolutely brilliant at welcoming us in to the property and giving us local information. After we explored the city we both agreed that the location was fantastic, safe and we wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else with it being so close to the main parts of the city. The property itself was spotless, well organised and very comfortable. I'd have no hesitation of recommending Residence San Mattia to a friend.

I can highly recommend this accomodation as everything was great and smooth 👍🏼. Landlord was helpful and kind and most things were solved via WhatsApp. Bedroom and even bathroom were clean ✨, well furnished with modern equipment and with awesome historical celling 🤩.

The street was busy 🔊 even during the night 🌃 so be prepared for that noise. My biggest "issue" was with breakfast, which contains mostly sweet food 😐. No sausages, scrambled eggs, no hot food, etc.
