The Borgo is impeccably kept. When you arrive, it feels like you landed in a fairy tale. The views are just unbeatable and the gardens are really alive with flowers, herbs, ancient trees and birds. Breakfast is great. Very comfortable beds!!

Our only issue was that the restaurant was expensive when compared to other local restaurants. The food is very good, but it could try to be less fancy and offer some more humble food. If the restaurant offered a more relaxed menu, i would have eaten there everyday.

Claudia at the bar was wonderful, she served delicious wine and had an amazing play list. We enjoyed one of the bottles of wine out on the terrace to watch the sunset....lovely. Stephanie at check-in was super helpful and kind. The staff were all very kind. We would like to come back in the summer when the pool is open. :)

Since the weather turned cold it would have been nice to sit by the fire pit outside but it was not going.

It is magical place in the heart of Umbria, not far from Todi. You stay in a medieval castle turned into a country resort with all the anemnities you need - spa, swimming pool. The restaurant is cosy, the price is reasonable for the quality, the staff are execptional. Large dogs are also welcome, just prepare for the local cats :)

We absolutely loved Borgo Petroro for many reasons - it's fabulous location in the middle of the beautiful, quiet Umbrian countryside, it's amazing historical and clean visual appeal, the relaxing garden and other lovely areas to sit, the bikes to hire for a wonderful safe ride with amazing views, the great breakfast with plenty of variety, the castle cat, our enormous suite, the most enjoyable evening meals and the very attentive, friendly restaurant manager Mansour!!

Location: Well placed for day trips to various towns and villages in Umbria. Clean: The grounds are very well-maintained and clean. the rooms are well appointed and very quiet and comfortable. The setting is very peaceful and relaxing. We loved the bird songs at all hours of the day. Food: The meals were excellent. Breakfast was perfect. Dinners were some of the best we had in all of Umbria. People: Possibly the best feature of the Borgo Petroro - the entire staff was kind, patient and so inviting. From the ladies in Reception to the Housekeepers and the Server staff. The morning we were to leave each and every one genuinely gave us a warm goodbye. Wonderful people!

The Borgo is a magnificent place that feels like you have entered another era. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The suite's decor was beautiful and with a vintage feel. It was really warm and cozy with all the necessary amenities.

Breakfast was pretty standard, to be honest we expected at least a few a la carte options based on the overall quality of the place.

We higly recommend stay in Borgo Petroro where had amazing time during our holidays. The staff was very professional, helpful and friendly. We have not expected such spacious room for just the two of us which also was very spacious and clean. We also recommend the restaurant where you can try delicious Umbrian cuisine with modern, surprising combinations. Our stay was perfect and we hope to come back one day. For sure we will be recommending the place to our friends!

From beginning to end, our stay at Borgo Petroro was truly great! The location is stunning and we had a beautiful view across the hills from our room. We were well taken care of by the attentive and friendly staff throughout our stay. We loved our time in Umbria and this was a great base from which to explore!!

Location was picturesque and beautifully quiet. Breakfast had big range from croissants, muesli and freshly squeezed orange juice to pancakes or scrambled eggs. We returned for dinner after our stay as the restaurant food and wine was so good

Beautiful hotel, very relaxing and calm. Short easy drive to Todi. The room was much nicer than the one we booked which was a lovely surprise.

It would be nice if there was a bar open in the evening for an after dinner drink, but it’s not necessary.
