Delicious breakfast in the garden with beautiful view across the valley to Urbino. Very peaceful at night. Elegantly decorated rooms upstairs, including a shared dining room with tea, coffee and wine. Ale is a friendly host who speaks English. We parked our car free of charge just outside the house.

We knew we had booked a room with separate private bathroom, but this was not close to our bedroom. However, our room was large. The hot water in the shower was erratic. We found the bed frame too springy.

Alexandra is an amazing host! Very friendly, very helpful! House is located across the old city( 5 min to drive), but for us, it was an advantage: a quiet, rural atmosphere, beautiful views on the ancient city, and no problem with parking! Breakfast is setting up in a beautifully decorated dining room. Cleanness everywhere! It was pleasant  to feel  care and respect  about guests from the host. Many nice details you will find in this place. So, we are so happy that we  chose  this bb !

The old house is wonderfully characterful and in a superb peaceful location looking across to the old city. Alessandra and her mother serve superb breakfasts in the garden while you look at the view and listen to the birdsong. Urbino is one of the most atmospheric of Italy's old towns, and I found Ca'Lavalle an excellent base for a week exploring the country and sights of the Marche. Alessandra was unfailingly warm, friendly and helpful. It was very hard to leave...

Everything was perfect

Alessandra and her mother were super accomodating and welcoming. Perfect communication always with a smile. Amazing breakfast. Room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Great weekend stay. Close enough to get to Urbino historical centre walking.

Bathroom could be a bit larger.

A very good place to stay for a few days in a beautiful landscape and close to a cultural town with art treasures. The old house and its friendly owner create a sound base for sightseeing.

I wonder if there is a better small hotel than Ca'Lavalle. Perhaos there is, but only in fiction or on film. A stay at this location unlocks superlatives about the atmosphere, its spaciousness, the house and its decoration, the quiet, the garden, conversation with fellow guests, the terrace, the pets - but above all about Alessandra, her mother and their colleagues for their attentiveness, kindness and generosity. The city is a 10 min walk away; there are wonderful views from the hotel terrace.

There were no negatives.

We could not have asked for a lovelier place to stay in Urbino! Alessandro and family are wonderful and the room and home were amazing to stay in. So much history and so many kindnesses. The breakfast looking out on the view of Urbino was incredible! The walk into Urbino is fine—honestly, so much better than wrangling parking.

It was ALL good!

We have stayed in many places whilst touring Europe by car and this would have to be one of the best. Everything is first class from accommodation, breakfast and excellent hosts to say nothing of the view. Given the chance we would certainly stay here again. Very highly recommended.

Nothing to dislike.

An incredible B&B in a historic building. A stay in this place is an unforgettable experience. A very friendly host, beautiful rooms, a perfect breakfast served outdoors with a stunning view of Urbino. It cannot be better.

Breakfast was outside with a view of the old town of Urbino. Plentiful and lovely place settings. Alexandra is a very gracious hostess.

The bathroom needs a light over the sink for shaving.
