We loved the room itself - the design and decor was super modern and the facilities went over and above what we were expecting. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and we arrived to free drinks tokens and a vinyl on the bed which was a nice touch.

The noise. We stayed in room 3 for 3 nights and there was loud live music every night, followed by a DJ / loud music from the bar. It genuinely sounded like the band was playing in the room, the walls were thumping and vibrating. Luckily we were quite jetlagged and tired so we managed to somehow sleep, although it wasn’t preferable and we still had very disturbed sleep. The room needs soundproofing as no ear plugs will help with that level of noise directly below the room!

The entire hotel is such a unique and enjoyable experience - the location is great, the room was fantastic, and being attached to the bar/venue was a fun bonus. We spend a lot of time in LA but had actually never heard of Gold Diggers having a hotel space and this quickly became one of our new favorite spots. The location is perfect to navigate between Hollywood, Koreatown, and other great neighborhoods and you're very close to the highway to get further north or south if you want. We also really loved our room - it was spacious enough to feel like a bit like a studio apartment (tbh it probably wasn't much smaller than the apartment we had in SF years ago hah), and was super comfortable to just hang out in in between activities. Unfortunately we were busy both nights of our stay so we couldn't check out the bands or DJ sets but it was awesome to get ready for the night to the soundtrack of sound check. We caught a few moments going in and out of our room and they bands sounded great. On our next stay we'll definitely carve out time to catch a show.

Being attached to a bar/venue is a double edged sword, especially on the weekends, but my wife and I loved it and didn't have any issues with the sounds.

This is a funky boutique hotel that is not for everyone because it is not your typical hotel. There are not a ton of amenitites or amenity spaces. It is hidden behind a gritty facade in a gritty area. We loved it. Rooms are super clean and comfortable, really well designed and make you feel like a rock star. Loved the vinyl in the rooms ! Loved the free entry to see amazing electronic jazz on Monday night. So impressed. A few free drink tokens didn't hurt either! ;) And the neighborhood restaurant reco's were top notch!

They could have been more accomodating with our check in time. We did come earlier than 3:00 but we gave notice multiple times that we'd be on time or early and they still had us wait until more like 3:30 or 3:45 to get into our room although it didn't seem like there was anyone in there checking out late.

The room was awesome. Totally comfortable and clean. Loved the decor and the selection of vinyl. Loved that all the windows opened to let in fresh air. Super fun bar downstairs. The band (Supertaste) that played our first night was phenomenal---they were sold out, but the staff let us in (for free because we were guests of the hotel) and we had a great time.

The location is a little scary. It's LA, so you need to be prepared for the dirt and the smells and the homeless. With that said, it WAS within walking distance to all the Hollywood hot spots.

Fantastic little property in a great location with great service. The design was exceptionally beautiful and the small number of rooms made it feel intimate. It’s attached to both a bar and a recording studio. I personally loved the thrum of music in the background - it felt like going to sleep with a a very rowdy house party. Also the bed was EXTREMELY comfy. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you don’t like noise - like I said, I loved it but it might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

I simply cannot express how incredible my experience at this hotel was. I’ve never been made to feel so welcome from any establishment in my years of travelling. Not only is the hotel designed and decorated to perfection, with generous amenities, modern devices and entertainment facilities, comfortable beds and bathrooms. The location is excellent, the staff are friendly and the vibe is simply incredible. My room was advertised as a single but the bed was spacious and comfy, and I had a balcony with incredible views of Griffith and the Hollywood sign. The bar is such a great venue and the addition of door entry and free drinks was such a wonderful touch. They were kind enough to store my luggage in the recording studio prior to my evening flight, which made my day so much easier. I can say with absolute certainty that I will not stay in any other hotel when I return to LA in the future. As I work in the music industry, the convenience of a recording studio within the complex is incredibly convenient. I can’t wait to return in future. Thank you!

I have nothing negative to say about my experience!

Awesomeness overload! Comfy beds, linen and bathrobes made of great materials. Vintage record player in our room with a selection of great vinyls. The room had all the amenities and all the style! There is a bar downstairs with live music and a great cocktail menu. Even though it is located in the same building, we did not hear anything much from our room. We had earplugs and a white noise machine provided. The staff is very friendly and had no problem with helping us checking in earlier.

Located in not-so-nice neighborhood, but you don't really need to walk anywhere far as the hotel has everything you might need.

Such a funky and cool space. Staff were lovely! It was great being able to head straight downstairs to such an awesome bar at night. Could hear the sound from above but it didn’t bother us at all and definitely didn’t interrupt sleep. My favourite place to stay after a long journey through California

I stayed in Room 6 which was perfect for one person, and had a lovely private balcony I would sit out on in the evenings to watch the sunset. The staff brought a brand new turntable up to my room so I could play the new records I'd just bought from The Last Bookstore. The room came with a kettle and garment steamer (love!!) and the guest lounge had great coffee. There were some amazing acts which played in the hotel venue, and I ended up making some wonderful local friends at one of the gigs!

Just be aware that there is no elevator to the second floor, so the venue is not accessible to wheelchair users. The area isn't the safest but having the bar open until 2am every night made coming back late at night a lot more comfortable!

The hotel is 100 % unique. The combination of music studio, event location and thoughtfully curated rooms is something special. The people who run the place are inspiring minds with a great heart. The design and equipment of the room is extraordinarily good. Parking is available nearby and for free (which is in LA a real USP).

The area of the hotel is central but not in the heart of a vibrant district. Meaning no cool coffee shops or anything like it in walking distance. But I guess that's the thing about the US. You simply drive everywhere. One word regarding the noise as well. As cool as it is to have free live events every night just downstairs of your room, combined with an awesome with great drinks, the noise in our room was just over the edge. We are good sleepers and yet, you feel like being on stage with the band when in your bed. I would still overly recommend this hotel for alle the good things mentioned above, but you really need to be willing to go to the live acts and enjoy the music instead of trying to get a rest in this place. :)
