Stayed last year at Altavilla and thoroughly enjoyed a couple of days walking and so made a return visit which equally enjoyable. The Albergo is in a superb location right on the old town square and opposite the church - the whole area especially nice with Christmas decorations. Sonia, the manager, is very accommodating and knowledgeable on the area and things to do. Nothing is too much problem. Breakfast is superb, lots of choice for the non-meat eater! I like the rustic style of this Albergo, offers a non-pretentious and welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely stay again

The hotel is great. It is an easy 10 walk from the train station. The owner cheerfully greeted me and gave me suggestions of places to see and where to dine. The room was large with a small balcony. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom appeared to have been recently remodeled….new shower stall, sink, toilet, etc. Morning breakfast was assorted breads, cheese, meats, yogurt, fruit, cereal. And of course coffee and juices. This is exactly the type of hotel I like to stay in.

It's a very lovely hotel with a friendly hostess. Exceptionally clean. The room and the bathroom were perfect for 1 person, nicely decorated in yellow. There was everything I needed, including the hairdryer. I had to leave early in the morning to Milan and got a special package with fresh pastries to take away. The hotel is 15 minutes walking from the train station, next to the central church and there are nice restaurants nearby.

The lady at the reception was very helpful and nice. The bed was comfy, room was clean and had everything as I needed. The breakfast was very yummy, and it was just enough. Over all, great experience as a solo traveller.

The hotel is quite a way from the train station. It is also away from the downtown area, solid 20 minute walk from the hotel to a pizzeria or laundromat. The check-in window also ends pretty early, but you can ask for late check in under special request and they granted it for me.

Sonia who managed the hotel is extremely kind and very sweet and friendly.Due to multiple bus and train delays wasnt able to reach as per planned commute and she was very helpful to arrange a taxi to get to Tirano from Sondrio.The room was very clean and comfortable had a great time here in this charming town and exploring Switzerland too doing a day trip.

First things first. Perfect location, right in the city centre and beautiful view to the train tracks of Bernina Express. High quality breakfast with a wide range of options. Also, the room was clean and the whole hotel has that cozy specific vibe that one could come across only in the northern part of Italy. The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. By far one of the best options for Tirano.

Clean room and good location especially if you visit Tirano for Bernina - the train is passing the street like a tram and you can take even more nice pictures near the hotel. We had the room with mountain view and could see the trains passing through the town which we liked very much. Friendly, nice host.

Breakfast was great for sweet tooth people. Just ok but it lacked veggies, there could be at least something small.

Location next to church and main Plaza. Room under the roof sees the cathedral and bell tower.... so great. The staff was very helpful and kind (she could manage a screaming lady on the same floor of our room...2 thumbs up 👍)

Wifi should cover all areas (nit only common area). Will be better to have hot food (but variety of choices)

Sonia welcomed us like a family. We didn’t have much time for the breakfast since we need to catch the train, but Sonia prepared some food for us. Although it was a short stay, we really enjoyed it. If we visit Tirano, we will stay in this hotel again!

People in the room next to us were smoking and somehow the smoke trapped in our bathroom

The hotel is very clean. The staff is very friendly, accommodating, and willing to help. The breakfast is a very good quality and centrally located. Also able to go from the hotel to the Tirano FR, and Tirano Trenord stations by foot (~15 mins walk)

What would complement the hotel would be WiFi throughout the whole building instead having WiFi solely in the common area downstairs. Also, an AC-unit and a fridge would make the room more comfortable and practical.
