A beautiful, small, well maintained, modern, hotel with a unique flair for interior design with traditional Italian touches. Stunning views from the bedroom windows and restaurant across the valley to the hilltop city of Perugia. A very comfortable, modern, well stocked bedroom and several public rooms (library, terrace and kitchen/dinette) on the same upper floor as the bedrooms. The restaurant only purchased and used local products prepared by the owner and her chef to offer a delightful breakfast and a limited but delicious variety of dishes available on the dinner menu. The whole experience was a delight. Thank you Sylivia and all your friendly staff.

Our stay was too short (5 nights) we should have booked for longer... and will next time.

We were staying for 5 days at the hotel and were also eating at the restaurant. Our modern and cozy room was very clean and had a phenomenal view over Perugia's old town and the landscape. The sunsets were breathtaking. The host Silvia was amazing during our whole stay, we had wonderful individual breakfast, with different homemade food every morning. At the restaurant there was a great selection of different courses and wonderful wines. If you are visting please keep in mind that the hotel is in the outskirts of Perugia and you need a car to get around. On the other hand you are far away from the hectic city and have a wonderfully quiet ambience. Should we visit Umbria again, we will definitely stay at Stella's again.

Extremely kind people! Silvia and Arek made us to feel like home. The hotel is very clean, the room was large and comfortable, with big terrace. The place is situated in quiet village very close to Perugia and equipped with own parking. RESTAURANT! The restaurant is famous in the neiborhood with it's delicious umbrian food cooked with love and knowledge. For dinner you have to make reservation! As well, you have a fiorentina in menu every evening. Silvia, Arek and Paula adviced us for meals and wines. Breakfast according to your wishes. Everything in this wonderful place is done with love, care and elegance. For sure we'll be back!

Silvia the owner is simply on it, in every aspect - hospitality, service, adaptation to various needs (e.g. gluten and sugar free diet). Provided very good recommendations on where and how to visit and a perfect suggestion on a place for nearby great local dinner on Tuesday, the local restaurant is off. Breakfast was rich and in full service. Also had lunch on one of the days and it was very very tasty. The location is a few km east of the center of Perugia with close free parking, which is exactly what we looked for when having a rental car

Great location to explore this area of Perugia! The facilities were wonderful - great bed, great shower - and yet very quaint and homey. The staff were so knowledgeable and attentive. The best part was the food! Breakfast was the best we had on our Italy trip, and dinners were also amazing! They are passionate about locally sourced products and top-notch preparation and taste. Couldn’t ask for better! Sylvia, the owner, was also very helpful in suggesting places to visit and how to access them. We would stay here again!

Location is ideal for visiting everything Perugia has to offer and the room with balcony had enough space for our 5 day stay. Host very engaging and happy to provide recommendations to match the guests desired experiences. Breakfast and dinners are home cooked and a demonstration of regional 'full circle kitchen' (no waste). Our breakfast table looked out to Ancient Perugia and the beautiful hills and valleys before it - a more beautiful postcard representing the location would be hard to find.

The shower pan was very slippery, and the stairs to the room are external and uncovered.

We visted our daughter in Perugia and wanted to stay somewhere convenient to Old Town but off the beaten path. This hotel was the perfect location, with amazing views and comfortable accomadations. The breakfast was delicous and our host were more than gracious. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely receommend this lovely hotel to other travelers.

I wish we would have visited in April or May since March is the rainy month and put a damper on most of our trip.

This is a place you want to come back to, very cozy and stylish. Delicious breakfasts with pleasant music and a beautiful view from the window. Every detail is thought out in the hotel, there is a cozy kitchen where you can make yourself tea or coffee. A lounge with books. I was absolutely delighted. Dinners in the restaurant on the terrace, tried different dishes from the menu, liked absolutely everything.

The Locanda was not far from the city centre, yet very quiet at night. The room was large and decorated with quirky touches and the decor throughout was stylish. There were good facilities, with communal seating areas and small kitchen for guests.

We ate dinner on one night, but we felt it was more a case of style over substance and the prices high for the content we experienced. Breakfast was served, rather than buffet style and seemed a bit limited compared to other places we stayed, with rather small portions offered.

What a beautiful hotel with amazing friendly staff. The food was unbelievably delicious. The breakfasts were fantastic, totally loved the scrambled egg served in the little frying pan. We had dinner on both evenings and were so glad we did. A small but interesting menu with too many lovely choices! I would so recommend this little hotel to anyone.

There wasn't anything not to like, it was FABULOUS
