The room was super clean which was great. It was also a large room. No kettle which was strange, but heated water on the stove top in a saucepan. The kitchen had most of the essentials. The bathroom had a shower over a bathtub and a sink. The balcony overlooking the pool on the 2nd floor was nice. We weren't there for long enough to see more, but overall a clean, comfortable affordable stay for 1 night. I didn't go in the pool, but it appeared nice and clean and a good size.
The kitchen cabinet doors were coming off their hinges, the balcony door didn't lock, so had a small hook bolt only on the inside. The foyer desk area had a horrible smell, and seemed the staff were barricading themselves in the office as there was plexiglass and a small opening only for service. The shower was hard to use, but got the hang of it okay. No elevator for 2nd floor, but the steps were nice and wide, so luggage was okay to move, as long as you have some muscles to get up and down.

The hotel offers free coffee from 7am until 11 am. It is conveniently located in the heart of Waikiki. You can easily walk from the hotel to main attractions like Waikiki and Kuhio Beach, Royal Hawaiian Center, Honolulu Zoo and the International Marketplace. However, it is 20-30 minutes away from the Airport, Aloha Stadium Swap meet and Pearl Harbor.
The AC only works half the time. Sometimes, it’s still too hot inside the room with the AC on and you can hear the conversations taking place outside your room.

Wonderful location, nice ambiance and a pleasant staff. The fact that it’s not a skyscraper where you have to take an elevator every time you want to go to your room or leave to run to the ABC store is a major plus. A little slice of history with a one way street on one side and a huge park leading to the ocean just across the street on the other. Also has a pool and washers and dryers! A big help traveling ,so bring half as many clothes and trice as much money:)
A little rough around the edges but hey, it’s a classic hotel/motel from the 50s so it’s to be expected. Really nothing not to like unless you expected glitz and glam. If you’re down to earth it’s a good spot.

Can’t beat the price, location and ease of access. No frills or elevators to deal with, the Heritage is the best deal in Waikiki. It’s old, built in the 1950’s but well maintained to the best of their handymen’s and housekeeper’s abilities plus very nice gals working the front desk. Fort DeRussy beach is minutes away, busy Kalākaua, Royal Hawaiian Center, shopping and restaurants all at your fingertips. ABC store and CVS across the street……what more can you ask for!!
Nothing to dislike, you get what you pay for at the Heritage, no more, no less!!

Location was amazing! Short 5mins walk from the beach. Amazing little breakfast place right around the corner. The staff was very kind and attentionate. You cannot find better value for your money for the location and quality, highly recommend.
Definitely outdated but it felt part of the charm of the hotel. The bathroom was a little rustic, military barrack style. I was not a big fan of having no wall and just wood shutters, it made every noise (inside or outside) feel like there was nothing blocking it at all. Nothing a good pair of earplugs cant fix!

For the price point, its the BEST value in waikiki. Its not touristy or up to the minute IG chic, but it is surgically clean, unintentionally retro ( you can feel its 1950s roots- we stayed in the saratoga side) and the beds were super comfortable. Amenities were nice, soundproofed bathrooms a plus. If you dont need over the top decor but good decent housing- this is it. And the staff was super helpful and friendly!!
The parking requires finesse ( we had a chevy spark and struggled, but made it work) but thats really the only downside

Wonderful place. Saw the bad rating's but Americans have are brutal at ratings so I figured much. Only complaints that's no daily cleaning and the rooms could have been more tidy. The restroom was a little dirty. Shower curtain had mold on it. They upkeep facilities pretty good. I rated this a 7.5
