I recently stayed at the Ritz Romer Waikiki at The Ambassador and wanted to share my experience. The hotel boasts an excellent location, conveniently situated close to various commercial businesses, making it ideal for exploring the area. The room I stayed in was exceptionally clean and featured a fantastic view, enhancing the overall experience of my stay. Additionally, the staff at the hotel were truly outstanding; they were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to be helpful, which was greatly appreciated. The pool area was another highlight, providing a nice space to relax and enjoy the sunny weather.

However, there were a couple of drawbacks. The room lacked a microwave, which would have been convenient for longer stays. Additionally, the absence of an on-site coffee shop or restaurant accessible throughout the day was a bit of an inconvenience, especially for those days when you just want a quick bite or a coffee within the hotel.

Very comfy and decent. The staff was good and respectful. Even if there wasn’t complimentary water in the room contrary to what I were told, they were helpful in bringing the water when requested .

There is no parking and u have to pay $47 for valet, else u look for a street packing or elsewhere to park. You also cannot connect your device to the tv due to secure code on the tv. Also when booking your room online, make sure to verify all the fees and taxes are applied to the final payment. Then take a picture before u pay. I almost had to pay an extra $50+ in fees. Had to show proof that the extra fees were added to the booking.

Best hotel for the price, most comfortable bed I've slept in while travelling, great pool with bar, recently renovated and friendly staff. Only downside is no restaurant yet as they're renovating it, otherwise perfect experience. 10/10

Amazing location! Waikiki beach, Ala Moana center is walking distance. Bus stop is right in front of the hotel. ABC store is like a minute away. Very helpful and nice hotel staff. Free coffee and tea is in the lobby.

The staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel has been remodeled in recent history so seems very fresh. While many guests rated the cleaning as a 10, I saw visible dust in my room as well as stepping on something underfoot in the carpet around my bed. The bed is super soft; if you like a firm mattress, you may wish to go elsewhere. Many restaurants and shops are within walking distance. I had a city or neighborhood view room. It was on a corner with a large deck on the two outside walls. I like that they offer filtered water refills on the first floor. And no excess plastic waste with tiny-sized products. They have installed refillable dispensers at the sink and in the shower. I originally booked only one night but after liking the room and location so well, I added two more nights here.

It was noisy in the morning with a rooster, trash dumpsters being emptied, and construction nearby. When taking my first shower, I washed my hair, and then found out that the refillable, wall-mounted soap dispenser was empty. The Booking.com listing states that parking is available. The available parking is valet at a cost of $47/day.

Clean and cozy. The balcony is spacious and perfect for enjoying breakfast or a morning read. The place has been recently renovated. All furniture and decorations are brand new. I love the color and overall vibe. The room is a good size, but it could use a bit more seating. There’s only one round table and a single chair, though the table itself is fairly large. Housekeeping comes every two days, which was just right for us. They change the towels and can take out the trash if you ask. There's also a bottle refill station on-site, which is really convenient. I just wish guests were more mindful about keeping it dry.

I saw a comment mentioning that the water temperature is either freezing cold or super hot. Unfortunately, it’s true. I eventually figured out a way around it: try turning off the water when you’re not using it, because if you leave it running, the temperature tends to keep changing. Also, the shampoo and body wash have a very tropical scent, which is not my thing.

Extremely comfortable beds. Excellent location- convenient to everything in Waikiki. Close to the bus stops and ABC stores. A real find, considering that few guidebooks mention this property.

More variety of the food offered at the restaurant- especially for breakfast.

Good location with bus stop just outside. Happy hour drinks. Microwave available to use which was helpful. We were lucky to have a room ready so was able to check in earlier.

There was a stuff up of their system twice where they did not register that we paid via booking.com and in the first instance they were about to charge us again but we told them and it got fixed and then somehow the day later the system charged us again. They say it was due to a new system as they only changed over a week ago but it caused a bit of stress temporarily as funds we were going to use on the trip couldn't be used as it was held by the hotel.

The rooms were modern, clean and very comfortable. The overall vibe of the hotel was modern and fresh as it looks and feels like it's recently been renovated. The staff are friendly and helpful, and for those who like slipping in/out without having to talk to people, you can access the hotel without going past the lobby. The location was perfect for us, close enough to walk to Waikiki, the beach or Ala Moana Centre but not too close that you were caught up in the noise and crowds of the main strip. There are two ABC stores within 1min walk and The Bus goes right by the hotel which is handy. We 100% will stay here again on our next visit to Honolulu.

The on site restaurant was closed for construction/renovation which I was not aware of until we arrived. This was not too much of an issue as there are other food options nearby and will be a great addition once it's finished.

More options for the breakfast would be good. The options that are there are really good, but after staying in the hotel for 10 nights, the options become a bit repetitive.
