We LOVED Ciasa Salares! The staff is fantastic (more on this below). The property is beautiful and so well maintained with such great care. Our room was really nice (and the view!) and it was so nice to sleep with the door and window open with the cool, fresh air. Our breakfast each morning was phenomenal (so many delicious choices), we loved our happy hour routine each day, and we had two great dinners at the hotel (one in main dining, one in the wine cellar.....what a special experience, complete with cheese and chocolate rooms). We also loved our afternoon spa experience (circuit) each day after hiking....multiple different types of saunas, natural hot tub, etc. All this said, it was the staff that made our overall experience a 10+. Every single person was delightful. Their service, whether at breakfast, happy hour, dinner, housekeeping, front desk was truly 5-star. Speaking of front desk staff, not only did they make us feel at home, but their hiking recommendations were perfect. Of all the places we could have stayed in the Dolomites, we could not have been more fortunate than to discover Ciasa Salares!

Lovely hotel about 15 mins walk to town. The Staff were excellent. We arrived the day before the Dolomiti bike festival and the roads were closed from 7am to 230pm. They assisted us in finding a beautiful hike that were were still able to do walking from the hotel and it was beautiful. The following day was the Feast of Corpus Christie/ Dormi and they drove us into town to attend mass and afterwards there was a procession around the village with many locals dressed in traditional costume and carrying the saint statue.. The breakfasts in particular were very good. San Cassiano nearby is a really pretty little town. The hotel was beautiful with lots of flowers and a restaurant and a bar. The pool and jacuzzi were free but you could pay for spa services

Hotel very nice situated close to the village, quiet with great views. Staff was very friendly and well informed about the area, good tips about hiking trails, and sightseeing spots. Also, staff at the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. We had a nice chat with Domenico at dinner time.

No complimentary coffee and tea in the room, even though we knew, for such a high standard hotel, it would be a nice extra.

Everything! It’s beautiful!! The mountains are practically in the backyard. The rooms are very clean, attractively decorated and comfortable with lots of closet space. The restaurant is fantastic and the staff are very attentive. You never want or wait for anything because the servers are fantastic! We really cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed their service and how enjoyable they were. The breakfast is great with so many choices and dinners were delicious! The grounds are impeccably maintained and picturesque. A trail is accessible just across the street and we hiked to the mountains. Hopped in the car and took a beautiful drive to lots of small towns nearby. Had a drink on the deck at a charming place called Bar Heidi Wine Beer & Friends in Arabba Italy. Hotel Ciasa Salares was an incredible place to stay and we plan to gift a stay to family who just got married.

We liked everything!!!!

This is an exceptional hotel, the room we had with a view of the dolomites was very impressive. the room was large and clean with fruit and sweets in our room on arrival. The staff were all very friendly and informative and we were provided with a free bus pass to look around the area (the bus stop was just outside the hotel). Ample parking was available. The part that made this hotel so exceptional was the level of service and the quality of food in the restaurant/breakfast room. We are not experienced hikers so the ski lift near the hotel was useful to take you up to easy walks in the Dolomites with fantastic views in every direction of the mountains and the flower meadows. We were even given water for the journey when we left.

Absolutely nothing.

- Room was very good, large, clean, quite. - The staff in the reception very kind and helpful! - The food in breakfast & restaurant delicious. Congrats to the chef & team.

- I had an issue with the restaurant, the dessert was "buffet" which -in the whole hotel world- means that I can take a second dessert if I want to. No, they charged me 10 eur me because I took a second dessert and when I asked them why they told me "it's up to 1 dish". The were staring at you, counting the pieces you put. WEIRD. Obviously it was not about the money, it was about the attitude. Anyway, the kind woman in the reception deleted this charge during the checkout.

The hotel is really nicely decorated. The staff is really kind and helpful. The location was ok- we did have to drive to reach the famous hikes (but we knew about that). The breakfast was fresh and there was plenty to choose from. We used the spa everyday after hikes and it was the best feeling ever :)

For dinner they have two restaurants, one offers a 4 course meal and the other one is quite fancy- we didn’t mind paying, but we would have loved having some “simpler” meals. We had to drive around to find restaurants

This hotel is in a fantastic location and was a treat for us to stay half board for three nights. The food was very good for both breakfast and dinner, the former a blend of buffet and cooked options, the latter offers three choices over four courses. Our room had a stunning view and had a large balcony, also with a Nespresso machine. We also ate in the wine cellar one evening and enjoyed an excellent tasting menu. The staff were all helpful and friendly.

The shower was not quite the same quality as everything else.

The highlight of our stay was the staff. Knowledgeable about the local area, super friendly, relaxed, helpful. So many stunning walks available from right outside the hotel. Lovely Finnish sauna. Breakfast was exceptional - fruits, seeds, local yoghurt and all the rest. Lovely drinks and generous bar snacks. The cellar 5 course menu + wine was really fun, relaxed, great food and service

It's located on a road so there's traffic noise. The bedrooms are a little old fashioned, would benefit from re fit.

The spa facilities, dining, and parking were excellent! The front desk gave us some great recommendations for hikes nearby that we might have otherwise missed. The shuttle will drive you into San Cassiano or other trailheads. Rooms were very comfy and spacious.

Food can be a little pricey, but understandable given the location. It's probably a better dining choice than anything in the nearby town. Also, in the height of summer, it can get warm as there is no AC. It take a while for the rooms to cool down
