I like everything after visiting hotels of different standings and prices at different locations. I was planning to stay a day and finally we spend a week around. Doesn't look like when you come in at the gate, but believe me, it doesn't matter if you book a room or suite, the standing is there. The concept is good and cosy. Good value for money and the food is great and affordable. The location is good for a good experience local experience. Proper breakfast.We booked a room (we didn't need space) and we could stay in the whole day Confy. I definetely recommend it.

Nothing major, to be honest. Good concept and well-maintained. It would be great to have a place to hang underwears which you want to clean directly after a shower.

It is a cozy hotel with a beautiful green courtyard, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. We are a Swiss family with teenage kids and we selected the hotel because it is located in Yopougon, which is known as a very typical “ivorien” neighbourhood, off the business- and high-end districts. We very much enjoyed this vibrant part of Abidjan, including its beautiful beach sites at southern lagunes of ile Boulay, about 20minutes drive and 5min pirogue from the hotel. (Google also “Aya de Yopougon” and “Akissi”-for those few who don’t know it yet)

Friendly staff, decent breakfast, AC worked well

Room wasn’t cleaned properly, floor was sticky and stained from spoiled drinks and there were bits and pieces of old party decorations in the corners. Location is shabby and there’s only on-street parking available, luckily there’s guard 24/7 but didn’t feel comfortable leaving the car there still, lots of drunkards and beggars around.

The facility itself has great aesthetics with its fountain in the open courtyard. Throughout the hotel patrons are treated to various forms of art and paintings. The rooms have great comfort, AC, WiFi and hot showers. There are various complimentary breakfasts to choose from that can even be delivered to one's room. Even with all these highlights, the employees may be the Detente Hotel's strongest feature that went out of their way to make guests feel comfortable. The staff were brilliant. They helped me fix my visa issue before my travelling withour forcing me to stay with them. Then they helped me get back my money from the driver who reportedly took a different route to get to the airport without asking me and paid toll money and asked me to pay for it. The breakfast was brilliant, the room vwry spacious and bathroom also big. I highly recommend this hotel in Abidjan.

The location is a bit far from airport and main town but can be reached easily by Yango or normal taxi.

The gave us an upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi tub (of course, the jacuzzi tub didn't work but you get what you pay for right?). Front desk staff were nice, as were the bar staff. Breakfast in room or in the courtyard. Ok wifi. Decent AC.

Not too much around the area of interest to a visitor, though there are some bars and restaurants a short walk away. Not particularly cheap, but we were there during AFCON when all prices were high.

24 hour desk, welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Its near the main road and was an easy find. Breakfast is simple but adequate and is brought to your room

Its a bit far away from the city centre and sights to see. Establishment is a bit small so its ideal for short stays spent mostly out and about. No coffee making facilities in the room

The staff and facilities are very good. The room is clean and the breakfast enjoyable. I really appreciated the airport shuttle. The additional half-day Abidjan tour was exceptional...the driver was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I would recommend Détente Hôtel to anyone looking for an accommodation in Abidjan

Very beautiful intimate place. The receptionists were exceptionally helpful. Madam Aurelie, Madam Blé they made our stay very warm even though our stay was short. We hope to return soon.

The location is abit far from Centre of town. Not much food options. Otherwise the hotel is great.

The breakfast was exceptional. Always had more than enough to carry me through the day. The staff were always nice, from the reception to the kitchen to the cleaning staff to the security; everyone ensured I had a comfortable stay at the hotel.
