Very friendly and nice staff, really nice hotel, excellent location in the vicinity, in the walking distance from the Sanctuary, nice clean room, good mattresses. 3-bed room was spacy.

Breakfast was not satisfying and could be made more compelling. No fresh vegetables or fruits, which are easy and cheep to add. They offered boiled eggs, but no scrambled eggs... They could easily prepare scrambled eggs. Easy and relatively cheap things. Scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, tomatoes, vegetables would make a difference. In the double bed they offered only single blanket for two persons, but maybe this is typical for Italy. It was not clear from the time of booking that parking place was not included, but paid (but maybe it was only me and I just overlooked such info). But based on their location, it was nice that they organized the option to provide a parking possibility really close to the hotel. Some staff was not speaking english (but there was also staff with good english)

Very convenient to the Sanctuary. The staffs were really friendly and accommodating. Room is spacious and clean. The only downside was the breakfast. They dont have a restaurant so food they serve for breakfast were like instant packed food. Not hot meals at all. Still its the hospitality for me that is highly commendable. The front desk staffs were really courteous and would make sure you have all the info you need getting around San Giovanni Rotondo.

Our favorite part of the room was the bed. It was very comfortable. We loved that they also had extra pillows in the closet, which were thick by the way. The staff was also friendly and explained everything we needed to know about our stay excellently. He even booked us a table at a nearby restaurant, which we really appreciated, which included a 10% discount because we were staying at Hotel San Pio. We will definitely come back!

The shower was on the smaller side and might feel compact for wider or taller folks, but that's all. The water pressure was great, as well as the soap that was provided.

Location of the hotel close to The Sanctuary and churches was a great bonus as San Giovanni is quite hilly. The hotel has recently been refurbished and was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent with a variety of cereals croissants pastries etc all of top quality. Staff were all excellent and very helpful Represented excellent value for money and I recommend without hesitation

I didn't appreciate that it was necessary to prebook car parking at the hotel which is charged additionally at ,€12 per day. I was fortunate to find on street parking close by with the help of hotel staff but it is in short supply.

It was in close proximity to the areas we wanted to visit and to restaurants. It has very comfortable rooms and the breakfast was very good. The staff spoke English which was good for us as we do not know Italian. The staff was very helpful in telling us different places to go to help us on our trip. We used its taxi service to take us to The Cave of St. Michael the Archangel and the driver was very informative.

Lorenzo made our time there worthwhile. He was exceptionally helpful (we had no Italian 🥴) & he was cheerful & couldn’t do enough for us. He also gave us information about events/activities at Padre Pio’s Church we did not know about. A valuable member of staff, caring & thoughtful .... TAKE GOOD CARE OF HIM. This quality is lost in the fast pace of life we live in today so it is what made our stay at San Pio “homely”. A lovely young man. Thank you. We will definitely stay at San Pio next trip & brought your business card too.

Hotel was nice and in a good location, few walking steps to the church like 200 meters, rooms are humble but comfortable and clean. The Front Desk guy i forgot his name, I think Pierre is very nice.. He is very accomodating with all of my inquiries. Thank you.

The shower area is so small considering the have a large bathroom area. Its hard to take a shower with the space provided. But otherwise it is all good and clean.

The location is good for our purpose to spend a lot of time at the sanctuary. The staff was excellent, all spoke English and they were very helpful in telling us about events (the beautiful candle lit rosary on Saturday night), arranging transportation, and explaining why the AC/heater wasn’t allowed in October. The room had all the necessities.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. Especially Lorenzo. The hotel location is very near to the Sanctuary of Saint Pio. They provided simple breakfast. Would love to come back and stay here again next time.

The room is not soundproof. But i still have a comfortable sleep at night.

The breakfast could be improved with non pork options, fried eggs and savory foods . Learnt that small showers are standard in Italy. I could barely move without turning the faucet off, lol!
