Good breakfast, clean

During our stay at the hotel, we had an unpleasant incident. While we were away, the maid cleaned the room and for some unknown reason took away the room access card, which is the key to the room's power supply. After that, the power in the room turned off, meaning the ventilation and refrigerator did not work. It's hot in the city, so during this time our food and, possibly, medicines, for which a certain temperature regime is set, spoiled. I was very surprised by the reaction to this incident of the receptionist, who replied "I don't know" and did not even apologize. For a 4* hotel, this is an unacceptable case!

I liked the firm bed, excellent memory pillows and warmth in the room and the hotel. The breakfast was exceptional - big selection of everything, plus freshly squeezed orange juice! The location is central. Free bottled water every day on the room. Really kind housekeeping - everything is super clean and cleaned every day.

The only downside is the noise that comes from the corridors, you hear everything - but if you have good neighbors, it's ok once they enter the room. The ventilation system producing certain noise until 23:00 then it is quiet. For me the noise insulation is very important for good night sleep, but for the circumstance I had amazing sleep most of the nights.

This is a large working hotel on a busy central Street, about 15/20 minutes (uphill) walk to the centre and cathedral, so it's well located. Very near (about 2 minute walk)a public car park. My room was spacious, with a kettle and small fridge. There is a lot of traffic and building going on in the area so ask for a quiet, high up room. (They gave me one and it was perfect). Big buffet breakfast with all the usual selection of cold and hot food. Also there is a small rooftop pool and a small gym.

It's a very busy hotel, lots of tour groups/ dinner events,/graduations etc so it was difficult to use the lift at peak times. (I feel the staff could have helped to organise the queues a little - I walked down a few times) Large groups at early breakfast so I recommend waiting until about 9:15. It may have been the time of year (end of June).

Great coffee machine and nice assortment on the buffet breakfast. Swimming pool was lovely. Comfortable bed.

The roof top area looked very sad. Restaurant and bar on the roof all closed up (seems permanent). Plants around the pool looked like they are never watered and look half dead. I found my room very dark but couldn’t leave the curtains open and there were workman on scaffolding on high floors of new construction opposite and the heat on the glass you could fry an egg on. Would have been nice to have transparent blinds as well to let some light in.

Big bed. Clean room. Possibility to have a small breakfast at the hotel bar instead of the big expensive breakfast in the restaurant.

Shower leaked, not a malfunction but a design flaw. The screen was not long enough on the side to prevent the water from flowing into the bathroom, and if you take a long shower, into the room itself. They didn't replenish the teas and we had to ask for cups on the first day. The walk from the train station was uphill all the way, and then from the hotel to the cathedral, a continuation of the hill. Not a fault of the hotel, but just the way Jaén is.

This marked my inaugural trip to Spain, prompting me to seek advice from my friend residing in Jaén city for a suitable hotel in proximity to his address. Following his recommendation, I chose this hotel. Upon entering the reception at around 8 PM, I immediately felt positive vibes. The location was superb, eliminating the need for a car, and the cleanliness standards were commendable. After a swift check-in, I proceeded to my room, pleasantly surprised by its spaciousness, featuring two beds, and a pristine bathroom with a large tub. The only drawback was the internet, which proved rather slow, sufficient only for texting and making voice calls. While the staff had limited English proficiency, I managed to communicate effectively with them, appreciating their amiability, respectfulness, and hospitality. My experience in Jaén city was delightful, and if I decide to visit Spain again next year, I will undoubtedly reserve a room at the Condestable Iranzo Hotel again. The laundry service is not complimentary, and the reception staff provided me with a list of prices. While not overly expensive, the service's quality exceeded expectations, being both fast and neatly executed.

Nice hotel with an excellent location in the centre of Jaen. There is a car park opposite the hotel a couple of minutes walk away and for the overnight stay it was 17 euros. Staff were very friendly and helpful and checkin was quick and easy. The room was very spacious and very clean with excellent facilities and the bathroom was spacious and again good facilities. There is a bar and restaurant on site and drinks were reasonably priced. There are also lots of bars and restaurants close by to the hotel. The main centre and cathedral were about a 15 to 20 minute walk away.

Overall a great stay but there was some noise from a group of young adults running up and down the corridor at about 11.30pm. It didn't last long but did wake us up. However, we would stay here again.

Friendly and helpful staff, arranged taxi services so we could do some exploring and check out Castillo de Santa Catalina. Very fast response time to messages sent on Booking.com. Great location and loads of facilities on-site - restaurant, bar, cafe, pool, gym and vending machines for drinks and snacks. Restaurants and supermarkets close by also. Paid parking available across the road, just a few minutes walk.

Really nice hotel in a very good location to explore Jaen. Good room size and the breakfast was excellent. The pool was an added bonus, but was a little chilly. Great views from the 9th floor pool area.

The bed was very firm and I'm sure suits some people, but too firm for us. The wifi was almost non existent in our room. I reported this and a technician came up and it did improve, but only for 5 minutes. In public areas the wifi worked well, but not in our room.

The location was excellent, Museo Íbero is located in a walking distance and there are lot of attractive restaurants and bars around the hotel. I liked the park view from our window.

We were told their parking was full and needed to park in public place; it was in front of the hotel though. The sounds from the next door were heard so clearly as if they are from the same room.
