Our 4 night stay at this classic Italian hotel was simply perfect. On arrival the gentleman at reception greeted us warmly and showed us to our room. All the simple things were provided such as wine glasses, safe, fridge, comfy bed and fluffy towels. I only came to Italy with a European plug to charge my phone and I thank the lovely lady at reception who went out of her way to provide an adaptor. Breakfast choices were excellent and I just loved the crispy bacon. Brilliant housekeeping (thank you ladies!). Location is great with a 10 minute walk to both the Ruins and Station.

Hotel Palma is in a perfect location, just a few minutes' walk from the entrance to the Pompeii ruins and surrounded by plenty of nearby restaurants. The breakfast buffet had a very good selection, making for a great start to the day. The rooms are nice, although a bit old, which is expected given the building’s historic nature, but they are more than adequate for a short stay. The standout feature of this hotel is the amazing staff, who are extremely helpful with anything you need. Parking was also easy, thanks to the staff's assistance in finding a spot right next to the entrance. Overall, I recommend this hotel for its excellent location, good amenities, and outstanding service.

The hotel was smartly decorated and clean. It is well positioned for local amenities and sight seeing. The quadrulpe room we were given was well laid out with plenty of space and had very good air conditioning. All the staff were exceptionally friendly. They spent time with us on our first day talking through the map of Pompei, pointing out the main routes to the ruins, where the main shops and restaurants were, and the train station to get to Ercolano for Herculaneum, which is next to the hotel.

Our room overlooked the station and I was intiatlly concerned about trian noise, but I needn't have worried as I couldn't hear the trains at all.

Location - the location is excellent, adjacent to the train station, which is generally quite quiet, but overlooking a major junction which gets busy during daylight hours. We were visiting the historic ruins and its about a 10 minute walk through town to the entry. Room - our room (212) was lovely can comfortable. The shower is good but the cubicle is very small, though quite typical for Italian properties. The bed was comfortable and the room had all the functions we needed.My only issue was that our room had rally slow wifi, outside the room it was excellent, but just that room seemed to be a dead spot, so if you are looking for a room with fast wifi you should ask for a different one. Breakfast - the breakfast was excellent, a nice if basic range of options but more than adequate for what we needed.

My only problem was with the room wifi but this seemed to be specific to the room, outside the room, in the corridor, on the stairs etc the wifi is excellent, very fast and a strong signal.

The Hotel is right in front of the regional trainstation which makes arrival from napoli easy and the entrance to the ruins of Pompei is only a short walk away. From where also the public bus up Vesuv has its first stop and its still easy to get seats on it.. The breakfast was very good. The room was cosy and the staff very friendly and helpful. There is a wonderful rooftop area with whirlpool - but it wasn't operational yet and we had no time to use it - but i think it must be very nice.

Some parts of the furniture are getting a bit old. You need to put the key (or something of similar shape) into a slot to have power in the room, which makes the refrigerator obsolete... I think in a four star hotel the 5cent for power to leave it running during day should be included ... I imagine in summer it must also be annoying coming into a very hot room as the AC had no power while you were out...

The hotel was an excellent location, a short walk to the ancient city of Pompeii. I attended a concert by Andrea Bocelli in the ancient amphitheater and enjoyed the short walk to and from the concert. I particularly enjoyed the wonderful sunset views of Vesuvius from the rooftop garden, only a short walk from my room. The staff were very nice.

Location was great and the staff were lovely providing fantastic service. The rooftop provided the most fantastic setting to watch the sun set over Vesuvius.

The breakfast was not very good. If we stayed again I would have a breakfast in one of the many cafes close by. It was a shame because it would not take much to change what they served so that it was acceptable.

In our road trip through Italy, the best hotel of all... Everything from the staff, breakfast, cleanliness, comfort, everything is top! The lady at the reception was super friendly, the gentleman who escorted us to the room was also very friendly, the staff at breakfast very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend and when I or one of mine come back I will definitely be your guest. Thank you for everything!

Everything was excellent, the room was beautifully decorated, spacious and accommodating. Bed was so comfy. Bathroom was gorgeous! The staff- over the top, wanted to do everything and more to make you have the best time. We had a few problems with some things that the hotel had nothing to do with YET they took the time to help us! Couldn’t have asked for a better hotel to stay and to top it off the BEST staff. Thank you all!!!

There was nothing that we didn’t like! Everything was exceptional!!!

Very central and great for visiting the ruins. Nice selection for breakfast and provided gluten free bread and cake for me. Plenty of local restaurants to eat at in a short walking distance. Staff were very helpful with parking as only a few places right outside that are available.

Was a bit noisy until midnight with people sitting out on the roof terrace as we were on the 4th floor.
