Everything. Perfect rural location with an amazing view from all areas. Wonderful grounds and the buildings were beautiful with a lovely family suite for us on the top floor. Air con superb and very comfy beds. Top quality restaurant in the evening which was also lovely for lunch. Breakfast buffet was nice, reasonably limited options but freshly made coffees to order and the most amazing pasties that were apparently baked on the premises that morning. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the view was really special. Family running the hotel were very helpful and friendly. Reception guy who greeted us on arrival could not have been nicer and more pleasant and spoke outstanding English. Pool area was lovely, our kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Not too many kids staying but the kids were welcomed. Waiter and guy manning the pool bar was very professional and worked super hard (didn’t catch his name but grey hair tied up!). I really hope I can return one day.

Lots of steps up to the family room I think I counted 72. Managed it though and worth it for the view from the roof! Shower was tricky to work went hot and cold and was a bit of a nightmare to operate. One morning there was no water coming from any tap but didn’t last long. Very remote so you need a car or to take taxis everywhere. Taxis tricky to order but the hotel helped. More snack choices during the day would have been good. Lunch was a bit pricey and formal so pool snacks would be a great addition.

Location close to Perugia and music festival and city highlights. The pool and sun terrace is a Welcome bonus. Plenty of sun loungers which can be reserved in advance for guests for a fee. Nice breakfast with a selection of cold meats, cheese and baked items, and a couple of cooked items. Had an evening meal on the terrace which was very good. A nice relaxed atmosphere. A good sized room with a terrace. Helpful and friendly staff. This was a return visit and we will be going back!

a number of pets around the property including a large rabbit and friendly dogs. Need to be more vigilant in cleaning up the poo as found some around the sun loungers already trodden in by an unsuspecting guest.

We had a great 4 night stay in July. The pool area was a highlight with lots of sun loungers and umbrellas. Non-hotel guests are able to use the pool but we never had an issue finding chairs/having space in the pool. We had dinner at the restaurant two of the nights and the food was great and outstanding service. All of the staff were exceptional - including a very helpful man at reception (who spoke great English) and the two men working the pool bar/restaurant - Dedil was friendly and very helpful. We had breakfast at Domus Volumnia every morning and there was a great selection including coffees/cappuccinos. The room was spacious, beds comfortable and had amazing air conditioning. We didn’t rent a car and were able to go into Perugia using the nearby bus (buses don’t come very frequently) and order taxis to come back (which was about €20). We also used the hotel shuttle service to get to the train station which was exceptionally easy! We loved our stay and would recommend.

We specifically chose an out of town hotel as we were having an anniversary treat, but needed to be able to park our camper van, a request that was readily agreed to and even before we arrived, the service was excellent and an early arrival was also agreed to. The staff were both friendly and helpful and Valerio, who works on reception and speaks perfect English, always greeted us as we walked past his door. The pool and restaurant have a really nice vibe and have wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. We spent 3 nights here and had lunch and dinner on two days. Lunch menu is ‘light bites’, ideal when spending a day by the pool and evening meal, delicious food topped off by the view! We used the in-house taxi service to visit Perugia, which was inexpensive and we were collected back very promptly at the end of the day, thank you Rosano for going above and beyond with your ‘extra tour’ As you can tell, we absolutely loved our stay at Domus Volumnia and would return again a heartbeat!

We went to Perugia for a 3 days wedding and we stayed 5 families at Domus Volumnia. The place is not located in walking distance from the city, so you will need a car, but for us it was perfect as a base. It looks on maps like the highway is running very close, but it’s in a tunnel so you don’t notice it at all. Nice pool area with a bar, restaurant etc with a nice view over the Umbrian nature, made the all the free time we had very nice and convenient. Staff was friendly, breakfast better than average in Italy. So if you are looking for a nice hotel with a pool, close to Perugia, where you can spend some hours during the day and sleep well, I would recommend staying here.

You need to get new pillows. Too hard, too high. If you are not used to this kind of pillows you can’t sleep well.

Oh this property is very beautiful! Assigned sun beds so you can be sure to have sport near the pool even after lunch. Short drive to the Perugia and Assisi. Free parking on the spot! Dinner was exquisite! Friendly and helpful staff. Specious room.

We noticed that cleaning was not so good as we would expect. It seemed that they only made the bed in our 3 days stay. Breakfast need to be upgraded as well. We were bit surprised as dinner was very delicious but breakfast had really poor options.

Great location just on outskirts of Perugia Wonderful pool Peaceful with stunning panoramic views and beautiful gardens. Great service . Very friendly helpful staff who were able to collect us and bring us from Panicale to property and also allowed late check out .

Unfortunately restaurant was closed while we were there and there is no other restaurant nearby but owner was very friendly and helpful with recommendations of wonderful restaurants in Perugia and was able to drop us in and collect us for small charge .

Domus Volumnia was an amazing place to stay. Family owned and run and Staff couldn't do enough for us. The restaurant on site served lovely food in the evenings and continental breakfast in the morning. The location is quite rural with nothing close by - however this is exactly what we wanted. Staff offer a shuttle service where ever possible for a small charge. The views from the terrace and pool are incredible and you can see how many hours are spent tending to the gardens.

There is quite a few steps if you are staying the main house, not a huge problem but something to be mindful of if you have mobility issues.

The location is great! Just a few km out of Perugia, it offered everything we we searching for, for a quite weekend away from home. The facilities looked great, and although we could not enjoy the pool due to the colder weather, we could have taken advantage of the spa and massage services. The apartment was spacious and the price was just about right. There was Wi-Fi, inside parking, and the check-in was super smooth. The breakfast spread was also amazing, for both adults and children (and the pastries were all handmade).

The bathroom in the ground-floor apartment had a little smell, but it might have been due to the heavy rains that might have blocked the underground pipes. There was no other issue except for the smell (no leaks or issues with showers, etc.) Other than that, we have no other comments as everything was really great.

We had an unexpected issue with an electrical device that was making an irritating noise in the room. The staff could not fix it during the night but offered a discount to apologize for the inconvenience, which was appreciated. They also confirmed they’d fix it for the next guests.
