The executive double room was well worth the extra money for some breathing and storage space, perfect for our week long stay. The breakfast was largely good but some days the offering was too greasy, and the fruit/healthier options are limited. Still good as a complimentary offering. The location is unbeatable at this price bracket, just a few minutes walk away from many subway lines, from two different stations. As well as just across the road to central park and local bus services. The area is primarily residential and provides well received peace from busy days in bustling central Manhattan. In all, you get what you pay for and I can certainly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to save money on their New York accomodation.

The cleaners did not turn up to the room for the first two days despite requesting daily service. The lift was small and waits were long at busy times eg check-in/out times. Also, the TVs internet connection was down the entirety of our stay, meaningful in-room entertainment was very much limited. There could have been a lovely view from our window but the glass looked as though it was last cleaned many years ago, keeping up with the general feel of lacking maintenance around the hotel, which was most present when looking at peeling paint on the walls, scruffy sealing in bathrooms etc.

The location was AMAZING!!! On one side of the block was central park and the other side is a vibrant neighborhood with everything you need. We LOVED it!! The staff was incredible and very approachable. Every interaction was positive, and they were always willing to accommodate.

The past online reviews of the hotel are accurate. We encountered some problems with the quality of amenities. However, the staff did their best to ensure we had a good stay. Despite the condition of the hotel, the location was so good for the price that I would stay again.

This was our third stay at La Quinta. The location is unbeatable, steps away from Central Park, with a subway station close by. I've have stayed in hotels near Manhattan, but I prefer La Quinta for its lovely neighborhood and noticeably less crowded atmosphere. There are plenty of excellent eateries nearby: enjoy a slice at Two Boots Pizza (thank me later!), savor a delightful brunch at Friedman's, or treat yourself to ice cream from Van Leeuwen (they're awesome). You must visit Le Pain Quotidien in Central Park and try the French Crème Donut (located very near the hotel). The complimentary breakfast is not only very good but also a great money-saver. While the hotel and its rooms are on the smaller side, it's the ideal choice for budget-conscious travelers seeking a cozy stay near Central Park without the overwhelming crowds.

Hotel is located half block from Central Park, close to the most popular spots in there, subway around the corner. Breakfast is included and it is really good, several options and sitting/table area always kept clean. Staff is very friendly and always willing to help. They kept all areas in the hotel very clean, including the room. The one we stayed had a great layout, kind of a U where each bed was set in opposites sides, making it looked like 2 separate small bedrooms. Which was awesome, gave us some privacy. It is small though but expected for the area and price range. However we got by well, even with our suitcases and shopping packages. Hotel has Elevator and it worked fine for 12 floors.

LOCATION WAS PERFECT , THE PARK IS LESS THAN A STREET AWAY PLUS ALL SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS BEST PART OF UPPER WEST SIDE. I GOT THE KING SIZE ROOM AND IT WAS AT THE END OF THE HALL AND VERY QUIET GOOD SHEETS AND THE TOWELS WERE NEW. VERY CLEAN. ALL STAFF FRIENDLY , ALL GUESTS WERE FAMILIES COUPLES OR GROUPS OF FRIENDS . 24 HOURS FRONT DESK ALWAYS HELPFUL AND THE LADY IN CHARGE OF BREAKFAST WAS THE BEST ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND LOOKING TO HAVE EVERYTHING IN STOCK AND CLEAN

THE ELEVATOR WAS TOO SMALL AND SLOW ONLY ONE. THE ROOM KEY GOT DISCONNECTED FOR NO REASON AND THE CORRIDORS NEED NEW CARPETS .

it is close to main areas you can cover on walking distance. turning left from hotel will take you to the Central Park and 7th Avenue. turning right from hotel will take you to many attractions and Hudson River.

there were cockroaches in my room

The location was perfect for my trip purpose. The c/in and c/out process were easy and fast. Also I appreciate the late c/out. Pamela was warm and attentive. She made me feel truly welcomed and cared. Thank you for adding a personal touch that made my stay more enjoyable. Housekeeping is doing great with what they are given. Staff need more tools and be trained...If there is some things missing for example, give them the tools to offer alternatives.

Elevator : very slow Room : The TV couldn't connect to the WiFi, no Netflix or other app to be entertained. No fridge in the room, or any cold storage. Some stains on sheets and towels. Sheets are synthetics and not sure the comforter was well covered. Breakfast : could provide to-go packs options, so can just grab it if we are on rush. Ice machine : I was looking for a container but didn't find any. I figured out it might be in the room, would be nice have some available close to the machine, maybe by the breakfast area.

Like the location. Central Park is a half block away. Very good restaurants also half block away. Plenty of restaurants, markets, and coffee shops close by. Also convenient that a subway station is on the next street. The hotel breakfast was ok. It had coffee, 3 types of juice, cereal and hot food made daily.

Broken shower handle that falls off. Can not open windows and can not close the blinds. One elevator for guest and hotel staff. In our room, we had to leave the entry light on in order to turn on the bathroom light. The room with 2 beds is really small, and the AC unit is directly facing one bed, which is right next to the entry door. The entry door looked like it was broken into and not replaced. Looked like it was easy to push open.

Every think at the La Quinta is excellent. Most of the staff at the resevation are also very good and friendly. However, I had a problem with one staff member at the reservation desk. i need ed o extend for three more days my stay atb the hotel and the first thing in the morning, i approached a staff member at reservation desk and inform her that from Tomorrow, i need to estend for three days, she asked for my room and she told me, yes, you can and you can domit any time to day. I thanked her and left the hotel for my appointment. on my return , I met another staff member and asked her to get registered and pay for the three days, she told you can not, the room is taken, you need to take out your staff tomorrow morning from your room, and you will register at 4 Pm for a new Room . No choice but did what she told me. it was unnecessary hussle. However, it is a case one spoiled apple in a big number and have no ill feeling bwithnthe hotel management. Awash

Location was great! It was just across Central Park. Train station is 2 blocks away. 1 station from Times Square so it was perfect for us. Our 1st Times Square visit was even through Bike Tour in Central Park - our last stop in our bike tour was the road leading to Times Square. :) Beds were really comfy. Although the room is small, it was ok since we didn't stay much inside the room except to sleep. They had cookies to offer the guests. Breakfast was satisfying. Different kinds of eggs and other protein each day. Staff were friendly.
