The building was beautifully renovated. The room was super clean, with modern facilities. Quiet and authentic neighborhood location. The manager Adriana was wonderful, as was her niece Manuela. They were super accommodating and helpful. A nice variety of continental breakfast items each morning.

A bit pricey for the location. Would’ve been nice to have use of the kitchen or to have a common area to hang out in.

Location, cleanliness of property and accommodating personnel for our needs. Convenient nearby public parking space is a big plus.

We would have liked freshly baked cornetto for breakfast.

Well situated for both the city centre and the parking (free), stylishly furnished to every detail, the B & B Porta Nuova was an excellent choice for our stay in Umbria. Adriana, the host, contacted us on WhatsApp while we were driving there and was ready to welcome us. She even booked a restaurant as we were due to arrive at 8 pm.

Although breakfast was generally good, especially Adriana's excellent homemade crostata! I missed a real Italian coffee, which we had later at the bar pasticceria on the corner.

The host was very kind and was responsive to any requests. Her English language was lacking.

We chose the property because of an excellent rating. But it turned out to be a plain average experience in all respects. We have seen many, many properties and know what an excellent rating ought to stand for. The shower was poor; the room was very small; the bed was average; the internet didn’t work in the bedroom, which was very limiting; breakfast was fine; the bedroom toilet had problems that were not fixed from issues already known to the owner. But: the hostess was nice and was trying to be helpful in giving advice regarding where to go. We appreciated that.

We did not like the first room given because the window was very small and without a view (even if the decoration was really nice). The new room given was very nice and brighter, but way more expensive (vs the first room and what we paid usually during the rest of the week). Considering we were the only ones in the whole building staying that night, we would have appreciated a discount since the upgrading would not have costed one penny to our host.
