We stayed at Il Mandorlo for 3nights and it was a very pleasant experience. Very friendly host Eva greeted us on arrival with lovely fresh brewed coffees, and she served amazing breakfast every mornings. Everything on the table was handmade by the host, i mean everything, including bread, cakes, biscuits, jam. The room was spotless clean with the fresh air and lots of light. All facilities is in good working condition. Its a lovely terrace next to the room with amazing view of the valley where you can have a breakfast or enjoy nice evening with a bottle of local wine. The location is about 5km above the Maiori, we had a car and it was only 5min drive from Maiori. Very nice and remote place with only 2 minutes walk from the nearest pizza restaurant. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking to unwind in tranquility.

Such a lovely spot to stay with great views and very welcoming hosts. The breakfast on the terrace was great and the dogs would come to say hello as a bonus. If you are without a car make sure to get some bus tickets at tobacco shops for ease of travelling back down the hill to the coast. Definitely recommend :)

The location was spectacular, our room was immaculate, and our hosts were lovely. Breakfast on the terrace was delightful, home grown produce and home made food, and cuddles from two beautiful dogs.. It was only a 5 kilometres walk down the hill into Maiori which allowed us to really appreciate the scenery. We were sad to say goodbye.

The room was just missing a kettle to make a cup of tea. The bus service into Maiori was a little unreliable.

The property itself is so peaceful and beautiful. My stay here was wonderful. On top of the place being beautiful, the hosts were wonderful. I got food poisoning to the point that I needed to go to the hospital. The hosts were so kind and treated me like family. They provided food to fit my appetite, water and juice to help me heal, and even drove me personally to and from the hospital (I got discharged at 1am). As a solo traveler, they made my fears navigating this way less. I could not stop thanking them!

If you are not already comfortable with public transportation, I would recommend renting a car because the place is more remote.

Lovely place tucked in the hills above Maiori. The owners are great, very sweet and helpful. They helped us out with borrowing us bus tickets (there is a stop very near but you have to get tickets in town before getting on the bus, nowhere to get them up in Tramonti from what I understood) and let us wash the car with their hose. The room was nice, shower had great water pressure. The views were amazing! We loved sitting outside with a glass of wine in the evening, just enjoying the peace and quiet. Maiori is a 15 minute bus ride away, we also rented a scooter for two days - recommended if you want to get to Amalfi, Ravella etc. Driving the car here is definitely not for everyone so we did not use it during our stay here.

Accommodation was extremely clean and well maintained. The views from the terrace were stunning! The hosts made us feel very welcome (so did their furry friends!). Would highly recommend spending some time here away from the hustle and bustle along the coast!

This didn't affect our stay, but you definitely need a car or scooter to get to the accommodation and in order to access local amenities and the coast more easily.

We truly enjoyed our stay in a peaceful and scenic mountain area. The beautiful garden and the stunning views of the mountains and partially the sea made the place feel magical. The room was clean and well-equipped. Our host Ewa was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location is perfect for trips to Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii, and the Amalfi Coast. If you’re traveling by public transport, there’s a bus stop just a short walk from the house.

This fabulous place was about 6 kilometers up the mountain roads from Maiori. Regular buses traveled up and down, so it was very convenient to reach, just remember to buy your tickets in advance with some to spare! The view from the room was magnificent. Everything was clean and pleasant. Breakfast was different every morning, it was homemade by the host. Food included fruits and vegetables, bread, pastry, and of course coffee! For dinners, an excellent pizza place nearby can be reached on foot.

They were amazing hosts on a beautiful piece of property that had so many nice corners! You can feel the love for detail. The location requires a car for sure but if you have one anyways this place gives you great value for money. It is 10 minutes down to Maiori where you have sandy beaches (special at the Amalfi coast) and close to all the attractions. Of course you cannot see the sea from here but the hillside is a nice change!

The walls to the other room are very thin, so that one night we were kept up by the snoring of another guest through the wall. Also, the hot water wasn’t enough for all the guests to take a shower after one another. But I guess that’s part of Italy’s rustic charms 😉

What can I say about it? everything was perfect. The scenery was amazing and the morning view was so soothing and calming. The breakfast was served with care and love from the hostess as most of the things were homemade by her giving us a true Italian household vibe. We didn’t want to eat alone as the two cutest dogs Happy and Lucky were always happy to sit with us. The room was cute and very very clean. The coast was a 10 minute drive and from there just The thing that won us for sure was the amazing hospitality from the really sweet and kind hostess that even rushed to inform us about a bag we have forgotten in the room and stayed to wait for us retrieve it in the midday. If I could give it 11/10 I would.. Totally recommend it.
