We took the train to Tirano from lake Garda. We were looking for a hotel close to the station & the Bernina Express & Hotel Corona was perfect! Our room was clean & modern, bathroom was spacious & shower had plenty of hot water. Breakfast was plentiful & fresh. All in all it was a great stay. I wasn’t sure what to expect because the room was inexpensive compared to the rest of our vacation but we were pleasantly surprised. Would stay again!

Room was a little small & the bed was rather hard. But I wouldn’t let it stop me from returning if I’m in Tirano again.

I did not have much time for breakfast and had to catch a special train (panoramic Bernina Express) at 8:00. So, I wanted to grab a few items from the buffet. I was warned by an angry staff member that it was only to eat in. That wasn't specified during check in. I was one person only and did not take more than one for one breakfast. It was very disappointing while everything else was so satisfactory.

At checkin I was told I didn’t reserve the place that really made me nervous after a long day full of drama (train cancelled due to the floods). It turned out I was “checked in” before arriving such that the system couldn’t see me any more. The lady at front desk tried very hard to get me a room in their fully booked hotel, and finally find my reservation and issue resolved.

The location is definitely the highlight for anyone planning a Bernina trip to Switzerland. The hotel had everything we needed: clean, comfortable beds, dark rooms for a good night's sleep, and a clean bathroom stocked with wonderfully scented cosmetics. The staff at the reception were incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially when we had an issue with the WiFi. Overall, it was a fantastic stay!

Location to the train station is excellent. Check in was perfect. Helpful and offered things I didn't know I needed, like breakfast, and free public transport ticket. The room is clean, modern, and we'll decorated. Bed is comfortable. Charging points at the desk really useful. Shower is powerful and delightful. It sure gets the travel stress off you at the end of the day.

I didn't know Switzerland was closed on Sundays 😁

For the price I paid this place was an excellent option. Sure it hasn’t been updated for a while and you are probably in a room that looked how it did years ago when it was built, but consider that part of the charm, and the reason for the reasonable price. The receptionists were excellent. Parking undercover nearby for €15 a day was much appreciated. The hotel is centrally located. With the money you save you can buy shoes from the many many shoe shops in town!

Despite my late arrival, the hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure a smooth check-in process. They had left my room keys on the desk along with clear instructions, which made settling in hassle-free. Upon entering the room, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness it offered, especially considering that it was not a luxurious hotel. The ample space provided a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, making my stay even more enjoyable. The room was thoughtfully furnished, and the amenities provided were comprehensive, covering all my needs. I must highlight the excellent breakfast options available at Hotel Corona. For only 10 euros per person, the breakfast buffet provided a wide variety of choices to suit every taste. From fresh pastries and bread to a selection of cheeses, fruits, and hot dishes, the breakfast spread was extensive and delicious. It was the perfect way to start each day of my stay, ensuring I was energized and ready to explore the beautiful surroundings. I must praise the Moroccan lady at the restaurant, she provided a great service during our breakfast. She was very attentive and helpful towards me and my husband. And she was always smiling! I forgot her name but she was amazing, she made our stay wonderful!

Extremely clean, the room felt fresh. The view was unexpected in the morning. Close proximity to bars, restaurants and the train station. It is good value for money.

We paid 12 eur /p for breakfast, but it was very basic. Looked nice from the outside, but few options to eat. The walls are thin, and you could hear the neighbours changing channels on the tv.

200m from train station. From the train station, just walk straight til the end of street (100m) & turn right (100m). Bernina Express train station is just next to the main train station. Room & beds at hotel are comfortable. Breakfast was excellent & had lots of varieties. Staff were very polite, friendly & helpful. Lots cafes & restaurants outside hotel. 15 minute walk to Sanctuary of Madonna church & Tirano town. Pretty little town.

No lock on bathroom door. Otherwise, all good. No other complaint. It's a very good hotel. I like this hotel for its location, breakfast spread, comfort, value for money, friendly helpful staff.

Stayed here for convenience due to an early departure on the Bernina Express. The hotel was basic but clean, and it worked fine for a quick overnight stay. Nothing special, but the location made it a practical choice. Ideal if you just need somewhere to rest before an early start.
