Great stay, very romantic, I was with my mother so that was less romantic! We wanted to stay in Stazzona as it was where our family originally came from and it was convenient for our family history research. Francesco met us at the front and was very lovely as we arrived very early so he showed me around and took our bags and my mother and I were going to look for the old family home. We thought everyone had moved away but when I mentioned the family name he knew exactly who we were talking about and gave us directions to the house. He took our bags upstairs for us while we were out (they are VERY heavy!). He gave us information about the area, a taxi drivers’ name and number and said to contact him first if we needed to go into the town and he may be able to take us if he was available. We did use the taxi driver, and he was great also, even picking us up very late after he had finished work. The room was very spacious and beautifully set out, clean, had an electric jug and coffee maker as well as teas and coffee pods etc. The bed, sheets and towels were soft and clean and there was bottled water left on the fridge for us as well. There was also a little book on the coffee table with some details of the family businesses which was a really nice touch. Francesco was around when we needed anything or replied straight away on booking.com messages but was not intrusive. We had amazing views out of the windows and there was a great breeze going through the room. It’s a lovely area and really nice to walk around, there are a number of drinking fountains in the area that have the best drinking water and very cold. Even without the family connection, it’s a beautiful place to stay and relax, it was very peaceful!

There wasn’t any air conditioning, however we were unable to find anywhere else to book that did have air conditioning. Francesco told us that the summers have been much hotter the last three years than previously and they were getting air conditioning installed. I’ll definitely be back, next time with my husband!

Nice new/renewed building with charm. Clean and cosy. Gel and Shampoo available in the bathroom.

No elevator. Room not accessible with mobility diversity. Tiny room. Even outdoor window cannot be fully oppened. It is blocked by the bed. Not walkable area in the surroundings. Nothing to do here without a vehicle.

The place is newly renovated and very nice, with wooden and simple , but very pleasant furniture. The bathroom is big and comfy. Very, very clean! One of the cleanest places I've been to.

Very cosy apartment with a bath tub with hydro massage option in the middle of the room. Very elegant, comfortable and chill.

There is not many restaurants or shops in that area, it's 10 minutes drive from Tirano. But you can get around easily by a taxi.

There is no ‘bus’ or transportation from Tirano, but Francesco is a very good host. He may transfer you from Train station to location. Fancesci is a very good host considering ‘remote’ location of accomodation

The room was really beautiful with the details to spend a romantic getaway in Tirano. The host Francesco was really attentive and organized everything for us. Definitely would recommend to sleep here before or after a trip with the Bernina express.

I had difficulty finding it as it didn’t have the number of the building displayed prominently.

Wonderful owners, super kind welcoming and friendly. Amazing vegetarian Japanese restaurant. A real gem in the region and worthy of a destination visit.

Alternative food options in the area were limited, but this is in no way a criticism of foresteria stazzona. Hopefully they inspire more visionary local hospitality!
